I have back pain pain since few weeks. Most it pains at sleeping. What is the root cause of pain.
Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Hello there, pain in knee can be due to numerous reasons and the precise one has to be found out. For this a physiotherapist can help you by a thorough assessment. And based on the diagnosis he can prescribe you right exercises to treat the structure causing pain. My clinical experience says, no medicines work 100% effectively for any joint related pain, because it just suppress the pain signals conveyed to the brain untill its in circulation, they do not treat the cause hence you get the pain back once the medicine is out of blood circulation. The better option is specific and right exercises, yes they will take time, but they will heal your cause of the problem, so better and long lasting relief from pain in a natural way. So, in my opinion please visit a physiotherapist before wasting time. Hope you get well soon, take care.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference? kindly discuss problems of two patients separately.

There are three major possible explanations for morning back pain. 1.Inflammatory back pain: worrisome, relatively rare, and well known. 2.Myofascial pain syndrome: probably very common, but more mysterious and controversial. 3.Sleeping postures: although the most “obvious” reason for waking up with a kink in your back, it might be worse than you expect. So, sleep in proper position. Do proper exercise, take proper diet rich with calcium and multivitamins. Maintain proper posture.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation. Shoulder advice. Regular stretching of shoulder muscles. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation.

I am suffering from bachache from last one day what I must do to resolve my problem.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Backache of 1 day duration can be due to just muscle strain. If you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia etc - no associated symptoms like fever, swelling etc, my advice is: - take rest for 3-5 days - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know in 2 weeks time how you are feeling and then we can suggest you some exercises for lower back muscle strengthening. I have pain in my leg from last two months, what I have to do to get relief from this?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
