I am 30 years old male, every time I go to get by bp checked it goes way beyond the normal range of 120-80. I feel alot of anxiety the moment the doctor straps the band on my arm. But when I am in my normal day to day chores I am absolutely normal. Does that mean I have hypertension?

Hi, ladies of your age are less likely to have ischemic heart disease, especially when there are no risk factors. The pain could be muscular or arising from the joints of your chest wall, a condition called costochondritis. You can have some pain killer ointments and avoid lifting weights with left hand.

There are different causes of chest pain. Cardiac chest pain or angina is squeezing type of heaviness which appears on working hard and goes away on resting. Gastritis is burning type of pain related to meals. There are other causes of chest pain like muscular pain also. It is best if you get yourself evaluated properly by a cardiologist. Some tests like treadmill test can help differentiate cardiac chest pain from noncardiac chest pain.

Dear, To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day. Hello, for healthy diet we need to cut down fat and pure carbohydrates from your diet. No fried and preserved food, no chips, farsan, pickles, ghee, red meat (mutton), egg yellow in your diet. Limit dairy products cut down upon oils used to cook food or shift to better oils like olive more of fresh fruits, vegetables, some nuts like walnut / almond, if you take fish, fatty fish like salmon 2-3 serving per week in your diet. Smaller meals as compared to 2 meals we usually take. Aerobic exercise 30-45 mins a day per week. Other supplement like, cod fish oil capsule, krill oil, garlic, flax seeds are good supplements rich in anti oxidants and improve your lipids profile.

Yes it does. And if your weight is optimal for your height (u can check that by BMI) you don't need to gain any more weight. Take diet precautions along with exercise and quit smoking if you smoke. Repeat your Lipid profile after 4 weeks. If it is still deranged you may need medicine.

Ayurvedic medicines together with allopathic medicines can sometimes cause drug interactions. Hence allopathic doctors usually do not know about the content of ayurvedic medicines, it will be very difficult to find out what kind of interactions are there. It could be very harmful for the body. It is better you stick to one of them.
