Hello. For sore throat: - Avoid cold things, fried/ oily food. -Avoid excessive use of voice/ roughly using voice or else shouting. - Gargle with salt and warm water solution thrice daily. - Take Ginger tea. - Avoid excessive cold air or sudden change of temperature (like coming from heat/ sunlight to an A/C room). - Can cover your throat with a stole. My son is now seven months old and when he born since then he is having nasal sound and now also coming voice from his nose. So that is cough or any else . Regular voice coming.

Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), MBBS

It seems your son is having nasal intonation, which is in medical term known as rhinolalia. Now there are two types of rhinolalia 1. Operta and 2. Clausa. Rhinolalia operta is caused by cleft palate, while rhinolalia clausa is caused by enlarged adenoids or any nasopharyngeal mass. So you must consult an experienced ent surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Bone graft resorption is a common issue with some people due to the nature of the bone and the reaction of the body even in the best of hands. Fillers have to be repeated once in a year and fat grafting effects lasts longer. Both are good options.

Agar chhick bar bar aati (> 5-6 times) with itching around nose aggravated by dust and cold then it indicate towards allergic rhinitis which may in turn be accompanied with bronchal asthma with leads to difficulty in breathing. Get to a nearby doctor if such symptoms happens again to check your lungs. Otherwise there's no relation between sneezing and difficulty in breathing. Just relax.

I am a 22 years old male. I have been feelings ng weak for the past 1 months. I have also lost my diet for meals but feel hungry now and then at odd hours. Something I also get dizzy especially when it's hot or sunny.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science

Hye, Thanks for the query. Not eating the right foods at the right time usually causes reduced stamina and deficiency of nutrients. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well.    Exercise at least thrice a week.

I am suffering from sinusitis. How to get rid of it please help me. I am not suppose to drink cold water even in summer. When I affect with there will be severe. Pain in nasal cavity and nose will block for long time.

D.N.B, D.L.O
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Bangalore
Hi you can not get rid of sinusitis. Certain precautions can be taken during an attack of sinusitis to avoid further worsening. You should start with steam inhalation twice a day. That will help in clearing up the phlegm collected in sinuses also reducing the headache if you have. Nasal blockade will be due to allergy can use nasal decongestant drops to open up during night but keep usage occasionally. You can have cold water but not the chilled ones. Avoid exposure to dust that precipitates an attack of sinusitis. Get an x-ray of sinuses done and nasal endoscopy done that will give a better picture of how severe is sinusitis accordingly treatment can be started. Take care.
