Fix These 3 Common Posture Blunders that can Permanently Damage Your Body
Improve Your Posture Before it’s too Late

A good posture makes you stand tall. The right body posture is crucial for a healthy and strong, disease-free body. A correct body posture can help to alleviate all kinds of problems that might arise due to the practice of wrong posture such as chronic neck pain, back pain, and headache among others. Here’s how to avoid some of the common posture blunders:

1. Hunchback

You may know that sitting for long hours is bad for your health, but sitting hunched over the computer screen is especially harmful for your spine. When you’re in this posture, the chest muscles of your body tighten causing the top of the spinal column to form a C-shape. This can lead to pain in the back, shoulder and neck. To prevent your spine from curving in this manner, you can do the bhujangasana pose to strengthen your back.

2. Forward head

Likewise, sitting in a stooped manner in front of the computer can cause the problem of forward head and associated neck pain. Performing head nods on a daily basis can provide respite from the ache. For this, move your head towards the neck until your chin touches your neck. Hold on to this position for 5 seconds before going back to your original position. Repeat as needed.

3. Rounded shoulders

Intense training of the chest muscles or typing while not sitting straight can cause your shoulders to swivel forward, leading to rounded shoulders. This can prevent your arms from working at their full capacity while running or hamper your breathing ability while performing strenuous activities. One of the ways that you can fix this postural blunder is by doing some stretching exercises to relax your chest muscles.This workout can be easily done anywhere, as all you need is a doorway. Position your arms against one side of the doorway with your elbows bent at 90 degrees. Then, stretch your chest and shoulder muscles by placing your foot through the doorway. Hold the posture for about 30 seconds Whether your postural problem is mild or severe, it can affect your overall health and performance.

Wrong posture can cause you to experience skeletal system disorders such as kyphosis (outward curving of the spine) or lordosis (inward curving of the spine). If not corrected in time, the wrong body posture can also impact your self-confidence.

She is having pain in the left iliac bone region more specifically at iliac crest on the back side, dull aching type pain duration varies sometimes for a half an hour to hour and for a full day, it's not appendicitis, if it is kidney stones then why do you think so? Having complaint from 4 -5 months. This is type of pain can occur due to poor posture during sleeping? Please explain in detail.

Common causes of back pain are bad posture, injury to back during certain activities and lack of exercise. You should try some physiotherapy and learn about proper posture. Control weight and do some back strengthening exercises. If pain persists then you need to visit a spine surgeon for complete clinical evaluation.

Aman deep lybrate-user Since there is no fever ,take things easy .you are probably having indigestion causing gastritis and acidity and white coating on tongue .the underlying factor can be viral infection .since you are having body ache and pain in legs .take tab crocin tab after meals .drink plenty of water and soft diet .take rest and if need see your physician for check up please.

Hello lybrate-user, there is no need of collar. You need exercise of 4-5 mins only a day. Neck movement exercising and start using these medicines for 7 days and do reports us back. 1. Rhus tox 200, twice a day. 2. Belladonna 200, twice a day.

Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.

Hello, you may be having headache because of stress/ refractory problems/ any ENT problem or may be Migraine Headache kindly follow advises given below: you can take(If No drug allergy) : 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) 2. Adequate sleep 6-8 hr in a day 3. Get check eyes for refractive error 4. We need to go for ENT evaluation to rule out sinusitis 5. Get BP checked 6. Regular physical exercise and meditation and yoga complete history of your headache for further management like duration, severity, aggravating factors/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis consult physician for further management.

IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consult doctor on time.

She does not need exercise and low calorie food. But proper hormonal assessment and based on the results, a proper food plan. Weight lifting in presence of back oain can be dangerous.

Hii this kind of pain and numbness could be due to carpal tunnel syndrome in which a nerve called median nerve is compressed under a sheath in the wrist. This usually occurs more at night and certain position of wrist. You should get done certain tests to know the cause. Like Nerve conduction studies. Sugar levels, thyroid profile, rheumatoid factor. Yes there are treatments. Medications for milder cases, wrist splint and physiotherapy. Cold compresses etc. For moderate cases steroid injections in the wrist. Severe cases may need surgery.

Oil massage over whole body keep up warm in sun for 1/2 hour then bathe with warm water every day for 15days. Avoid oily or junk food and dahi and sour products e. G. Pickles etc and nonveg. Use light diets and soups of carrots and beetroot with ginger and haldi including ghee and fried with cumin seeds and garlic. Follow regular routines of getting all dietary measures and daily behaviours as well as exercise and yoga and morning walk every transcendental meditation every day two times daily.

Dear you can follow these methods for relief from backache (back pain): * first correct your sitting posture. Do not bend your lower back. You can use lumber belt for support. * do regular back strength exercises. Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * do not sleep on very soft bed, sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * do tadasana and bhjangasana for back strengthening. If you can not understand these asans you can consult me. * take calcium rich diet and calcium and vitamin d supplements regularly. *do not take any heavy weight or heavy work. * if you are over weight then follow a good and effective diet plan to loose some kilos of weight. You can consult me to get a diet chart. * you can take guggalu tablets of himalaya for fast relief.
