Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis that is found mostly in old age group. It is also known as degenerative arthritis as the cartilage that covers the ends of your bones starts to deteriorate over time.

Causes behind this disease vary from Joint overuse to injuries to hereditary. Over weight people or people suffering from Obesity face a higher risk of developing osteoarthritis  .

Joints like knees, hips, and lower spine are commonly affected by osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis is classified in two types:

Primary Osteoarthritis: This type is commonly visible in old age people and is generated because of the growing age that deteriorates the cartilage around the bones.
Secondary Osteoarthritis: is mostly hereditary or is caused by other pre-existing condition or disorder like obesity, surgery of the joints, diabetes, gout, etc.

Hello Doctor, I'm not addicted to drinking, drug's or smoking but all of the above I'm addicted to one thing that is more dangerous than all that is" Masturbation" That thing is killing me I can't over come this. The following are the thing's I've been affected 1. Knee pain, hip pain, joint's pain for the past 12 years & its getting worse now. 2. I've undergone a Laparoscopic surgery for removing gall bladder because stone has been formed in it and doctors advised to remove it. Operation done on Jan 2013. And I'm a severe pancreatitis too. 3. Severe hair fall & white hair forming. I can experience it by seeing stage by stage at first the hair is becoming thin (like health less condition) and blading. And I'm ageing too. I smoke 1 cigrate for one day and drink 1 beer for 2 months once. I'm Dying doctor, can this be curable or not. Please frankly tell me. Because of this habit I've lost my career, my Precious health, my personality openly speaking I lost Everything in this Life. I'm the Very Worst, useless Creature in this Planet.

Hello. Masturbation drains vital nutrients from the body. If body is in the state of good health to recover, supported by healthy food, regular exercise and calm mind, this practice may cause no impact. Continued drain without enough nutrition reach can lead to weakness (trauma), reflected both in mind (lack of self confidence is the most common) and in the body (digestive disorders, hair fall, frequent urination etc). I have multiple complaints as below. I have border line diabetes now. How to prevent myself from this diabetes and what is the food structure I should follow. (i am vegetarian) I have swelling on prostate and I am urinating slowly. Presently I am taking alopathy medicine and it is making me dry orgasm. During sex I couldn't feel satisfied due to this medicine. At the beginning it is making me erectile dysfunction also. I am also having cholestrol (triglyceride) level high. This is for backache.Once it is cured every thing is likely to fall in order. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. I am 45 years female . I have a prob lame of urinary burn. Uti is a chronic problem. You should take treatment minimum for 4 wks. Take plenty of liquids to flush the kidney. You should get urine c& s tested from any pathological laboratory to select the drug which is effective to you.

The most common form of morning stiffness and pain is due to muscle imbalances and poor conditioning of the muscles themselves. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and learn how to safely, easily, stretch and strengthen the weak and tight areas of your lower back and hips which cause pain while sleeping. For knee pain the best treatment course would be to undergo janu vasti at a panchakarma centre near u. After undergoing janu vasti, you shall be completely treated. If need the doc might prescribe you some ayurvedic medicines depending on your body type. Till then you can have drumstick soup daily. Also boil 2 pieces of garlic in 1 cup milk & 1 cup water. When 1 cup remains, strain & drink daily after adding 1 tsf cow ghee.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily ..Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall.. .Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana ? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.

I am a 23 year old male suffering from pain in left side of the back neck, shoulders and a specific spot (like a nerve) in the back chest. Its been paining for over a year. Sometimes the pain passes like a shock to the chest, left hand, finger tips (like pricking). Some days pain is severe. I have consulted one or two doctors and had some medicines, one of the doctor said a nerve has been pulled while lifting weight. But even after I took the medicines I am not relieved from the pain.
