Your daughter is suffering from obesity. Consult endocrinologist to rule out endocrine disorders. Restrict fluid intake atleast two hours before sleep. Medical treatment is required.

If the nipple does not latch on to the baby's mouth the nipple may be retracted and sipple shield can be kept and feed the baby. Milk will form in due course and lactare capsules help increase milk.

Teaching your child proper oral care at a young age is an investment in his or her health that will pay lifelong dividends. You can start by setting an example; taking good care of your own teeth sends a message that oral health is something to be valued. And anything that makes taking care of teeth fun, like brushing along with your child or letting them choose their own toothbrush, encourages proper oral care.

To help your children protect their teeth and gums and greatly reduce their risk of getting cavities, teach them to follow these simple steps:

1. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove plaque-the sticky film on teeth that's the main cause of tooth decay.

2. Floss daily to remove plaque from between your teeth and under the gumline, before it can harden into tartar. Once tartar has formed, it can only be removed by a professional cleaning.

3. Eat a well-balanced diet that limits starchy or sugary foods, which produce plaque acids that cause tooth decay. When you do eat these foods, try to eat them with your meal instead of as a snack-the extra saliva produced during a meal helps rinse food from the mouth.

4. Use dental products that contain fluoride, including toothpaste. Make sure that your children's drinking water is fluoridated. If your water supply; municipal, well or bottled does not contain fluoride, your dentist or pediatrician may prescribe daily fluoride supplements. Take your child to the dentist for regular checkups.

Breast feeding should be demand feeding even at 6 months of age. In between introduce in small amount home made mashed cereals fruit and vegetable like dal dalia khichri suji ka halwa. The supplemary feeding should be gradually increased in quantity and frequency. CERELAC IS NOT INDISPENSABLE. Feeding a baby requires lot of patience and should be a enjoyable experience. Best wishes

My five years old son went for urination. I noticed ants on toilet seat .does this indicate to have diabetes symbol or is it can just a coincidence. We have no history of diabetes.

If he is healthy and acitve then there is no reason to worry. Yet, you can take him for annual health check up with the pediatrician and let him follow a healthy lifestyle.

My baby age 3.5 years but she didn't speak clearly to us or any person. Please help me.

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
At this age parents should be able to understand everything that their child says and strangers should understand about 75% but if it is difficult to understand child speech even by parents. Then its better to consult a speech therapist for the same.

U can use but see it should be alcohol free and sucrose free. Before that try 1. Do regular massage of your baby with coconut/ olive oil. No baby oil 2. Wrap your baby properly in blanket/ other cloth 3. Apply pressure on tummy- put baby face down in lap and pat back.
