Hello, itching on tooth could be because of wearing of enamel due to teeth biting. You need to visit a dentist and get it checked. Ask for a night guard. You need to relax. You can do hot fomentation near your ear. Take a warm water bath before you go to sleep. You can also listen to music while sleeping. This will calm you down.

I want to know that after rootcanal my teeth were broken & filling come out. Can i refill it again?

BDS, MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Mumbai
It depends on degree of tooth breakage and from which level it has broken. Many times a post and core (pin in root canal) can restore the tooth followed by a cap on the tooth.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

My mouth is all red inside and dry since almost a week. Don't have any issue with stomach, generally I think this happen due to stomach issues etc but mine is perfectly fine. Only issue is minor fungal near private parts and very dry (red inside) mouth. If you can kindly let me know any medication for that.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. Drink plenty of water. For dry mouth, consider chewing sugar-free gum or sucking on sugar-free candies to help stimulate salivary flow. There also are artificial saliva’s on the market that may help to induce salivation. Sialogogues (Pilocarpine 30 mg/day. Contraindications - include many lung conditions, such as asthma, cardiac problems, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease). Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Bad breath is due to accumulation of plaque on teeth, decay teeth, dry mouth, smoking, tobacco chewing, consumption of caffeinated or aerated beverages, oilly n spicy food, sore throat, bad digestion. Go for scaling and polishing of teeth. Use mouthwash twice daily after brushing. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Increase your water intake. for your broken teeth, get it x-rayed to determine the proximity of breakage line to the nerve endings n the amount of tooth structure left. depending on this you might require rct n cap or complete removal of tooth.

Sir, I have a bad teeth. It hurts me a lot I feel to remove it. Wt should I do now?

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Sir,
I have a bad teeth. It hurts me a lot I feel to remove it. Wt should I do now?
Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

Hello Do salt water rinses as home remedy, but this will give you temporary relief from pain. You need to visit a dentist and get an x-ray done. Then decide whether to remove or not.

It seems infection spread into deeper part. There are chances that you need to go for root canal treatment of that tooth.

Dear lybrate-user, If it is a confirm diagnosis that you have pyorrhea, then the dentist may have suggested you to go for a cleaning of the teeth which would remove tartar buildup, also further further x-rays would be required to evaluate the extent of the disease and further minor gum surgery may also be required. Brush twice daily. Use Mouthwashes.

It means you have a deep cavity. Kindly get it checked by dentist and get an xray done to understand the depth of cavity. You might need a root canal treatment.
