What is fatty liver?

What is fatty liver?

Fatty liver, or steatosis, is a term that describes the build-up of excess fat in the liver. While it's normal to have some fat in your liver for its regular functioning when fat makes up at least 5% of the liver its termed as fatty liver. Fatty liver can be a completely benign (Not harmful) condition and usually does not lead to liver damage. However, once there is a build-up of simple fat, the liver becomes vulnerable to further injury, which may result in inflammation and scarring of the liver.

Causes of fatty liver include:
Alcoholism- Most common cause
Obesity
hyperlipidemia, or high levels of fats in the blood
Diabetes
Genetic inheritance
Rapid weight loss
Side effect of certain medications, including aspirin, steroids, tamoxifen, and tetracycline.

Treatment:
There isn't a medication or surgery to treat fatty liver. Lifestyle modifications like-
Limiting or avoiding alcoholic beverages
Managing your cholesterol
Losing weight
Controlling your blood sugar
Avoiding high amount of fatty and sugary foods
Dietary modification-Increasing fiber like fruits and vegetables, Whole grain cereals, sprouts
Exercising- 45-60 minutes at least 4-5 days/week

My wife 42 pregnant with 5 week. Due to some spotting Dr. Advised us to avoid intetcroursein the first trimester. But we both cannot live without sex. We want to do normal sex, not deep in vagina but only on the upper part of vagina with condom so that no sperm reaches the face of cervix. Hello- sex, especially vaginal sex during the pregnancy results in contraction of the abdomen of the female and can cause miscarriage/premature delivery. So try not to to vaginal sex. However you can try oral or anal sex by taking positional precautions.

Exercise increases the flow of blood through different parts of the body, and it increases the body's excretion of harmful metabolites, helping your immune system function properly. First of all you should follow some basic thing 1. Avoid=hot and cold at time 2. Less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3. Do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4. Avoid late night sleep 5. Shir shuladi vajra ras vati 1 tab before lunch and dinner 2. Audumbaravleha 2 tsp before lunch and dinner.

Hello, you want a solution for constipation then take bio combination no. 04, 4 tablets at a time, three times a day, 15 min. after meals. Alpha LIV, 2 tsp daily after dinner. Avoid the following foods that can cause constipation include: Chocolate Dairy products Red meat Bananas and Caffeine Tips to Prevent Constipation Have more fibres in your diet. 25 to 30 grams of daily intake can prevent constipation. Fibres help retain water in the stools thus making them softer and easier to expel. Whole grain cereals and breads Dried fruits, such as prunes and raisins Popcorn, nuts, and seeds Beans and legumes Raw fruits and vegetables Drink plenty of fluids, preferably water. 8 glasses a day will help. Hi first we have to confirm beyond doubt the diagnosis of motor neuron disease by doing enmg test. If diagnosis is confirmed and there was no other cause found, then there is no definitive treatment which can improve or treat mnd. As he is already on riluzole, he needs to continue taking riluzole which may slow the disease progression marginally. Ivig is not found to be beneficial and at the moment there is no disease modifying treatment available for mnd,

What is the treatment for diabetes?
Hello I am Dr. Tanvi diabetes and thyroid (endocrinologist) specialist from mumbai. Treatment of diabetes depends on many factors. What is the duration of diabetes, type of diabetes, your age, your job profile, other factors like kidney and liver parameters. So treatment of diabetes changes from person to person. Negative Impacts of Lack of Sleep

Sleep is an activity where you do nothing, but rest. You relax your body and mind, you rest your bones and muscles, and you rest your eyes after a long day of physical exertion. It is extremely necessary for you to get ample amount of sleep to stay healthy. 

Sleep has two component: REM sleep and non-REM sleep. Both are required insufficient duration for proper effective sleep. Most effective and healthy sleep time is between 10PM - 3 AM. Going early to bed and rising early helps you maintain a healthy body and mind. Otherwise, there are various problems which you might have to face if you are lacking sleep.

Elevates the risk of stroke: According to study, people who get less sleep are more prone to having strokes than those who get enough sleep. If you sleep for less than 6 hours every day, you multiply the risk of having a stroke four times than ordinary.

Obesity: Lack of sleep can cause obesity. It usually forces you to take erratic food decisions, leading you to eat a lot of junk food. Less sleep administers certain hormonal changes which make you feel hungrier and believe that you haven't eaten enough food. The production of the hormone ghrelin, which controls your hunger, increases due to less sleep. Hence, it may lead to obesity if you keep eating without keeping a check on what you eat. 

Increases the risk of diabetes: Sleep and the production of insulin are inversely related to each other. Among teenagers, the less you sleep; the more insulin resistant your body becomes. This means the body is not able to use the insulin effectively. 

Increase the risk of hypertension: There is Blood pressure drop in deep sleep which is required for maintaining normal blood pressure. Patients who are hypertensive and not able to sleep properly will have more chances of having increased blood pressure despite taking medicines. 

Results in Poor Memory: Less sleep causes tiredness. When you are extremely tired, you are not able to focus on anything going on around you, you cannot concentrate on your work, and you get forgetful. In fact, consistent lack of sleep can even cause permanent loss of memory. This is because you are not being able to fully utilize the memory boosting ability of sleep. This eventually causes brain deterioration which results in permanent memory loss. 

Affects your Heart: Lack of sleep can have an extremely negative impact on your heart. Less sleep also causes stress and strain to your body and mind. It results in an increased production of certain chemicals and hormones in the body which is harmful for your heart. According to a study in 2011, people who sleep less than 6 hours every day increase the risk of having heart problems by almost 48%. It is not very healthy to sleep less as it can complicate your daily life activities. Hi, Penis size is something about which most of the men are obsessed because they don’ t have proper knowledge about the size of their organs. It is important to know that size of penis doesn’t matters unless it is too small to perform sexual intercourse. Sperm count/ volume, penis size (if it does not hinder sexual intercourse), scrotum size, duration of ejaculation has nothing to do with sexual life and stamina. Heart-healthy behavior is penis-healthy behavior. You should quit smoking, eat more low-cholesterol foods, and get plenty of regular cardio exercise—particularly squats, hip thrusts, and leg lifts—to send blood rushing to the pelvic and gluteal area. In case if it is really small to perform intercourse, PLEASE do not waste your time and money with quacks/ new paper adds/ various miracle pills. Consult some doctor preferably urologist/ endocrinologist to seek help. Because till the time actual problem is not identified as the cause of small penis, treatment is not possible. Therefore, you are advised to visit a doctor for proper check to determine the cause of small size, that will help you in treatment.
