1. Do warm saline gurgling 3-4 times daily 2. Take viscodyne d syrup 2tsf thrice daily if it is a dry cough or viscodyne syrup if cough is associated with sputum 3. You may have to take antibiotic along with it and carry out investigations including x ray chest after consulting physician, if no relief4. Avoid smoking if you smoke.

In ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause..Mix 1 teaspoon of onion juice with an equal amount of honey. 1.For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, Physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3.Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4.Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5.Do Yoga, Meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6.Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7.Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. It is not symptom of heart disease but a precursor, means high levels help in formation of thrombosis , blockages along with other factors. This is not given from outside but manufactured within the body. To reduce levels , take less of animal protein diet and inhale more oxygen , do more exercise to metabolise and help its manufacture less by the body. Drink lots of water + take more fresh fruits and vegetables.

Dear Lybrateuser, - To rule out any cardiac problem do ECG, echo & tmt test - also take some dietary precaution, have more of fibre containing foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, lentils, sprouts, nuts - avoid fried, processed & junk food - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 15-20 min, also do yoga & deep breathing for 5-10 min daily morning.

How To Live After A Heart Attack

A heart attack makes you rethink and get a double take on life. Once you survive it, you tend to realize how close your brush with death has been and how important your lifestyle choices can be. Most people go on to live a productive life after a heart attack provided they can adhere to making healthy choices. Here's what you can do if you have experienced your first attack and want to change for the better:

  1. Start at the hospital: A person usually stays in the hospital for 3 days after an attack to monitor their condition. This duration increases if you have complications that involve procedures like a bypass surgery. Your first significant change will come in the form of your medication routine. Your existing dosage may be adjusted and you'll possibly be prescribed newer medicines that will treat and control your symptoms. You'll not only need to know the names of all your medicines, but when you have to take them. It's best you know exactly why you are taking each one of them, if there are other more economic alternatives since this may last a lifetime and what side effects they may have.
  2. Maintaining your mental health: Once bitten, twice shy applies for heart attack victims too. Not only do they live in a constant worry about another attack, every small symptom like a harmless muscle pull can trigger the fear factor. You also get into the "heart patient" dependent mode based on how much help you need to recover. Check for support groups and other heart attack survivors in your locality to see how they are coping. Read more about your recovery and try to keep a positive frame of mind.
  3. Go to a cardiac rehab: Many hospitals have a rehabilitation program that you can participate in as an outpatient or you can go to a clinic that specializes in it. Such programs help speed up your recovery. It is run by people who will hand hold you in bringing positive changes in your life to protect and strengthen your heart. You'll learn activities that positively improve heart functions and reduce your chances of developing complications or dying from heart disease. You'll also get benefit from exercises that'll be taught by a certified exercise specialist.
  4. Make a change in your lifestyle: Quit smoking that is an obvious one. You'll now have to lead a more active lifestyle with daily exercise. You'll also need to actively manage your diabetes and obesity. None of these changes can happen in a day. In fact, behavioral scientists suggest that you need to practice a new activity continuously for twenty one days for it to become a habit.

Central obesity and heavy alcohol intake can lead to heart rhythm abnormality/ atrial fibrilation.It can cause clot formation in heart,which when discharged from heart can block a brain vessel leading to paralysis.

1. Limit intake of food rich in saturated fat/Trans fat/dietary cholesterol. Avoid saturated fat like red meat, diary product, cakes/cookies, egg yolk, butter, ghee, coconut oil. Use olive oil. 2. Take food rich in omega 3 fatty acid like fish (Salmon/mackerel/Trout/sardins). 3. Take handful of dry fruits like walnut/ almond 4.increase soluble fibers in diet by eating oat/oat bran/barley 5. Take green leafy vegetables/legumes (lentil/bean/peas) fruits. 5. Go for regular exercise like brisk walking/swiming/cycling/ going to gym 6. Quit smoking/alcohol/excess tea/coffee 7. Reduce weight 8. Take medicine after consulting physician.

I am working out from 2 years my height is 5'8" & weight 68. My inner & also lower part of right chest is lagging behind than left one. But at same time my outer & upper part of right chest is stronger than left one. Please tell me how can I overcome with that uneven chest can I get help with that?

Uneven chest muscles are normal. the fault may lie in your workout. In that case, you can easily take corrective method. When it comes to balancing the the dominate side of your body with its weaker side, using dumbbells will help. Make sure you use a balanced grip.

Frequent urination ,feeling hungry and feeling thirstu and sometimes unexplained weight loss but these symptoms are not seen So I suggest you better to go a diabetologist and check your sugar levels. A daily walk and good diet will help you.You must cut all sugar,packed foods and table salt in your diet

For low blood pressure, take lots of liquids as fluids increase blood volume and help prevent dehydration, both are important in treating hypo tension. Take little more salt in diet (if no heart problem or kidney problem). Medicines are required to treat low blood pressure that occurs when you stand up. Take coffee as it will temporarily increase the bp. Take adequate rest. Hope this helps you.

It seems to be due to the gastritis / hyperacidity. Take antacid tablet 1 before breakfast . Eat smaller meals frequently than heavy food. Avoid carbonated drinks and spicy food. Chew your food properly. Eat 3-4 servings of fruits everyday. Avoid constipation. Hope this helps u.

yes it is dangerous. get him treted for 1 block which may be in a major blood vessel. there are no miracle medicines to clear blocks ,though diet can help him but he is showing symptoms of block-reason he needs intervention. heart pain need not be only on left side.
