I am a 38 year old male. For the last one month I m feeling pain in the joints and backside of palms of both the hands. A little bit swelling on the backside of palm of left hand. Is this due to uric acid or something else. I am non-alcoholic and vegetarian.

If there is swelling it can be from uric acid deposition called gout and check your serum uric acid level.

The initial choice of treatment is a steroid ointment that is locally applied. (this can be suggested by a doctor after you are examined in person) the ointment softens the foreskin and is applied for up to 6 weeks. When full retraction is possible the ointment is stopped. If this treatment is unsuccessful, a circumcision (surgical removal of foreskin) may be advised.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

This could be the result of muscle soreness by performing the exercise. Try applying ice on the area for 10-15 min, this will help to improve the blood flow and also relax the spasm.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine Ledum Pal 30 ( 4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update.

Hello lybrate user, if you are still on medications for problems you have mentioned better go through only external care for your lower back like - apply ksheerabala taila/ dhanwantara taila and keep hot water bag over there for 15min which will relive you from back pain and strengthen your back bones as such. You can apply any analgesic ointments or gels or sprays 4-5 times per day. Avoid hard pillows. Use soft pillow while sleeping. You can take analgesic tablets orally. You can even go for a mild oil massage. If the pain does not subside within 2-3 days with the above measures, get yourself checked by a doctor for further treatment.

Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. Hi lybrate-user, I would suggest you to go for knee strengthening exercises as it will reduce your pain. In the meantime please go for proper investigation like xray to check if there is any arthritis or not. Also would suggest you to take proper diet which should include calcium. If required, take calcium tablets also.

nutrition is very important in muscle building. you might want to add protein in your diet to increase protein compnent to 50% of energy need. daily intake of gram a katori full in breakfast and pulses and eggs will be helpful

Hi back pain usually occurs due to prolonged sitting in a bad posture or on a very soft sofa so my suggestion to you is avoid long sitting at one place for a very long time take adequate breaks and stand up and stretch yourself. For your current painful situation please apply hot pack on the lower back twice a day for 10 minutes and start strengthening your core muscle.

Computer usage doesn't cause any disease, but in which posture you are sitting matters. So do neck exercise stretching is a good exercise. Take a rest for at least 10 minutes after hour long working. Shoulder exercise use backrests.
