Have a bank job that requires me to have 50% time travelling. But am having a shearing pain in my gums for the past 5 days. Unable to sleep or chew without pain killers. Kindly advice.

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user if you are having so much discomfort, I would suggest you see a dentist wherever you are, so at least the cause can be identified and appropriate treatment options discussed. You can then opt for complete trratment there, or at least get some temporary measures to relieve the pain long enough for you to get to your home town where you can get the more long term solution from your regular dentist.

I am having problem with my teeth. I cannot drink cold drinks or even eat hot dishes. Please suggest me a good remedy for this.

BDS
Dentist,
Firstly it has to be diagnosed whether it is your teeth/tooth tat bothers you. Then the bothering teeth should be taken an x-ray, has to undergo root canal treatment followed by crown or bridge placement which will relieve you.

Hi I am raghu I have a small dental problem I would like to implant with new one one should I want to confirm is whether I will proceed with glass cement or composite .please help in that.

MPH, BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Only if the tooth is grossly decayed, we will need to go for extraction of the tooth. After that you can go for dental implant. If the tooth can be saved, it will go for RCT and crown.

Some oral diseases do not get detected until they reach their mature stage. Visiting a dentist at regular intervals would mean keeping constant tabs on your oral health.

Hello sir, I have bad breath so what can I do to get free from that so please tell me.

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.

I am having no pain still my dentist said that there is deep decay in my 2 molars and I have to go for root canal and they said it will took 5 sittings. Is this correct as I read it somewhere that it only takes one sitting? Also, what is the charge of root canal along with capping in India?

BDS, Masters in Immediate Loading Implants, Digital Smile Degin , Fellowship in Implantology
Dentist, Gurgaon
not necessarily only pain teeth go for rct. if cavaity is deep which can be seen by xray rct is must. there are single sitting rct available but not necessarily every tooth can be treated by single sitting rct it all depends on amount of infection and many other reasons. charges of rct+crown are variable from 5k-15k

If that is wart then it is due to fungal infection. Consult good dentist for anti-fungal medication.

I brush Twice or thrice A day. My Teeth remain yellow .I tried many products like Paste different Brands but my teeth didn't get Whiter. I need Your suggestion to get whiter teeth.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
For better looking teeth, the first and most important thing is that you teeth should be clean, and free from plaque (accumulated food debris) and stains. For that, you must get professional scaling/cleaning done from a dentist. After that, you can head for tooth whitening procedures such as bleaching and laser tooth whitening. Home remedies such as lemon peel and apple cider vinegar can be used, but being acidic in nature, they eventually wear off the outermost layer of teeth (enamel) making them weak in the long run. So better go for trusted scientific procedures. Hope that helps.

Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

I have lot of gaps between my tooths and also I have bad smell in my mouth how can I get relief from these problems.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
it is little early to have gaps n teeth . maintain oral hygiene . The best way to get rid of bad breath & improve oral health is good oral hygiene like brushing your teeth twice a day with colgate fresh mint toothpaste regular rinse with Mouthwashes (listerine )after meals . this will help to avoid the bacteria in plaque, that accumulates in the mouth, you have to visit dental surgeon ,discuss problem with him and take treatment that is routine cleaning and polishing of teeth to remove most surface stains and oral cleanliness to make sure your teeth stay healthy.

What to do in case of pus formation in gums? Any medicine of ointment or massage cream to cure?

MDS
Dentist, Kolkata
No ointment is there for your problem, take antibiotics, get an X-ray done of the tooth involved, either get a root canal filling done of your tooth or get it extracted.

Hi My tooth is paining a lot since yesterday. Its making me feel the whole left jaw is paining. What to do to get rid of this pain till I visit a dentist?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Hi its because of decay in your tooth. You have a infection in your tooth that can only go away if you get it treated otherwise the infection will increase. You can take ketorol dt one in the morning and one in the night. But its just for temporary relief. Medications dont solve the problem in dental pains. Only procedures and treatment can help you out. Go see a dentist right away.

I have a bump on my tongue for long time now but today when I google about it I was shocked to know it can be anything from normal bump to a oral tumor. Can you help?

BDS, MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user, Do not worry at all. If you are not a tobacco chewer or a smoker (from a long time), chances of tumor are negligible. I would recommend you to visit a well qualified dentist and discuss your problem. As for confirming anything we need to see clinically. I assure you that even if its a tumor it can be cured at early stage and prognosis these days is fair. So thats y its important that you visit a dentist ASAP. I know it would not b a tumor.
