Hi, weight-loss is a gradual process. It is only the by product of leading a healthy lifestyle. Honestly you wont be able to lose 10kgs in a month and it is also not good to do so. Below are some tips to get you started on the weight-loss journey. 1. Never eat a snack out of a carton or a cover. Always use a cup or a plate to so you know how much you are eating. 2. Have atleast one bright colored fruit and one bright colored vegetable a day 3. Take a small snack box to office with almonds, walnuts and other dry fruits to satisfy your cravings 4. Try to have your dinner by 8 so that you are not too hungry and also make healthy choices at dinner. 5. People who eat breakfast have a better success rate at losing weight. 6. Beware of zero trans fat and fat free foods as you might end up eating high sugar and carb containing foods. 7. People who are emotional eaters learn to identify the emotion that makes you eat unhealthy food and try diverting your mind to something else you love 8. If your plates are too big trade them off for a 9 inch plates 9. Replace your weighing scale with a tape measure. 10. Share your weight-loss journey with a family member or friend so that you are accountable to each other. 11. Green tea atleast once a day will help you boost your metabolism 12. Sleep helps in repair and regulating your hormones. Sleep atleast 8 hours in a day. 13. Have fruits atleast twice a day 14. Drink water if you feel you are hungry to check if its hunger or thirst. 15. Lastly, keep a positive attitude and visualize yourself thin.

Women s Health Tips for Heart, Mind, and Body

Looking for the path toward a healthier you? it’s not hard to find. The journey begins with some simple tweaks to your lifestyle.

The right diet, exercise, and stress-relief plan all play a big role.

Follow a heart-healthy diet — there’s an easy recipe if your goal is to keep away problems like heart disease and strokes.

– eat more fruits and veggies.
– choose whole grains. Try brown rice instead of white. Switch to whole wheat pasta.
– choose lean proteins like poultry, fish, beans, and legumes.
– cut down on processed foods, sugar, salt, and saturated fat.

Exercise every day — the more active you are, the better, meng says. Exercise boosts your heart health, builds muscle and bone strength, and wards off health problems.

Aim for 2 and a half hours of moderate activity, like brisk walking or dancing, every week. If you’re ok with vigorous exercise, stick to 1 hour and 15 minutes a week of things like running or playing tennis. Add a couple of days of strength training, too.

Vaginal yeast infection: causes, symptoms & natural tips to cure

If you’re busy, try short bursts of activity throughout the day. Walk often. A good target is 10, 000 steps a day. Take the stairs. Park your car far away from your destination.

Lose weight — when you shed pounds you’ll lower your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer.

Aim for a slow, steady drop. Try to lose 1-2 pounds a week by being active and eating better.

“it doesn’t have to be an hour of intense exercise every day,”.

“any little bit helps.”

As you improve, dial up the time and how hard you work out. If you want to lose a lot of weight, try for 300 minutes of exercise a week.

Healthy diet not just important but is a necessity

Cut down your stress — it can take a toll on your health. You probably can’t avoid it altogether, but you can find ways to ease the impact. Don’t take on too much. Try to set limits with yourself and others. It’s ok to say no.

To relieve stress, try:

– deep breathing
– massage
– exercise
– healthy eating

Take time every day to invest in your health.

I am 26 years old female. I have been diagnosed with chronic urticaria. M taking allegra 180 twice and zempred 8 and xyzal m once at night. M observing weight loss and frequent stools at nyt. Is any of the above medicine responsible for both of these?

The followings are the causative factors for urticaria: Allergens Having a cold bath immediately after exercise Mental excitement Intestinal worms Exposure to cold wind Contact with an external irritant such as nettle, insect, physical agents, or neurogenic factors. Find out your one and act accordingly. If weight loss and frequent stools are there, perform deworming first. You can go for a complete panchkarma too. After that LKC of organic india for a month. No need to take antiallergic tab. In long run. All this happen when PITTA of our body got disturbed with VATA (if prickling sensation is there) or Kapha (if itching is predominent. So avoid: sour foods, salty, pungent, and heavy foods which are difficult to digest. Improving on the intake of water preferably warm water and food which helps digestion and easy balance of vata. Take timely regular wholesome meals (5 meals /day, 3 main meal+ 2 snacks) in a conductible non disturbing atmosphere.

Get this: when a recent study compared the metabolic effect of green tea (in extract) with that of a placebo, researchers found that the green-tea drinkers burned about 70 additional calories in a 24-hour period. If you can believe it, those 70 calories a day add up to a total of 7.3 pounds of fat a year! it's not magic, it's science: researchers believe the difference is caused by metabolism-enhancing antioxidants known as catechins, which are found in green tea.

Dear lybrate-user, Vaccinations are to create an environment that will sensitize your body to the attack of a singular virus. After the age of 18, the action of vaccines have been challenged. Instead of vaccination, take proper care to build your immunity to be able to fight any and every attack. We can teach you how. Regards.

I am 62 yr. Male no diabetic. BP 90/130 taking tablet tenormin25 & stamlo 5.i am handicap with leg. I can't walk to long. I have corolstrol problem. I want to maintain LDL &HDL pl. Suggest me medicine for my body.

MBBS, DNB (General Medicine), Certified in Evidence Based Diabetes Management, MNAMS
Internal Medicine Specialist, Kolkata
Thank you for the query. As per the history you have provided, you are hypertensive (BP 130/90 mm of Hg, on Tenormin 25 and Stamlo 5 mg), have hyperlipidemia (raised cholesterol) and non-diabetic. It would be helpful, if you would have posted the reprots of the lipid profile. Itis advisable to maintain your Total cholesterol <200 mg%, LDL <120 mg% and HDL >45 mg%. The Triglyceride level should be <150 mg%. Since you have limited walking capacity, you need to modify on the diet. Reduce the intake of saturated fat (ghee, butter etc) and refined carbohydrate. The Statin (Atorvastatin, Rosuvastatin) group of medications is effective in reducing cholesterol, but should be taken only after consulting your physician. Regards.
