Hello doctor
I am 26 years old (female) I am suffering arthritis arthritis last 3 years I have take the medicine but ...
I would suggest her to following home remedy Causes: • Body's tissues are attacked by their own immune system • Common in people over 40 years of age 1. Take 1 cup mustard oil 2. Add 10 g camphor 3. Heat the oil till the camphor dissolves completely 4. Massage lukewarm oil on the affected area This will help improve the blood circulation in the area and will reduce the inflammation and stiffness Surely you will get results.

Can be solved through acupressure/ acupuncture easily. Try this for 3 days. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Eat nutritious food including green vegetables, dairy products fruits do regular exercise. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Consult after 5 days.

Our bones are one of the most essential parts of our body. Without bones, we will not even be able to stand or sit properly. Due to various reasons, our bones receive damage as well. Bone fracture is one of the most common problems that people face. When any bone in our body breaks due to some accident, it is known as bone fracture.

Once you suffer from a bone fracture, it can be treated in different ways. But in serious cases, bone fracture surgery needs to be performed. So, if you are suffering from a bone fracture, read this article to know more about bone fracture surgeries and important details related to it.

Details About Bone Fracture

Bone fracture is a partial or severe break in any of your bones present in the body. Fractures can be caused due to various reasons and in most of the cases, it is because of any kind of accident. There are some basic symptoms of bone fracture like - abnormal swelling over an area, unable to walk in most of the cases and excruciating pain where the bone has broken.

Therefore, as you can understand that bone fracture is a very serious condition which can cause serious lifestyle changes in a person's life. Bone fractures are of different kinds and two of the most common types of bone fractures are - Complete and Compound.

In a complete fracture, the bone gets damaged in two or more than two parts of the body. In a compound fracture, the bone breaks and tries to penetrate the skin.

Diagnosis and Treatment Through Fracture Surgery

Whenever you suffer from a bone fracture, do not neglect it. Go straight to the doctor and undergo an X-ray which will provide the important details and images of your affected area. Now, depending on the type of injury you have received, the doctor will decide if a surgery will be performed or not. When a surgery is going to take place, different equipment like rods, plates and screws are used to support the bone.

The surgery takes place as per the doctor's recommendations and advice depending on the condition of the patient who is suffering from the fracture.

Eligibility For Bone Fracture Surgery

Everyone can undergo a bone fracture surgery if the condition is very serious and it is very important to undergo a surgery to recover. So, individuals of all age can undergo a bone fracture surgery if they are suffering from a compound or serious bone fracture. But keep one thing in mind - children recover from a bone fracture surgery much quicker than teenagers and old aged people.

So here is some important information which you should be knowing about bone fracture surgeries.

I am 54 years. I have right knee pain form last 5 years. Let me know that what will be the solution?

Fellowship in Shoulder and Knee Surgeries, DNB (Orthopedics), Diploma In Orthopaedics (D. Ortho), MBBS
Orthopedist, Nagpur
For knee pain, treatment depends upon diagnosis. If it's early osteoarthritis, then brace and exercises. If unicompartmental, depending upon pain, either exercises or surgery. Ukr or hto. For tricompartmental osteoarthritis, painful and minimum two tablets needed in a week then replacement is better.

Rheumatoid Arthritis - Ways It Can Be Treated!

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
Rheumatoid Arthritis - Ways It Can Be Treated!

Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune condition wherein the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the linings of the joint. This condition affects both sides of the body including the eyes, hands and legs. Unlike the depreciating damage of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis causes a distressful swelling that consequently leads to bone deformity and even erosion. As such, it is one of the more important characteristics of the condition which distinguishes it from other forms of arthritis. It often leads to debilitating disabilities.

Risk factors and complications
Factors such as obesity, smoking, age (affects mostly after the age of 40) and many environmental factors increase the risk of Rheumatoid arthritis. In severe cases, rheumatoid arthritis can lead to a plethora of other conditions such as:

  1. Dry mouth and eyes
  2. Osteoporosis
  3. Abnormal body composition

Treatment
Blood and imaging tests will first be carried out. Based on such diagnosis, you may be advised medications such as steroids or Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS). Now in case of severe pain, one would have to take to surgery. Varying surgeries work on different joints of the body and some of these include:

  1. Arthroplasty: This procedure replaces all or a part of the joint for instance, the knee or the hip.
  2. Arthroscopy: A procedure which helps pull out inflamed tissue or debris from the required joint with the help of light, small instruments.
  3. Cervical spinal fusion: Pressure on the median nerve is eased with this procedure.
  4. Hands and foot surgeries: These procedures help correct dysfunctional joints of the hands, fingers, legs and toes.
  5. Synovectomy: Synovectomy helps remove more intricate tissues which are inflamed or otherwise.

What to consider before you opt for one?
Although these various surgeries often restore almost-normal movements in the patient, they can only do so in two or possibly three joints. And of course, it goes without saying that you should consult with an orthopaedic surgeon) experienced in arthritis and joint surgeries before opting for such.
