I am 58 years old and a diabetic and having hypothyroidism. I am taking metformin and thyroxine. I heard thyroxine reduces the absorption of metformin. Please advise whether I can continue the treatment ?

If your thyroid and sugar both under control, then don't think too much. Thyroxine is to be taken on empty stomach and metformin to be taken with food and both doesn' t have any interaction with each other.

I am one week late. My LMP 30.3.17 .I have no baby last pregnancy is ectopic Dec-15 Cramping in my lower abdomen and backache also. I am a banker. 8 to 9 hours my sitting. Pls help me.

Hi, stop eating junk and processed food. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Take dates with milk in the morning. Include protein rich food in your diet. No drink before and with meals. If you are non vegetarian include eggs chicken and fish in your diet. Take small and frequent meals.

To increase your muscle mass your diet must have good amount of protein and complex carbs. Weight training will help you define your muscles and gain the bulk but only if your body gets adequate amount of nutrients. Good quality proteins such as curd paneer eggs chicken and fish will help you gain weight with our much fat gain. And you need to load carbohydrates when you do strength training for chest and arms. I have a pimples in my head and also getting pain. What is the reason for this. And also I need remedy for this problem.

Pimples or acne is caused when Hair follicles in your skin gets clogged due to oil, dirt, bacteria or dead skin. Acne generally occurs in people with oily skin but other factors like dead skin, dirt, pollution or hormonal imbalance can also cause acne in people with normal skin. Acne can be reduced or controlled by including some habits in your daily life style. 1. Keep your skin clean – Wash your face daily with an oil control face wash. You can also use a good AHA glow face wash that not only controls oil but also removes dead skin and bacteria. You can also use Tea Tree face wash 2 times a day. By shedding the old dead skin, your skin feels rejuvenated and clean. Apply a good toner, like tea tree toner after washing your face. After toning, apply an oil free and non- comedogenic cream on face. Last but not the least, apply a good sunscreen with minimum 30 spf daily. 1.Face packs – Occasionally apply good oil controlling face packs. Multani mitti + Lemon + yogurt is a good face packs for oily skin beauties. You can apply organic apple cider for 5 minutes after washing your face to kill the bacteria that clogs your pores. Green Tea can also be used as a toner once a day. 2.Diet – Most important thing is diet. Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. Weight reduction can not be done over night. You have to take it as a way of life. Do Diet control. no sugar in tea, coffee,milk etc. NO sweets Take small frequent meals. When you get used to it, skip one meal. Then after 3 months skip an other meal, & so on? You should do non weight bearing Yoga exercises. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore It. could be beginning of a serious problem.

Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning and once in the evening and give feedback after 6 days.

I have been planning to take Viagra tablets as I couldn't get a good erection. From past 5 years suffering from gastric burning sensation in my heart region and also lower abdominal pain. I'm tired most of the times. Hope I think this could be the reason also I have bad habit of smoking twice a day and also a occasional drinker. Hello, first f all try to correct your life style, try to reduce the smoking habit because this may be main cause of weak erections. Take natrum phos 6x, 5 tabs twice daily before meals. Hi for increasing body weight, start eating more chapatis and rice with ghee or butter. Take creamed milk upto 400 ml daily. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, take pulses and pulses products. You can eat homemade fried foods but avoid eating from the market. If you eat non-veg then eat 2 to 3 pcs. Of egg or fish thrice a week. Also take 4 to 6 pcs. Of almonds or cashew nuts or some raisins. Must take exercise daily as it helps in better absorption of food and also increases your satiety.
