Hi, I had severe teeth pain and have undergone root canal treatment. After cleaning the teeth I got rid of the pain and I didn't go for next visit to complete the treatment. Now its root is open and again the pain started. What should I do now, if I start treatment will it get cured or its more serious?

BDS
Dentist, Kanchipuram
Hi sometimes a rct requires multiple visits and you have to complete the procedure immediately. Don't worry about the pain it will subside once the rct is done properly. After completing the rct please cover the tooth with a crown for proper chewing.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

I have a gum bleeding problem. What are the reasons for this and how can I overcome from this.

BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Your gums are bleeding because of plaque deposits around the tooth plaque means the food material which we eat gets deposited and hardened you have to visit your nearby dentist and get your teeth cleaned properly. This wii stop the blending of the gums.

The type of treatment you have for toothache /sensitivity/swelling will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks.

If you are not having any sort of pain or senitivity you can simply go for esthetic or cosmetic filling, if its paining visit dentist for proper clinical examination with diagnostic xrays for further treatment like root canal therapy and followed by capping of the tooth for strengthening it.

Advise deep cleaning, polishing, whitening (bleaching) procedures, artificial enamel filling or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. Cause of discoloration – Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics.

Can you pls tell me how to maintain my oral hygiene & pls help me to get rid of these problems as I am not able to take too cold as well as too hot stuff.

Hi, you may be suffering from calculus deposition, which can cause gingivitis and periodontitis. I would advice you to go for full mouth scaling, and for sensitivity you can go for restoration if the gingiva has receded. I could help you more if you can send me a pic of your gingiva.
