Hye, Wajan kam hona poshtikta ki kami ka asar hota hai.  Aap theek see waqt waqt pe khaye.  Ek waqt pe poshtik khana khaye. Thoda Thoda samay samay pe khana le. Din mein 6 se 7 baar acche se pet bhar khaye.  Bahar ki khane ki cheze kam le. Inse sirf charbi badhegi maas nahi.  Khane mein fal sabji ghee dal dahi roti chawal doodh shengdaana khajoor lassi batata le. Chai coffee soda kam le, isse poshtikta nahi milti balke pet jaldi bhar jaata hai.  Sahi samay pe Sahi matra mein khaoge tho wajan acche se  badhega. Wyayam hafte mein 3 din zaroor kare. Wyaayam se maas aur wajan badhega aur bhook bhi lagegi. Sirf 2 ya 3 baar khane se kamjori hogi.  Meetha khaana ho tho ghar pe banaaya kheer sheera lassi basundi le. Sirf dawa ya protein powder ya tonic lene se wajan nahi badhega. Uske liye acche se khaana aur Wyaayam bahut zaroori hai. Nahi tho powder ka bhi asar nahi hota. Apne aap ko waqt de, wajan badhne mein waqt lag sakta hai.

Watching TV And Using Laptop - How It Impacts Your Health?

We've probably heard about it, read it and even watched it a few times - devices like TV and laptop take a toll on our health. But are the studies backed with statistics applicable to us? What duration crosses the limit between acceptable and dangerous. Given that both these devices are entwined in our lives not only to entertain, but also make our lives easy, how much can you really avoid them? The reality is that you can't. So here is a quick look at what impacts you the most and how you can manage it best.

1. Increased eye irritability: We are quite used to multi-screen viewing these days. We work on our laptops or iPads while we watch TV at home. While this may seem like a skilled process in multi-brain functionality, but it is subjecting our eyes continuously to artificial light, making us blink less often. Often extending to over 12 hours a day, a mix or laptop and TV viewing can cause dry eyes, irritability, and reduced vision problems.

2. Increased obesity: Having access to everything from groceries to jewelry online makes it unnecessary to move out of the house on a Sunday. This is a boon and a bane in its own right. Easy access means spending lesser time standing in supermarket queues but more time in front of the TV. This can lead to lethargy and obesity. This risk is very real in children and we are battling with an entire generation on the brink of obesity and related problems. Did you know that childhood obesity risk increases by 60% when kids watch one hour of TV! Don't even try the math for a year's worth of television!

3. Increased affinity for junk food: TV has more side effects than you think. It automatically makes us reach out for the most harmful foods that taste great but hardly have any nutritional value. From chips to pizzas to burgers to quick fix noodles some with extra cheese others with a copious quantity of salts slowly add harmful toxins to the body. The worst part is that we are so lost in our work or TV that we don't realize the quantity we are chewing down.

4. It affects your sleep cycle: Having these handy late in the night also confuses our body with artificial light, throwing our sleep cycle off balance.

5. The one-off cases are real for some people: We often hear horror stories about some 12 years old whose thighs burned up because of excessive laptop use. There are other stories about a man who came home after a workout and accidently touched his laptop's power cord to be electrocuted. There are other stories linking these gadgets to cancer risks. These stories may be played up by the media for viral effect but the fact remains that you never know when you can be that 'somebody'. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a general physician.

What about your father about diabetes. Diabetes one way has a tendency of running in families among many other causes. We as indians probably by genes have the tendency - the remedy is not in our hands. But most commonly the common form of diabetes ie. Type 2 occurs more commonly due to what is known as insulin resistance this is based on sedentery life style, lack of exercise, junk food, over eating of sweets, obesity and stress. Hence you must know what is healthy life style and adopt it on daily basis. - about diet, exercise, rest relaxation etc. You must check your blood fasting and 1 and 1/2 hours after meals once in 6 months or an year. By any chance your blood sugar level in morning after 8 hours of fasting previous night is between 100 - 125 mg% you may be in impaired fasting glucose. Pp sugar ie. 2 hours after 75 grams of glucose after 8 hours of overnight fasting is 140 mg% to 199mg%, you are in impaired glucose tolerance. Both are prediabetic states. When you have a chance to prevent diabetes or atleast postpone it. For which you have to have ideal body weight, at least 30 minutes of exercise and proper diet control ie no uncontrolled free sugars, junk food, heavy intake oils etc. More of leafy vegetables regular annual check up of hba1c should remain at 6.5. Any parameter going up heralds actual diabetes.

Change food habites. Avoid too oily end ghee prepretions, carbohydrates rich proteins, eggs, nonveg, over eating. Take simpal veg food home madewith vegitabales salad. Do arobic excersices yoga, fast walking in morning end after dinner walk slowly 1 to 2 km. Daily.

No need to get teeth replaced. Visit nearby dentist. If cavities are not deep then the problem can be solved with just filling of cavities with tooth colored composite materials in both adjacent teeth mostly.

There is a tradition in a lot of families to clean ears regularly with ear buds or q tips and those who don't do it are many times considered unhygienic. But it may risk hearing ability. Inside ear is a very delicate structure and is likely to be damaged easily even with trivial trauma.

 

First, we must understand that wax has a useful role to play in the ear, it lubricates protects and renders antiseptic property. Ears without wax feel dry and itchy. Wax is self-cleaned from our ear canal propagated by movements of the jaw. So most of the times there is never any need to clean wax from inside the ears. The only external surface of the ear should be cleaned with a cloth.

 

Many times attempts to clean ears with ear buds results in injury to the delicate skin of ear canal and even worse it may injure the eardrum or if there is a wax chunk it may push deep into the eardrums.

