You maybe suffering from allergic rhinitis and pharyngitis. You need to avoid the cause of your allergies and also take anti allergy medications. Please consult for prescription. If you have an infection and have fever you will need to do a course of antibiotics. For now do warm saline gargle and steam inhalation 3 times a day.

You may be suffering from chronic rhinosinusitis as your condition is 4-5 years old, it will be better to get a nasal examination done by a ent specialist with nasal endoscopy to look for any sinus blockage and he may also get a sinus imaging done with ct if required, you can start tab smarti-m once a day, syrup mucolite 5ml twice a day and steam inhalation twice a day for 5 days.

Experiencing Dizziness? It Could Be A Sign Of Acoustic Neuroma

MBBS, MS-ENT, DNB (ENT) -, DOHNS(LONDON) -
ENT Specialist, Gurgaon
Experiencing Dizziness? It Could Be A Sign Of Acoustic Neuroma

Acoustic neuromas are tumors that develop on the nerves connecting the ear to the brain. Being non-cancerous in nature, they do not spread to other parts of the body. However, they are characterized by symptoms such as gradual or sudden hearing loss, more pronounced with either of the ears, a ringing sensation in the affected ear, weakness, facial numbness and dizziness.

Causes:

Acoustic neuroma can be of two types: one is sporadic in nature and the other is associated with a condition known as neurofibromatosis type II (NF2). NF2 is basically an inherited disorder identified by benign growth in the nervous system. NF2 being a rare disorder, makes the sporadic type the dominant one. Although the causes behind this type of neuroma are still unknown, long term exposure to radiations, especially around the neck and the head, could be one of the most important triggering factors.

Treatments:

Once the diagnosis is done, treatments for acoustic neuroma depend on the growth and size of the tumor.

  1. Diagnosis with the help of monitoring: Small tumors exhibiting no such symptom or slow signs of growth need to be monitored with the use of hearing tests and regular imaging. In case, the MRI scans are able to trace any sort of development on the part of the tumor or if the tumor poses subsequent difficulties, opting for treatment becomes the need of the hour.

  2. Stereotactic Radiosurgery: Also known as Gamma Knife, radiosurgery is a treatment method wherein controlled radiations are used to treat tumors, thus doing away with the need of making any incision.

  3. Surgical Removal: Surgery performed under general anesthesia is directed towards removing the tumor; that helps to preserve the facial nerve and thus inhibit facial paralysis and hearing loss. The tumor is usually removed either through the ear or through the skull. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Hi, Your physician has given you the right medicine, i.e. For acidity. It seems to be because of that only. Stomach acids are necessary for the digestion of food. However, if too much acid develops in the stomach, it can cause acid reflux (heartburn) or a disease called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Obesity, pregnancy, and other medical conditions can also lead to increased stomach acid. Management: - Avoid fried, fatty, spicy food, chocolates, tomatoes and citrus fruits. - Eat smaller, more frequent meals. - Give your digestive system an assist from gravity by not eating too close to bedtime. Wait at least 3 hours after eating before you lie down. - Lose excess weight. - Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages. - Stop smoking. Smoking interferes with digestion and can damage the lining of the esophagus. - Wear loose fitting clothes. Tight waistbands compress the internal organs and may block digestion. - Raise the head of your bed 4 or 5 inches higher than the foot. - Get enough sleep. Try sleeping on your left side. - Avoid stretching or bending after meals. - Chewing your food thoroughly makes it easier to swallow and digest, thus reducing or preventing symptoms of heartburn. - Drink plenty of water. Water has a neutral pH, which can help neutralize stomach acids and help your body absorb nutrients easily. Medication: Take Homoeopathic medicine – Natrum Phos. 6X/ thrice daily 1/2 an hour after the meals. Revert.

Your feelings of laziness and hunger could possibly be linked to depression, or more rarely another mental health issue such as attention deficit disorder. It may be worth seeking professional help. Always remember 3 D’s: Discipline, Determination & Dedication. And yoga of course! Please engage yourself in some productive work, productive here doesn't mean earning money, but on the other hand you can do social service, help others, learn new activity, learn new sport, etc, set realistic helpful achievable small goals in life, have a drive, purpose, and reason to live, know your instinct and lead your life for a better purpose and be an inspiration to others, rather than setting a bad example of yourself to all. Good life!

Sir I am suffering from cough. More bulgum feel at my throat. I am suffer since last week. I can't sleep due to cough.

Sir I am suffering from cough. More bulgum feel at my throat. I am suffer since last week. I can't sleep due to cough.
The mucous that you are having is because of the excessive production of it from the nose which drips from the back of the throat (it is called post nasal drip) & this is the main cause of the cough. Taking a mucolytic will make the mucous thinner & then can be removed more easily through coughing.
