General Physician,
Sir my dick is very short according my age I'm 20 years old but my dick lookalike babies dick sir help me plz.
While 85% of women were satisfied with the size and proportion of their partner's penis men were less sure of themselves.1  45% of men believe they have a small penis.  It has been concluded that flaccid lengths range around 7 to 10 centimetres (2.8-3.9 inches).  Flaccid circumferences range around 9 to 10 centimetres (3.5 to 3.9 inches).  Erect lengths range around 12 to 16 centimetres (4.7 to 6.3 inches).  Erect circumference is around 12 centimetres (4.7 inches).  A higher BMI and older age appear to be weakly associated with a shorter erect penis length.  Male concern about whether penile size lives up to the desires of females seems to be Largely misplaced.. One study suggested that while the majority of women, some 85%, were satisfied with the size and proportion of their partner's penis, men were less sure of themselves.1 Almost half of men in the study (45%) believed they had a small penis - yet the researchers reported that small penis size was actually rare. The average penis size to be as follows: Average length for an erect penis is 14.2 cm (5.6 inches) Average circumference of an erect penis is 12.2 cm (4.8 inches). Men who want surgery to increase the length of their penis should try non-invasive methods like penile traction devices or extenders first, and in some cases, even try therapy to make them feel more confident about their bodies. There is no proven scientific method to increase size, girth or grip of penis although many false claims have been propagated by advertisements. The size is determined by an individual’s genetic build and length actually has no relation with sexual pleasure or satisfaction as many wrongly believe. Be happy with your individual qualities nature has bestowed on you. At present, there is no proof of any non-surgical technique that permanently increases either the thickness or length of a normal penis. Some general research has been done regarding the safety and efficacy (or lack thereof) of the ingredients of various pharmaceutical or quasi-pharmaceutical preparations, but thus far, nothing has emerged to cause mainstream medicine to adopt any of them. There are also risks inherent in some of the more invasive procedures, with negative outcomes ranging from the tearing of skin and scarring, to permanent loss of sexual function.

Sleeping Habits - 7 Things That Can Help You Improve It!

General Physician, Mohali
Sleeping Habits - 7 Things That Can Help You Improve It!

We all look forward to a good night’s sleep after a long day at work. Sleep is one of the most blissful habits and is very essential as well. When one has not had a good night’s sleep, the following day’s productivity takes a toll for sure. It is therefore very essential to get good rest for at least 8 hours. Take the suggested therapy for any disease and it would include 8 hours of rest.

However, when you look closer, the poor sleep is due to some patterns that are our habits. This could include our food patterns, the side we sleep, the pillow we use, etc. Read on to know more!

  1. Food habits: Eating very close to bedtime is one of the worst things to do, especially if it is a greasy meal that you have had. Lying down after a heavy meal gets the acid coming up to the throat and causing further irritation. Keep the dinner light if you really are late for it.
  2. Smoking: Smoking up just before you hit the bed is another habit you should kick (even if you can’t kick the habit of smoking itself), the chemicals released keep you awake and stimulated and do not let you sleep.
  3. Alcohol: Though the general belief is that alcohol induces a good amount of sleep, it requires extra metabolism and so does not give a good night’s sleep. Think of hangover the next morning! There is no one who has a hangover without feeling groggy.
  4. Irregular sleeping pattern: While this is difficult with the changing times, it is very important to stick to a schedule. This helps in the body getting a good, restful sleep and not confusing it as to when to sleep and when to wake up.
  5. Lack of exercise: One of the many side effects of lack of sleep is the lack of a good sleep.
  6. Sleep environment: Keep a pillow and blanket that is comfortable, not too cosy. The room temperature should neither be too warm or cold.
  7. Technology: Keep technology (TV, mobile, tablet, etc.) out of your room and see how your sleep will improve. You can always catch up later on what is happening around you.

If you thought it was just about some hours of sleep, think again. In the long run, there are multiple effects of poor sleep including.

  1. Irritated, moody, angry
  2. Lack of focus and concentration
  3. Loss of productivity
  4. Memory loss
  5. Relationship issues
  6. Poor habits like binge eating and drinking (caffeine and coke) and excessive smoking and drinking

So, sleep for the prescribed 8 hours and see your quality of life improve. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a general physician.

