I am suffering from right knee pain since 3 months ago. In my MRI the result is. Radial tear is seen in anterior horn of lateral meniscus. I consult 2 or 3 doctors and one of them consider me surgery. Is surgery is necessary. But now pain is 80% gone but I face problem in downstairs n upstairs. I am not facing any problem in normal walking. So please tell me how much time does it take to heal properly. And I am a smoker also.

I m of the opinion that you should get treatment of'janudhara' in which herbal oils warmed and poured constantly over knees through a directed procedure for about two to four weeks, is capable of averting surgery in many cases.

You should follow these very important and simple things to prevent stone formation & to get sure treatment of kidney stones: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones.

Mr. lybrate-user, At 77 years, it is difficult correct osteopenia. He can be put on Vitamin D 3 and Calcium supplements, plus some regular exercise. Brisk walking is an ideal one. I am 21 years boy, I am very emotional man. Hi, its normal at your age to act impulsive, to take clues and conclude its love, to get sad (not depressed) when proposal is rejected. The point im trying to make is you are at this age where a lot of people will enter your life and leave your life, only people who value your real worth will stay. So, its useless to go back off people craving attention. There is no quick response in love. On what parameters you base your love, im not aware of but yes, good things take time. Instead of jumping into love, sit back, reason, analyze and let love embrace you. Do not think in that direction in every relationship let love take its course. Focus on studying right and building your career. Love will come and happen to you at right time. You don't have to be obsessed with idea of love because everyone around is in love. You are a kind person and that is why it is important to form meaningful relationships otherwise if they are superficial and when they break you will be the one to get hurt the most.

Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. Statistics show that lifestyle disorders such as diabetes are on the rise, and one of the primary reasons for this is the radical diet change that has happened in the past score. The current diet trends are focused on carbohydrates and unhealthy fats. Fast food has attained prominence because of time constraints; people are now busier and thus prefer food on the go. Maximum of such ‘on the go’ alternatives are packed with unhealthy sugars.

So if you are looking to lose fat, diet is the point where you would want to start. Here is a DIY guide to make that fat disappear:

  1. Eliminate Hidden Sugars: First of all, avoid buying processed food and you won’t require this step. But for some of you, who don’t always have access to home cooked food – there is still hope. If you are buying packaged foods, then read the label very carefully. Avoid foods whose sugar content is more than 5 grams.

  2. Include Complex Carbohydrates: Foods that contain complex carbohydrates are better than foods that contain simple carbohydrates. The reason being that complex carbohydrates are absorbed slowly into the bloodstream, without spiking the blood sugar levels. A piece of advice over here would be to watch the portions.

  3. Eat Fat: Contrary to popular belief, eating fat does not make you fat. Fat is required in the body for many of its functions. The aim is to control the potion size as fat contains higher amount of calories. Fat makes you fuller so that you eat less. Include foods such as almonds and walnuts as they are healthy snacks.

  4. Restrict Fruit Intake: Fruits are good for you as they are a good source of various Vitamins and antioxidants. However, one of the downsides of fruits is that they contain fructose, which is the fruit sugar. Pick fruits that are low on sugar such as watermelon, guava and pear.

  5. Pick healthy when you go out: If you must eat outside, then select dishes low on the carb count. Go for salads without the fat filled dressings; you could ask for a sprinkle of olive oil and some spices. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

My mind remain awake much more than required. It keeps on working during night as if I am watching a video. Though my body is in sleep mode but my mind is continuously watching and answering someone as if someone is asking me to answer. What kind of state of mind is this. The best way to get rid of it to divert your mind to some constructive practical things rather than been only spiritual. Worshipping god is a good thing, but totally in it will develop such things in your mind. If whole day you work very hard and keep yourself busy, then you will sleep tight at night as your body will get tired. Try this and see if it helps.

You must do several things correctly to gain weight. A healthy diet: this is the foundation of gaining weight. If you don't do this right, the other things you do won't be effective and could even be harmful. Follow the following tips:- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal. · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake : Increase your protein intake e.g. milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts ( soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad. · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

A problem pertaining to the storage function of the bladder that results in bouts of sudden, often uncontrollable urge to urinate is referred to as an overactive bladder. This condition which is marked by unconditioned or involuntary loss of urine can sometimes be quite difficult to stop. People who experience such a condition often feel humiliated and as such tend to limit their social and work life. Despite such, only a few are conscious that a brief evaluation can help them manage and overcome an overactive bladder.

Mechanism of Urination

During urination, the urine proceeds from the bladder and flows into the urethra which is located at the tip of the penis in men and above the vagina in women. As the bladder fills, the nerve signals in the brain prompts urination by coordinating the relaxation and contraction of the urinary sphincter muscles.

Causes and Symptoms of an Overactive Bladder

Primarily caused due to involuntary contraction and relaxation of sphincter muscles, several conditions can lead to overactive bladder. 

Some of them are: 
1. Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's and other neurological disorders
2. Poor kidney function due to diabetes
3. Medications that lead to increased production of urine
4. Bladder abnormalities like tumors or stones
5. Constipation
6. Excessive consumption of caffeine or alcohol

Some of the common signs of an overactive bladder are:
1. Bouts of sudden, uncontrollable urge to urinate
2. Awakening at night frequently to urinate
3. Urinating more than eight times a day

Risks
The risk of an overactive bladder gradually increases with age. Conditions, such as diabetes and an enlarged prostate results in the increased likelihood of an overactive bladder. People who have previously faced strokes and heart attacks experience cognitive decline, which often times lead to the development of an overactive bladder.

Urinary incontinence as well as a host of associated factors can be detrimental to your life. Emotional distress, interrupted sleep cycles and depression are some of the observed complications of this condition.

Thus if you experience or entertain suspicion of an overactive bladder, you should consider visiting a general physician who might refer you to a specialist, if need be.

Mix clarified butter and sugar in equal proportion (around 1 tbsp of each). Eat this mix at least 30 minutes before your meal on an empty stomach. Consume it for one month. You will definitely see dramatic results.

DEAR Lybrate USER. A) Take 10-10ml of fresh lemon juice and honey before meal. B) take 2-2 tablets of sutshekhar rasa and aarogyawardhini rasa after meals…. C) eat 10 gm of black cumin seeds along with 10 gm of jaggery after meals D) take 30 ml of aloe vera juice and 30 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result. Consult to me for further suggestions. THANKS….

Apply maha bhringraj oil on your scalp and massage then give hot water fomentation. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Take lots of proteins like soyabean. Egg white. Etc. Avoid tea. Coffee. Spicy food. Fermented food. Junk food. Apply only ayurvedic shampoo on your scalp. Do pranayama early morning.
