I Am a diabetes patient. My ECG report is normal. I also take Insulin. Now what can I do? Thanks doctor.
As your all reports are normal you just do maintain proper diet and do regular exercise. These two can reduce your medicinal dose even can reduce insulin taking.Do exercise like yoga, swimming, walking, push ups.You can use fenugreek seeds with 1/2 glass water on an empty stomach in the morning but you have to adjust your medication.Eat small amount of food more frequently.Take food 5-6 times instead of 3 big meals.Take lots of watery and whole fruits, vegetables.Use unrefined foods but not more.Take extra protein.Use healthy fats small amount.Avoid sugar, juice, fast foods, junk foods, processed foods. No underground vegetables, banana, pumpkin.Avoid smoking, alcohol.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Stay stress free and take proper rest. You can use nutritional supplements to control diabetes.

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance... if you keep in touch personally.

Diabetes affects all organs in the body ? Eyes, kidneys, nerves, reproductive system all are affected, In fact, from toe to hair. Usually if one is taking good food (balanced diet), there is hardly any need for supplements. But if you are feeling good with those may continue with. All these three vitamins are fat soluble and get stored in the body, hence taking excess is not advisable. Where as bcomplex group and vitamin c are water soluble supplementing them regularly is unlikely to cause any difficulty. So you might take vit a, d & e for a few days and stop and then take again if required.

Simple Yet Effective Lifestyle Changes to Help You Manage Diabetes!

Simple Yet Effective Lifestyle Changes to Help You Manage Diabetes!

Keeping the blood sugar at the recommended level can be a challenging task at times. While timely medication is a key prerequisite for controlling diabetes, lifestyle changes plays an important role in keeping the blood sugar under control.

Here is a list of simple yet effective ways of managing diabetes.

  1. Food
    • Portion size and carbohydrate count: Carbohydrates are the single most important food element that impacts the level of blood sugar in body. People taking insulin shots should ensure that the portion size of carbohydrates does not exceed the recommended level. Maintaining a diary to keep a check on the carbohydrate count can help in this case.
    • Balanced diet: For people suffering from diabetes, it is necessary to have a good mix of fruits, vegetables, fat, starch and protein in each meal. Carbohydrates should be consumed in the form of fruits and whole grains. A doctor advice in this matter can be of great help.
    • Avoid sweetened beverages: Sweetened beverages with high sucrose and fructose content have high-calorie content that can directly impact the blood-sugar level. Refraining from these sweetened drinks is a must for diabetes patients.
  2. Exercise
    • Make an exercise plan: Exercising for half hour on a daily basis is highly beneficial for diabetes patients. It makes sense to consult a doctor about the type of exercise that can be done regularly. The right mix of aerobic, cardio and muscle exercise should do the trick.
    • Stay hydrated: Staying hydrated is very important during exercise. Dehydration can bring down the blood-sugar level drastically.
    • Be prepared: Carrying a small dose of glucose or a snack can come in handy. In case the blood-sugar level drops to an alarming level while exercising, the glucose will ensure that it brings it back to normal quickly.
  3. Alcohol
    • Follow the doctor’s instruction: Alcohol is known to cause a lot of complications for diabetic patients. For people whose diabetes is under control, make sure that the doctor gives his go ahead for alcohol consumption.
    • Drink carefully: If you get a doctors nod to drink make sure that dry wines and light beer are consumed. These drinks tend to have lesser calories and carbohydrates. Their impact on the blood-sugar level, therefore, becomes minimal.
  4. Stress
    • Pattern: Stress greatly increases the blood-sugar level. While it is difficult to be stress-free, try to look for a pattern by checking the blood-sugar level after prolonged stress. This will help to identify a pattern which can then be addressed with methods such as yoga, hobby practicing, laughter therapy, etc.
    • Get help: Stress management is not an easy task. If stress cannot be controlled with a conventional approached, it makes sense to get professional help to reduce stress.

Mr. lybrate-user. Agar aap ka uric acid 5/2 mg/dl hai to accha hai. Usase taklif nahi honi chahiye. Aapane jo "Lenin Aso titre 400" karake likha hai usaka matalab muze nahi samaza. Uric acid kam karne keliys following food need to be avoided: Organ meat, red meat, certain fishes like herring, haddock, scallop, sardines, salmon, mussels and mushrooms. Eggs can be consumed, so also milk products with low fat. Alcohol and colas should be avoided. Uric acid bahoot logo me jyada rata hai, lekin sab ko usaki vajah se takalif nahi hoti. Agar joint panis hone lage to hi usaka ilaj karane ki jarurat hoti hai. Thanks.

Once diabetes is fully developed then drug treatment is absolutely essential. In prediabetes condition it can be controlled by diet and exercise. (pre - diabetes is fasting between 108 to 125 mg/100 ml & pp 141 to 199 mg/100ml. Once fasting crosses 126 mg and pp 200 and above, diabetes is confirmed, in this situation treatment is absolutely necessary. Drinking karela and neem juice has really no bearing on controlling blood sugar.

I am 27 years old I have a type 2 diabetes can you please tell me the weight loss please I am 80 kgs.

I am 27 years old I have a type 2 diabetes can you please tell me the weight loss please I am 80 kgs.
There is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Hi drink some bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach each morning. First remove the seeds of two to three bitter gourds and use a juicer to extract the juice. Add some water and then drink it. Follow this treatment daily in the morning for at least two months. Take pranacharya diabeto and shilajeet capsule twice a day with water. Take vasant kusumakar ras twice a day. Avoid sweets. Take small meals in less time interval. Do pranayama early morning. Avoid alcohol consumption.
