Hi. Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? any underlying medical condition? the pain in legs can be because of - muscle cramps (due to tiredness or dehydration), shin splints (doing activity over and over on hard surfaces can bring this on. You may also be more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Rest your legs to feel better. Ice helps), tendinitis (you can get it from overworking the calf muscle or climbing the stairs, apply ice to get some relief), sprains (do rest, ice, compression & elevation). Other causes are varicose veins, arterial disease, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy. Medication: meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - arnica 200 and rhus tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply schwabe's topi-arnica and topi mp gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi looks like you have restless legs syndrome (rls) kindly rule out iron deficiency, diabetes. It can also be due to peripheral neuropathy alcohol and sleep deprivation. Treatment * begin a regular exercise program, *establish a regular sleep patterns, and *eliminating or decreasing the use of caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco, may be helpful. *leg massages *apply hot baths or heating pads or ice packs to the legs do reply for detail treatment plan. Dear lybrate user, you must take rhus tox 200 thrice a day five drops in water for two days and call back in detail for further course of medicine. Do massage of legs with seasame oil at night daily. Take vitamin d. Also take one dose of four tablets of kali phos 12 x daily at night for five days.

You may be having sinusitis may be due to allergy. Do warm saline gargle have homemade freshly prepared lemon juices which is rich in vitamin c thereby increasing your body autoimmune system which prevents infections including vral infection. For the time being tou can take a tab of p-aracetamol or calopl and a tab of cetrazene.

I am daily using net in the night between 11 pm to 1 am after that I gonna try to sleep but waking whole night I didn't sleep till 4 am. This problem occurred last 3 months. Please help me?

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time .8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

It requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Dear lybrate-user if you are overweight you should avoid jogging as you body weight impact the ground and you can get serious injuries in your knees and legs so stop jogging instead of that do cycling or swimming which is non impactive and also you can do brisk walking but avoid jogging.

I am I CA student and I am preparing for my exams now, now a days I am feeling very sleepy. I could not even concentrate for 1 hour continuously. I have already given up mobile and listening to music which was a good booster for me. Now I feel very depressed and I don't know how I have self generated a fear of failure. Please help me. I take a cup of coffee daily, a strong one. I do exercise daily but it isn't working. please help me with some suggestions to concentrate. Should I take the memory tonics available in the market.

Yes, you can go for memory tonics. Apart from that, try to meditate for 15 minutes daily in the morning and evening. Also, do not completely avoid music, you can hear it from time to time. Try concentration exercises like: take a book or a magazine and count the number of words in a single paragraph. Count them again to ensure that you have counted correctly. You can start off with one paragraph and as you get used to it, move on to counting words in two paragraphs. Then move on to counting words on the whole page. Make sure that you perform the counting mentally and only with your eyes without pointing your finger at each word. This is one of the simplest brain exercises to improve concentration. Select an inspiring word or just a simple sound and think about it in your mind, repeating it in your mind for 5 minutes. Once your mind has begun to concentrate on it easily, move on to 10 minutes of uninterrupted concentration. When you start feeling drained out just tell yourself 5 more pages and stay with the book.

Bipolar disorder is an episodic illness. There may be episodes of depression or episodes of mania, when they are very active, talk a lot, loud and fast. They may be wanting to buy dresses and jewelry and may want to spend lot of money. They may be very religious, and become irritable, argumentative, and that they are always right. Both the phases of illness depression and mania are distressing to the family. With the mood stabilizing drugs, their moods will be stabilized. They need to take drugs continuously under the supervision of a psychiatrist. While taking drugs, these episodes of mania and depression can be prevented. Sometimes even while on drugs may develop mood disturbances. These mood disturbances are milder and can be controlled faster. You need not worry too much about her are or about the children. As time passes, these episodes of mood disturbance also becomes less and less.

How to avoid sleep disturbance?

How to avoid sleep disturbance?
Ideal sleep duration is maximum six to seven hours a day.

The following tips help one to avoid sleep disturbance:

A) have bath regularly in evening after coming from work or before going to bed.
Early to bed and early to rise (awake) is a nice process for natural sleep cycle.

B) do not engage mind in active work or stressful talking at night before bed time.

C) do not engage mind in too much of computer work in night before bed time (for example, do not do stock market work in night).

D) do not read or view illicit or pornographic material at any time preferably.

E) do not take heavy meals in night. Best is to have heavy breakfast, lighter lunch and lightest dinner to maintain stomach rhythm which affects sleep. Vegetarian diet is best for good sleep.

F) do not over engage mind in television in night.

H) do not smoke cigarette, chew tobacco, tobacco containing masala, or similar intoxicants which can disturb rhythm of mind and disturb sleep cycle.

I) no tea or coffee in night (preferably cocoa and caffeine containing drinks should be totally avoided for best results).

J) listen to relaxing music and even then if you do not get sleep, then hear soothing stories or nice talks.

K) read books which not only calm the mind but also nourish the thinking process.

It is best not to depend on sleep medicines for sleep disturbance as in long run, they lead to dependency and increased disturbance.

Never rely on alcohol for sleep. Some people use alcohol to help them sleep, but that's not a good idea. At first, drinking alcohol may make you sleepy and help you fall asleep. But when you drink alcohol, you are more likely to wake up later in the night and have a hard time falling back asleep. This can leave you feeling tired the next day.

Your head ache can be due to so many reasons such as indigestion, sleeplessness, cold or sinus, hot sun, excessive work, mental tension etc. Please try to identify and tell me reasons as you experience. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this, which acts internally without adverse effects. Take belladonna 200 once in the morning and once in the evening for 4 days and give feedback.
