Heat fermentation twice a day tk muscle relaxant medicine and do spine extension exercise and use lumbar belt with driving time avoid toward bending and tk soft pillow for back support in chair if it work then ok otherwise do physiotherapy for quick relief. Preventions must before treatment and after treatment.

I have a Cervical Rib on my left side. Currently no issues that I have with its presence. But need suggestions on the future with the same, what precautions which I need to take. And what would be the future effects / symptoms affecting that I may face with it. Thank you.

If cervical rib is not causing you any symptoms, don't worry about it. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head why not discuss with me in a video conference? (facility provided by lybrate. Com)

Hi self-management may include using ice, stretching, wearing proper footwear and altering training (exercise) methods. Ice should be applied prior to and following activity for approximately 20 minutes. Try using a frozen bottle of water and gently rolling it under the arch and heel.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

I have back pain it comes for few minutes in a day but very painful what should I do?
Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Knee pain in right leg since about a month. In any position, becomes stiff in about 20 minutes. Pain. Difficulty in movement. Totally avoiding squating. No habit of taking pain killers. What do u suggest.

U can do stretching exercises of calf muscle and dorsiflexors to avoid stiffness. Avoid cross leg sitting,weight bearing and stair climbing. Give hot formentation followed by analgesic cream massage.

Dear lybrateuser, - At your age your problem could be due to nutritional imbalance & inactivity or sedentary life - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables including seasonal & green leafy ones, also have protein foods like eggs, milk & milk products, tofu, legumes,sprouts, nuts, whole grains, healthy fats - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, stretching, swimming, do moderate weight lifting at least twice a week, also include yoga & deep breathing in your schedule to keep your body fit.

Sir, go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Kati Basti (Specialised Panchakarma procedure for Backpains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax ur back muscles and give strength to ur nerves and muscles of back. also start some Yogic exercises - Tadasana, Dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.
