I have sleep paralysis. Is it ok to have it or should I start to take cure of it.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Sleep paralysis is more common in people who are sleep deprived, so getting enough sleep may help to reduce the number of episodes of sleep paralysis you have. Most adults need six to eight hours of good quality sleep each night. Keeping to a regular sleeping schedule, where you go to bed at roughly the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, can also help. Tips for improving your sleeping habits include: creating a restful sleeping environment that's quiet, dark and not too hot or cold ensuring your bed is comfortable exercising regularly (but not too close to bedtime) cutting down on caffeine not eating or drinking alcohol before bedtime giving up smoking (if you smoke) because nicotine is a stimulant.

For your wife Her problem may be related to her father's expiry. Let her follow this*Keep your bed room neat, dark and cool. You may cover your eyes with bed sheet. *Drink plenty of water during the day rather than toward bedtime. *Don’t have stimulating drinks like tea or coffee Drinking a glass of milk before going to bed is fine. The problem can be treated by homeopathy and without adverse effects. Take homoeopathic medicine Ignatia 200 twice daily in the morning and evening.

A medical research conducted by Professor Scott has readily proven that the human brain has the ability to differentiate between a fake laughter and a real one. So, if you are in a group of people and somebody is trying to laugh forcibly and deliberately, then your brain is able to identify that person easily.

Doctor of Medicine
General Physician, Surat
yes it is very easy to judge or know by human discretion it plays the role here in other word it can be said that it is but natural to differentiate the artificial laugh and natural or physiological laughing

MBBS, cc USG

I am giving some health tips for Migraine headache •1.You can turn off light for some time •2.Apply hot or cold compresses to your head or neck. •Ice packs have a numbing effect, which may dull the sensation of pain. •Hot packs and heating pads can relax tense muscles. •3.Warm showers or baths may have a similar effect. •4.You can take Tea or coffee( but not excess) 5.Sleep well Here are some tips to encourage sound sleep. Establish regular sleep hours. •Minimize distractions. •Your eating habits can influence your migraines. •Be consistent. Eat at about the same time every day. Don't skip meals. Fasting increases the risk of migraines Avoid foods that trigger migraines This problem can be solved by meditation i can give you address of Rajyoga meditation centre near your house (this is free of cost) consult Physician/me for further management
