apply volini gel on neck, do warm fomentation, in pain free period do neck exercises , by moving neck up down, left and right. avoid high pillow. it will help. if not ok in 3 weeks then do x ray cervical spine to clear doubt about cervical spondylitis take protein rich diet, do your thyroid profile test, once to find out any cause of hair fall.

To reduce fat you need to be particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.

My daughter suffering from lower chronic pain. She did not walk because of pain. The X Ray Report as under Lumbo-sacral spine appears straightened. Disc space between L5-S1 is decreased. Bony density.

Abdominal Contraction •Lie on your back with knees bent and hands resting below ribs. •Tighten abdominal muscles to squeeze ribs down toward back. •Be sure not to hold breath. •Hold 5 seconds. •Relax. •Repeat 10 times. ••Slowly bend and straighten knee. •Repeat 10 times Wall Squats •Stand with back leaning against wall. •Walk feet 12 inches in front of body. •Keep abdominal muscles tight while slowly bending both knees 45 degrees. •Hold 5 seconds. •Slowly return to upright position. •Repeat 10 times.

It may be low back pain with sciatica. In sciatica pain radiates along the leg. Reasons can be-* *sitting in inconvenient posture constantly, without changing your position or without movement, *wearing ill fitting sandals, *lack of exercise or *internal disorder like arthritis. Point to observe- * if you have difficulty in climbing stairs, take lift while going upstairs. If there is no lift, go up slowly. * if it is due to strain of games or injury, take rest. * if it is due to obesity, reduce weight. * if it is due to constant sitting at a particular posture, change posture and engage in slow walk. * walking regularly at slow pace without unduly straining helps as it improves blood circulation around knee and eases the joint. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. I am 52 years old female suffering from swelling around the knee and ankle joint on left side and over right hand since 2 years. I used oils and ointments but there is no relief. Pain is gradual in onset. What is the diagnosis and treatment.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

It may be meniscus injury. Take rest for few days. Apply ice pack 5 times daily for 10 minutes every time. You will need some medicines. Consult orthopaedic surgeon.

Mr. Lybrate-user, please avoid pain movement. Initially give some time to body just for heeling take hot thermal effect and rest and make muscles relax. Don't go for forward bending if required then only with knee movement to avoid over stress on the spine.

I am feeling tremendous pain in the backbone at the lower end in the morning before getting up from the bad. I also feel the pain in the both legs at the same time. . Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Lower back pain is a very common discomfort causing condition that occurs anywhere on the back below the ribs and above the legs. The pain is very common and it is faced by most individuals at least once during their lifetime.

The most basic measures to cure your lower back pain are exercising well, eating healthy and maintaining a good body posture at all times. Here are some of the common treatment options for reducing back pain.

Spinal Manipulation: It refers to an ancient form of therapy in which your back pain is treated externally. This form of treatment is quite similar to a massage treatment and helps to relax the muscles in the lower back area, thereby reducing the pain. It is usually done by osteopathic physicians, chiropractors, occupational therapists and physical therapists.

Neurostructural integration technique (NST): The main role of this type of treatment is to naturally reset the affected area of the body in order to allow it to regain its normal form. The results usually begin to appear after at least 2 sessions of the therapy and the effects are long lasting in nature.

Acupuncture: This is an old technique which uses small needles at strategic locations on your skin. The main aim of the acupuncturists is to re-balance the flow of energy in your body and to ensure that you have an optimal level of energy in all parts of your body. This in turn helps to regain the normal state of your lower back if the right points on the body are targeted.

Other measures: Some preventive measures which ensure that the lower back pain does not recur are as follows:

  1. Keep your spine straight and posture correct
  2. Avoid excessive bending, stretching or weight lifting

How long it will take to recover from a frozen shoulder after fracture healing and I am already taking physiotherapy.

It takes about 45 days for 90% recovery. And the rest 10% is the strengthening of shoulder muscles which doesn't require physiotherapy. You can do it by yourself by doing some light weight lifting exercises.

Hello, please send me your all investigation report to rule out whether it is ldp (lumber disc prolapsed) or anything else. This is may be due to overweight or deficiency of vitamin d3 and calcium or due to poor posture. Till then follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Chronic back pain may occur due to a variety of reasons. Sometimes, it may be due to conditions like osteoporosis or arthritis and at other times, it may be due to an injury or a slip disc caused by such an injury. Injuries to the spinal cord can also trigger chronic back pain. There are numerous ways of dealing with chronic back pain, which may be debilitating, if not treated properly.

  1. Medication: One of the ways of managing chronic back pain is with the help of anti-inflammatory drugs as well as pain killers like ibuprofen. However, do keep in mind that these medicines must be consumed only if they are prescribed by the doctor. Anticonvulsants and anti-depressants can also help in preventing pain that emanates from the nerves of the region.
