Dear Lybrate user For sciatica, -proper bed rest Hot Fomentation use L-S belt while walking (to eliminate pain & maintain posture) Avoid forward bending Avoid heavy weight lifting Postural care in sitting, walking,& lying position, also while watching tv or working on laptops. After few days, when your pain will get relieved you have to start some back care exercises.

1. Take one tablet of crocin pain relief as and when required after food up to a maximum of 3 tablets daily, 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take adequate rest 4. Avoid stress and anxiety.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Start taking frequent breaks from PC AND do regular exercise. That exercise should include every joint of body including your back. This episode of exercise should last not more than 5 minutes. Do thrice daily. Stiffness is the main cause of your pain.

It seems to be Compartment syndrome. Do you start suddenly? Have you tried gradual increase in workout? My advice would be to improve your stamina gradually with just 10% increase every week in workout. Do you have any coach? for example, If you can run 1km without any problem, then start with 1km for one week, then next week add 100 meters.... If you have already done this, then visit a sports injury specialist doctor.

Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

It's common to have some back pain after giving birth. It usually resolves within a few months, though some women will continue to have pain for much longer Exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles and increase flexibility may be helpful too. Sit up straight, Always bend from your knees and lift objects and children from a crouching position to minimize the stress on your back. Also, many new moms inadvertently make their back problems worse by not being conscious of good posture while feeding their baby. For example, when you're learning how to breastfeed you may be so focused on getting your baby to latch on correctly that you end up sitting hunched over, straining your neck and upper back muscles as you look down.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi let me know how thick is your pillow? and what is your sleeping posture? so that I can give suggestion for same. Meanwhile you can take hot water fomentation for 20 min. At every 3 hrs.
