I am having a dry lips situation which doesn't seem reduce. I apply lip balm every day but that's just a temporary solution. After few hours my lips dry again and the lip skin starts peeling off similar to as in the case of dry lips. This happen all seasons irrespective of humidity in the climate. Am I having some deficiency and how can I take care of it if yes?

Hello, Lips can become chapped or dry when they are exposed to the sun, wind, and cold or dry air. Licking lips, dehydration, nutritional deficiency and few medication can be other reasons for making the lips dry. Consider these tips: Protect your lips. Before going out in cold, dry weather, apply a lubricating lip cream or balm that contains sunscreen — and then cover your lips with a scarf. Reapply often while outdoors. Avoid licking your lips. Saliva evaporates quickly, leaving lips drier than before you licked them. If you tend to lick your lips, avoid flavored lip balm — which may tempt you to lick your lips even more. Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids, and moisten the air in your home with a humidifier. Avoid allergens. Avoid contact with irritants or allergens, such as fragrances or dyes, in cosmetics or skin care products. Breathe through your nose. Breathing through your mouth can cause your lips to dry out. If chapping is severe and doesn't respond to treatment at home, consult your doctor. Rarely, persistent chapped lips may indicate an underlying problem. A lip balm containing petroleum or beeswax will provide a barrier and help seal in moisture. Use Bakson’s Lip Balm.

Hi Dr. my weight is 107 kg I already doing workouts and walking of 40 min I'm not eating any fast food junk food or any oily ar fatty item I eat only a oats and dalia n green veges last 3 mnth only a 2 times a month I eat any other food items also a drink lemon water 3 times a day green tea 3 times a day drink a 16 glass of water doing all these thing dieting workout walking and drink lemon water green tea my weight is not reduced why and what I do.

1. Your diet plan is not balanced, though it seems low in calories. 2. Lemon water or green tea does not lead to any weight loss, hence these things are not needed. 3. Excessive water is also not needed. 4. Since the diet you are having currently has not worked, you can switch to a simpler diet, with one/two roti in each meal with sufficient protiens 5. Take 2-3 fruits daily and a few dry fruits. 6. Crash diets can create unpredictable results. 7. Its better to take slow steps, with balanced diet and with longer time frame. 8. Health and fitness is a long term investment, you just need to work with patience and persistence and you will see things changing.

Please do treadmill for at least 45-60 minutes daily. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. Limit your food intake which SHOULD be and ONLY be 4 times a day. Avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods.

I am working out in gym regularly should abuse any protein supplements to gain my muscles. Could you suggest this?

You need to take a high protein high calorie diet eat more protein foods do exercise eat good fats eat more vegetables and fruits.

    • Complete blood count test: The aim of this test is to assess your overall health and identify a range of disorders such as anaemia, leukaemia, and infection to name a few.
    • Fasting/blood sugar test: The test is performed to diagnose diabetes.  A fasting blood glucose level of less than 100mg/dl is considered normal.
    • Thyroid stimulating hormone test: This test is taken to check for problems in the thyroid gland.
    • Rubella test: It is used to identify antibodies that are formed in the blood, as a result of immunisation or the rubella infection.
    • HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography): The test is performed to determine Thalassemia.
    • Urine microscopy: The test helps in determining the condition of your urinary tract and kidney. It identifies injury, presence of disease or inflammation of these areas. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Psychologist.

U may have paneer once in a while. Ayurved considers incompatible food not good for your body. Paneer and cheese are incompatible food items. So u should not consume it daily.

Hi, do regular exercise. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight include protein rich food in your diet. No drink before meals. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals.