You should get yourself checked up for the cause of cough. There are multiple reasons for cough occurring for 2 weeks, but its always good to know the reason. The precautions you may take is you may use a mask or handkerchief over face and nose when you cough specially in public, so that your infection does not spread to others. You may take steam inhalations to relief cough a bit, avoid taking cold water and going in cold air as they may increase your coughing.

Treating ovarian cysts

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), MS, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Ghaziabad
Treating ovarian cysts

All women have two ovaries located on either side of the uterus. They are fundamental for the process of child birth. However ovarian cysts have emerged as major problems which most women suffer from. In this, small pockets filled with fluids develop on the surface or within the ovaries. Though they are generally harmless, often times disappearing without any treatment, they do have the potential to create complications during child birth. Treatment of ovarian cysts depends on the size and the quantity of the cysts.

Some of the treatments available are-

1. Patience and a careful watch
In case medical examinations reveal tiny cysts, patience can be the key word. If you did not suffer from perceptible symptoms and the cysts were revealed only through tests, you must follow it with regular visits to the doctor. Few medications and regular ultrasound examinations are all you need in such a case.

2. Contraceptives
Birth control pills or contraceptives may be sometimes prescribed to you as possible medications to treat the cysts. Regular administering of these medicines deters the possibility of further development of cysts.  They also benefit greatly in reducing the possibilities of suffering from ovarian cancer in the future.

3. Operations
In case the tests reveal large cysts, operations or surgical removal of them may be the only possible solution.  Operations are generally suggested if the cysts have persisted for a long time and are accompanied by terrible pain in the lower abdomen.

4. Ovarian cystectomy
This is performed when the ovaries are kept intact and only the cysts are carefully removed.

5. Oophorectomy
In this form of surgery, only the ovary that is affected with the cysts is removed, while the other is kept intact. Both the ovaries might also have to be surgically removed if they are found to be affected.

6. Hysterectomy and subsequent removal of fallopian tubes and uterus
This is done when the cysts developed have the potential of becoming cancer us. In such a situation, an extreme measure is adopted with the complete removal of the ovaries along with the uterus and fallopian tubes. This is done in order to prevent the subsequent spreading of cancer. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

I had anal sex with my wife she is now complained of having too much pain during intercourse. Having used a lubricated condom , she did not feel any comfortness. 2. Secondly during foreplay I lov to lick but my wife says it is unhygienic . Is it safe to lick?

Unlike the vagina, the tissues of the anus are not stretchy. This means that the anus can easily tear, which puts the receiving partner in danger of anal abscesses, hemorrhoids, or fissures (a very large tear). Anal sex can weaken your muscles down there, which makes it hard to hold feces. The anus is full of bacteria. Consequently, the giving partner is especially prone to infections.

You have a typical indian lipid profile with more triglyceride than cholesterol. Please mention your ldl and hdl level as well. You are hypertensive but non diabetic. So, I have to calculate risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease before recommrnding any medication. Meanwhile, you have to follow restriction of fats and oils. Fish oil is beneficial for you. Exercise regularly.

Actually, since last two weeks I have been noticing a little white patch on my skin which is lighted than my skin tone. I have also consulted a dermatologist but I am still worried about it. My doctor suggested me the candid cream and said there was nothing to worry about and it could be just a yeast infection on my skin or due to sunburn. Now my question is that, actually everyday I apply Multani matti on my face to keep my skin fresh. Can I apply the candid cream after using the face pack only on the affected areas? And also, using candid cream is right? Please provide me some quicker and fast effective tips to help with these patches. Please.

Hello lybrate-user I completely understand your concern. It's good that you are so aware about your skin. Firstly ,light patches can be due to many reasons. Fungal infection, vitiligo, eczema and many other causes. I need to see your photo in order to guide you correctly. You may start an online consult for that. Secondly there is no issue in applying Multani mitti as long as you are comfortable with it. You may apply candid cream after that. Use a good sunscreen with atleast 15 SPF to protect your skin. Take care :)

Check your hemoglobin. Anemia leads to increased heart rate because given concentration of hemoglobin carries less oxygen and to carry needed amount of oxygen, heart has to pump same volume of blood more number of times which you perceive as increased heart rate and palpitation. If your hemoglobin level comes to be normal, then anxiety may be the reason behind your tachycardia or increased heart rate.
