When I am talking to some bad smell is coming. Pls give some helpful tips. thanks.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too.

My gums have started bleeding suddenly from last three days and in some parts they are swollen what should I do?
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

You might have gum disease. It can be treated and brought back normal. For home care brush gently with soft brush and rinse well after meals. Practice using dental floss or interdental brush to clean the interdental spaces.

Hi, There could be two potential reasons behind these symptoms: First- you may have a decayed tooth which is damaged up till the nerves and causing pain, and the same pain is radiating to the ear and neck. Second- Your third molar may be in the erupting stage. It commonly erupts between 17 to 25 years of age and causes trouble to the patient until it has erupted fully. Depending upon the cause, the treatment line would be different. I suggest that you consult me privately on Lybrate for more specific answers and for an appropriate prescription. Take care.

Yes there is, nowadays few dentists are using invisalign technique to arrange the teeth without placing orthodontic brackets (clips). These are invisible occlusal trays that you have wear. Excellent esthetics, great results.

It may be difficult if your natural teeth and not firm enough to support artificial teeth. But we can take x-ray scans to check for quality of your jaw bone and can advise you implant provided you hav controlled diabetes and if there is no major contraindication for implant. You can consult me in clinic to evaluate for possibility of giving artificial teeth.

Hello, sir/mam. My question is to Dentist When I woke up in the morning and my teeth are covered by some like paste. White colour, So what is that and suggest me some medicine or freshener?

BDS

Hello, sir/mam. My question is to Dentist When I woke up in the morning and my teeth are covered by some like paste. ...
That white thing is plaque its contains bacteria grown when you are in sleep that's why doctor ask everyone to clean your teeth as soon as you wake up if these plaque is not removed and get calcified it will leàd to the formation of calculus and then periodontitis which will lead to mobility in teeth and many more complications.
