Conventional treatment for Thyroid disease involves a lifelong medication or painful process. Although there are many alternative treatments, among all those treatments Thyroid treatment in Homeopathy is a good way to opt because it will have no side effects and also a painless procedure to control and get relief. While in homeopathy, we propose to treat the problem not by supplementing the deficiencies or surplus, but by reactivation of efficient Thyroid glandular function.

Lybrate-user, I understand that you are having pain in lower abdomen, lower back and probably cramps. I did not understand the word" dpo" certain short forms are unclear, better to write in full words. You are thyroxine 125 mcg a day. But you have not mentioned about current or latest tsh levels. Many a times if hypothyroidism is not under control (tsh between 3 to 4 mu/l), various symptoms can keep occurring. Apart from taking prescribed medicine you have to also exercise for 1 hour a day and follow dietary restrictions. It will be better if all the information is given, and you come in a private conversation, then I will be able to guide. Thanks.

1. Lose weight. 2. Cut the sugar. 3. Stock up on fiber. Instead of consuming sugar and other refined carbohydrates, focus on more fiber-rich foods, such as vegetables, fruits and whole grains. 5. Eat a moderately low-fat diet. 6. Watch the type of fat you eat. Cut back on saturated fats, which are found in red meat, poultry fat, butter, cheese, milk, and coconut and palm oils, and keep trans fats, found in shortening and stick margarine, to a minimum. Replace trans fats with healthier polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. 7. Add omega-3 fatty acids. 8. Exercise. 9. Limit alcohol. 10. Take triglyceride-lowering drugs.

I am 45 years old and diabetic. Kindly advice me on food habits to keep the diabetes under control by eating habits.

I am 45 years old and diabetic. Kindly advice me on food habits to keep the diabetes under control by eating habits.
Whole grains, oats, channa atta, millets and other high fiber foods should be included in the meals. If one feels like consuming pasta or noodles, it should always be accompanied with vegetable /sprouts. Milk is the right combination of carbohydrates and proteins and helps control blood sugar levels. Two servings of milk in a daily diet is a good option. High fiber vegetables such as peas, beans, broccoli and spinach /leafy vegetables should be included in one's diet. Also, pulses with husk and sprouts are a healthy option and should form a part of the diet. Pulses are important in the diet as their effect on blood glucose is less than that of most other carbohydrate containing foods. Vegetables rich in fiber help lowering down the blood sugar levels and thus are healthy. Good fats such as omega 3 and mufa should be consumed as they are good for the body. Natural sources for these are canola oil, flax seed oil, fatty fish and nuts. These are also low in cholesterol and are trans fat free. Fruits high in fiber such as papaya, apple, orange, pear and guava should be consumed. Mangoes, bananas, and grapes contain high sugar; therefore these fruits should be consumed lesser than the others.

As a nutritiion expert, I suggest some good nutritional food and supplements. Which helps to control and cure the diabetes. 1. Ask her to regularly walk during morning hours, if she can. 2. Try to avoid white rice and heavy carbohydrates. 3. Mole powder food, wheat will keep you active without adding any carbohydrates. 4. Drink more water in a day. 2 to 3 liters. 5. Add more fruits into your diet, fruits will give vitamins and minerals which keeps the body active for long hours. 6. Add protein sources like wheat, soya, egg whites. 7. Add fish into her diet. Twice a week.