 

Earwax needs to cleaned only when it obstructs the sound pathway to ear drum. When there is a feeling of fullness or blockage or plugged, there is a partial hearing loss there is ringing in the ears or tinnitus or noise in the ear or there is itching or odour in the ear.

 

Many times home remedies are useful to remove ear wax like instilling drops of mineral oil glycerine or commercially available drops. If not successful then it should be removed by ent surgeon. Ent surgeon may wash earwax out with warm water or saline. Sometimes ent surgeon may remove wax by suction or microinstruments under a microscope. There is no proven remedy for frequent wax impaction but it is very important to avoid inserting any object inside the ear to clean wax. Those who get frequent wax impaction or using hearing aids may need to see ent surgeon every 6 to 12 months to clean wax regularly.

Hye. Junk food or empty calories is a pejorative term for food containing high levels of calories from sugar or fat with little protein, vitamins orminerals. Use of the term implies that a particular food has little" nutritional value" and contains excessive fat, sugar, salt, and calories. Junk food can also refer to high protein food containing large amounts of meat prepared with, for example, too much unhealthy saturated fat;[citation needed]many hamburger outlets, fried chicken outlets and the like supply food is considered as junk food. Alcohol does not give you nutrients and gives you as much calories as fat does. Therefore, alcohol is an empty calorie food.

TSH 17.54 is high and is suggestive of hypothyroid and needs thyroid hormone supplimentation for whih you have to consult a Physician. Irragular periods and excess bleeding is most probably due to hypothyroid but to be on safer side take a gynae openion also to rule out any other associated problem.

Nope. This is normal in newborns. Some potty 20-22 times a day and some can do it once in 2-3 days. As pediatricians, we don't worry about baby's stool habit at this age but the urine output. If the baby is growing fine, active, taking feeds properly and urinating well which means that if you are using cotton nappies they need to be changed 8-10 times a day and if you are using diapers they need to be changed 6-8 times a day, if this is the case it means your baby is being adequately fed and there is nothing to worry. Please note that this is the scenario with the baby being breast fed. If your baby is on formula then please ensure your are using sterilized utensils to feed your baby.

Osteoporosis is a commonly experienced condition where the bones tend to get thin and become hollow over time. This is a condition that is experienced mostly by people who are over the age of 50 years, and even more commonly by women who have been through menopause. Other risk factors include smoking as well as medication which can lead to such degenerative diseases as a side effect.

Let us find out about living with osteoporosis and the many myths and facts surrounding the same:

  1. A Natural Part of Aging: This is a fact. While not everyone who ages will wind up with this condition, it is commonly experienced by patients who are growing old. One can resort to taking calcium supplements as well as plenty of Vitamin D in order to prevent the risk of fractures that are a common occurrence in such a condition where the bones become too hollow. Also, mild and moderate exercise will help the condition.
  2. Only Female Patients: This is a myth. While it is true that women form a major risk group when it comes to this condition, there are many men who also suffer from it. It has been demonstrated by various medical studies that one in every five men in the USA alone are prone to this condition. Furthermore, due to exercise, sports and other heavy manual work, young men are more likely to end up with a fractured bone than an aging woman.
  3. Worry only when you are Old: This is also a myth. One must remember that the major bone mass forms by the time a person hits the age of 18 to 20 years. This is the time when nutrition, exercise and lifestyles must be structured in a way that such troubles like osteoporosis will not follow you into the later years when your bones begin to age. Ample and strong bone mass nourished by proper habits, will help in preventing such conditions to a large extent.
  4. Fractures only happen if you Fall: This is another myth. It is important to keep in mind that living with a condition like osteoporosis means that you have to be vigilant at all times in your daily routine and other activities. Strain on the bones can also lead to fractures, and one does not necessarily have to fall down to get one. Leaning over too much can also lead to a fracture!
  5. You can feel the Degeneration: It is another myth that you can actually feel your bones getting weaker. Usually, there are no symptoms of this condition until it has progressed to a particularly painful stage in your life. The best way to find out if you are suffering from osteoporosis is by taking a bone density test.

Try to start your day early in the morning. Write down the things that you want to do during the day, and follow that routine. Have healthy food and on time. Have plenty of water. You need some physical exercise, like walk, jog, run, cycling, gym, yoga. Choose whatever you like and do it. This will help you in releasing your stress and when the body is tired it will help you in having a good sleep. It appears that you are having lots of tension/stress. Please try to analyse the causes and contributing factors of your stress. Try to search for best options to reduce this stress. Share your emotional burden with family and friends whom you trust. If all this does not help then talk to a counsellor who will help you in understanding and managing stress which will result in you having peace of mind and getting required sleep. All the best.

1) take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice and ginger juice along with 1 tsf of jaggery along with 60 ml of water early in morning on empty stomach and after meals, 2) do regularly bhujangasana, uttanpadasana and pavanmuktasan regularly early in the morning on empty stomach for 15 minutes. Do this for 30 days it gives you good result thanks.

No home remedy is the alternative for the scaling and root planing. So better to visit the dentist and get proper scaling and root planing. Medicines. And warm saline rinses. I repeat go for scaling and root planing. Your gums will bleed too much during scaling but do not panic and much your gums bleed better results you get afterwards. Soon after scaling you will have healthy gums and no bleeding within a week. Use thermokind f tooth paste after scaling.

I am 27 got delivered 8months back had severe back pain and had migraine. Now i'm not able to do even household chores feeling sick. Is this common after delivery. What to do ?

Start with physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for spine. Use lumber spine belt also. Don't sit on floors. Don't lift heavy things. Take half kg milk per day. Take calcium and methylcobalamine supplement for three months minimum.
