Bp is not constant it varies with your activity/emotions but persistant high bp is bad get your bp checked every month to see whether there is a persistant raise then get it treated.

Balance: tai chi helps in attaining a certain balance and poise that is required for the constant cleansing of toxins from the body and its various organs. In this way, tai chi actually works as a wholesome lifestyle moderator as well.

Breathing: in tai chi, the practitioner is asked to focus on one's breath. This will deeply enhance the way we take and use oxygen within the system, which in turn has a highly beneficial effect as far as heart diseases go. This effect is also known as meditation in motion.

My self Mahesh Mullick aged 65 years, my Blood Pressure has been for about two years 150/70. Last year Dr. Prescribed Medicine" Felogard 5 mg. Two time daily. But BP was have 150/80 and swelling started in left legs. Then Dr. Changed to" L N Bloc 10 mg. Two times daily since last month but still BP is 150/80. Now my doctor says there is missing pulse also there kindly explain Suggest.

To screen or not to screen all young athletes with ECG to discover problems hiding within the heart

Guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA) (endorsed by the American College of Cardiology) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), both recommend a screening before sports participation, but the Americans favor a detailed medical history combined with a physical examination only, while the Europeans favor the addition of the 12?lead ECG.

The controversy was evident in the results of a poll conducted during a debate session at the AHA meeting last year, which were published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine by James Colbert, MD, of Harvard Medical School.

Of the audience members who voted ?? an unscientific sample, to be sure ?? 70% favored some type of screening for cardiac disease in young athletes. And in a scenario where screening was already a foregone conclusion, 60% said it should include an ECG. A similar online poll on the NEJM website was even more informative, showing that the differences in opinion exist on both sides of the Atlantic.

Of the 1,266 people who voted on the site ?? again, not a scientific sample ?? 18% didn?t want any mandatory screening, 24% wanted screening with a medical history and physical exam, and 58% favored screening that included an ECG. The percentage of voters who endorsed an ECG was higher among Europeans than among Americans (66% versus 45%), but that still indicates a substantial amount of controversy regardless of geography.

Dear, To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk, start exercise with 5 to 10 minutes and increase time of exercise slowly. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

Good quality of sleep decreases heart rate and blood pressure thus decreasing work of heart lack of sleep keeps the heart rate and blood pressure elevated.both are linked to increased incidence of heart disease. Lack of sleep increases insulin resistance and the risk of type 2 diabetes Mellitus and also increases C-reactive protein a protein associated with inflammation.

Both diabetes and C-reactive protein are associated with higher incidence of coronary artery disease.

Drink plenty of water. Avoid chillies in any form. Eat small frequent meals. Please get liver function test and ultrasound whole abdomen done and upload the reports.

Try to avoid heavy, spicy, oily, fried meals - do walking exercises daily. Sometimes gas gets trapped in abdomen and resembles heart problems. If ecg - bp and other issues are normal then probablitiy of gas is more prompt.

Hello, take Angioton (Schwabe) ,15 drops with water twice daily. take lemon water with salt . Drink more water. Take a cup of the raw beetroot juice twice daily. It is one of the best home remedies for low blood pressure. Drinking a cup of strong black coffee can also help.

Show her to a wise physician the cause for her fainting should be found out. Many times its just psychogenic.

I have done stress test done 9 years back which came false positive coz went through thallium stress test twice in 3 years which came alright then got CT ANGIO done which came all right. I am type 2 diabetic for last 11 years. Do I need to repeat the CT ANGIO again now because it's been almost 7 years now I have not seen any cardiologist.

Hi, you have not mentioned whether your diabetes is controlled or not. I assume its controlled on above medicines. You can get a stress echo done and if positive then get an angiography done.

Yes she can use mobile phones. The only precaution, she needs to take is use on the side opposite to the pacemaker implantation side. She should not keep the phone in the front upper pocket.

I got my TSH value 10 times high and cholesterol increased too and less vitamin D. Cold senstivity, weakness feeling, fat/weight increasing are effects I see in my body. I do not have much junk food usually, do exercise (40-45 mins dance) approx 3 times a week. But no improvement on fat though it always helped me previously. Kindly help out what should my intake to balance my body nutrients.

The total cholesterol need to be controlled. You need a scheduled diet plan and start taking olive oil in regular use as soon as possible.
