How Hypnotherapy Helps To Deal With Fear And Phobias?

How Hypnotherapy Helps To Deal With Fear And Phobias?

Jumping at the sight of a cockroach is normal, but some people won't even step into the room if they see one. Such people are said to suffer from a phobia of cockroaches. A phobia can be defined as the irrational fear of an object or situation, though it may not pose any real danger. A phobia often develops during childhood and gets aggravated as the person gets older.

Hypnotherapy has proven to be an effective form of treatment for phobias and fear. Hypnosis identifies the root cause or event that is the underlying cause of the phobia. A Hypnotherapist then attempts to change the person's reaction to the phobia trigger.

Some common phobias Hypnotherapists deal with are:

  • Fear of heights
  • Claustrophobia
  • Fear of insects and small animals
  • Fear of flying
  • Fear of technology

To do this a Hypnotherapist must ensure that the mind of the person is in a calm and relax state. This is because the root cause of a phobia is often a repressed memory. Thus, it can be accessed only when a person is in a state of heightened relaxation or trance. In this state, the mind is very receptive to suggestions. Once the memory has been addressed, it can be brought back to the conscious awareness. Addressing this conscious memory allows the therapist to make the patient feel less threatened by this trigger. The patient can then begin to form new thoughts and responses to the object or situation. This process is also known as Hypnotic regression.

A person normally needs 3-4 sessions of Hypnotherapy to be rid of a phobia. However, the number of sessions required varies from person to person and it may take additional sessions to cure a chronic phobia.

No. of sessions required depends on a number of factors such as:

  • How long the person has had the said phobia
  • His personality
  • How severely his life is affected by the phobia
  • How determined he is to free himself of the phobia

When you decide to work with a Hypnotherapist to get rid of your phobias, it is essential that you make the right choice in terms of the Hypnotherapist. You should ensure that you are being treated by a licensed professional Hypnotherapist. Also, make sure that you can trust the person and are comfortable in his or her presence. Take your time finding someone who you can open yourself up to and get started on conquering your fears.

• Eating saturated fats and trans-fatty acids
• Choosing healthier fats
• Not drinking any alcohol
Answer: Choosing healthier fats
When you are affected with high cholesterol levels, you should choose the fats very wisely. You must try to avoid trans-fatty acids and saturated fats at any cost which are mainly availed from dairy products, processed meat, and packed foods. Make sure you avoid cookies, crackers, snack cakes which are commercially produced as they tend to increase your bad cholesterol levels.

Thus, you should avoid these foods and replace them with lean meats, beans and skimmed milk. Moreover, it is advised to choose whole grain products which promote the health of your heart. Also, fruits and vegetables are high in dietary fiber which helps you to feel fuller longer and reduce the burden of cholesterol.

Take a brisk walk each day for at least 20 minutes. You can also do interval training for reaping the benefits of exercise without straining yourself. If you are not at all into exercise, you can start with brisk walking for at least 30 minutes each day. To keep up the motivation, find an exercise buddy or join a workout group.

Hi doctor yesterday I fingered my girlfriend I have one doubt that when I put finger on her vagina it easily went on her hole I have doubt That her hymen is already broken or we can finger her when her hymen is already broken.

MBBS, MD - Social & Preventive Medicine / Community Medicine, Fellowship of european union of sexual medicine, Fellowship in diabetes
Sexologist, Chandrapur
It depends how deep you inserted your finger in her vagina. If it was sufficiently deep then probably she has already broken her hymen which may not be necessarily due to sex as there r several causes of hymen breakage like heavy exercise, horse riding etc.

What You Should Know About Heel Pain?

What You Should Know About Heel Pain?
  • Plantar Fasciitis is a disorder that results in pain in the heel and bottom of the foot. The pain is usually most severe with the first steps of the day or following a period of rest. The condition typically comes on slowly. In about a third of people both legs are affected.
  • Risk factors for plantar fasciitis include overuse such as from long periods of standing, an increase in exercise, and obesity. It is also associated with inward rolling of the foot and a lifestyle that involves little exercise. While heel spurs are frequently found it is unclear if they have a role in causing the condition. Plantar fasciitis is a disorder of the insertion site of the ligament on the bone characterized by micro tears, breakdown of collagen, and scarring. The diagnosis is typically based on signs and symptoms with ultrasound sometimes used to help. Other conditions with similar symptoms include osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, heel pad syndrome, and reactive arthritis.

Procrastination - 10 Things To Know About It!

Procrastination - 10 Things To Know About It!

Procrastination is a way of sabotaging oneself by putting off activities and delaying success. This is an emotional and mental obstacle that many people face in varying degrees. So here is everything you need to know about procrastination.

  1. It becomes a lifestyle: As per medical research, about 20% of the people who procrastinate, have been doing it on a chronic basis and can now safely say that this is a lifestyle and not just a habit that one has fallen prey to.
  2. It is cultivated: Contrary to popular belief, procrastination is not something that anyone is born with. It is cultivated with constant inaction over a period of years, which also includes the act of making excuses to put off a task.
  3. Excessive alcohol consumption: In many cases, procrastinators will end up enjoying higher consumption of alcohol than their contemporaries. This may be done to alleviate boredom before the excessive consumption becomes a habit, which further dulls the senses.
  4. Hiding from the truth: It has been seen that procrastinators often lie to themselves or hide the truth about their problem by making mindless excuses, which do not actually exist. They are chronic liars who come to believe their lies, which can give rise to even more severe behavioural issues.
  5. Distractions: Most people who procrastinate will look for distractions that will keep them from doing their work properly. This may include watching television or eating, or even doing mindless chores that are not important.
  6. Focus: Many of these procrastinators have problems when it comes to focusing and finding solutions for various tasks. They cannot prioritise and put their mind to a certain task, which also prevents them from understanding the requirements for completing that task.
  7. Avoiders: These types of procrastinators usually avoid doing the tasks that will lead them to success. They do not make the effort to carry out the necessary tasks in a proper manner.
  8. Decisional procrastinators: These kind of procrastinators simply cannot find the motivation to take a decision that will change the direction of their lives by putting one step in front of the other on a daily basis.
  9. Cost of procrastination: There is a huge cost that is borne by these kinds of people in the long run. While missing deadlines, losing jobs and not graduating from college are just some of the consequences, many of them also come down with a plethora of health conditions including gastrointestinal diseases.
  10. Therapy for procrastination: The best way to transform a procrastinator is with the help of cognitive behavioural therapy, which can help in reprogramming the brain with fruitful, guided discussions and internal dialogues. This kind of therapy works well in the long run.

Hello lybrate-user. As you said, if you have stopped breast feeding a short while back then it will take sometime to reduce the milk completely from the breasts and hence the size. If it does not come down then we can prescribe you tablets which will decrease milk production. The size however you can wait for a year long, with gentle massaging and proper undergarments which will help in resolving most of your issues. For the face definitely you can use the gel based moisturizers during the day, you can text me for more details.
