I have a pain just behind my left knee, I can't sit, it's a vein pain I think. Tried a couple of doctors but the pain is still there.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Dear doctor I am 44 years old. My sugar level after food 250 some times 350 at present I am taking medicine GLYCOMET-GP 2 Forte. And my two foots including foot fingers very painful some times pining my foot pain and I am taking medicine PREGABALIN-75. Pls any body advice me take any other medicines kindly help to me. Your blood sugar is very high and is not controlled with the medicine. You may have to start insulin. Consult physician/diabetologist for advice 1. Do regular aerobic exercise for 1 hour daily (brisk walking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling etc) 2. Reduce weight if overweight 3control diet a) avoid sweets, sugar/honey, milk, milk product excess calorie and carbohydrate rich diet like white bread, cereal, rice, pasta b) avoid all refined food like maida, pasta, starchy food like rice, potato, bakery item, processed food, c) include more fiber like pulse, green leafy vegetable, cucumber, carrot, tomato, j legume. D) avoid sweetened fruit like banana, mango, litchi, chickoo, sapota, seethaphal jack fruit, grape etc. Can have fruits like guava, pineapple, papaya, orange, mousambi, strawberry, watermelon, pomegranate, jack fruit, sweet potato, a handful of walnut daily (akhrot) e) avoid white/polished rice, take unpolished rice like brown rice/wheat/jowar/ragi, moong and chana dal. F) avoid ghee/ butter./coconut oil/excess salt intake like papad/pickle. G) avoid red meat. Take fish/chicken. H) avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks like soft drink 4. Adhere to a strict diabetic diet by consulting dietitian 5. Monitor your fasting, pp blood sugar 3 monthly and hba1c six monthly 6. Consult diabetologist for advice and treatment.

I am having hairfall at a large scale and acnes all over my face and on my shoulders also. The acnes pains a lot when you press or hold them. As I was recently been transfered here so I think its because of the water here! Please help.

Pain in legs (CRAMPS) is a common condition. Do hot fomentation Keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take IBUPROFEN 200mg OD & SOS x 5days CALDIKIND PLUS (mankind) 1 tab ODx10days You will need other supportive medicines also. Do knee exercises It may have to be further investigated Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. You will need other supportive medicines also. Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Since you have pain in shoulder region since 7 days only and that also happened after sleep at night, I would advise you: 1) to start with anti-inflammatory medications( short course) 2) intensive physical therapy 3) ice packs and local analgesic spray for local application. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

My age is 21 and I smoke cigarettes and weed daily and drink occasionally. I am suffering from ankylosing spondylitis arthritis from last 10 years. My height is 5'3 and weight is 40 KGS. I am a male. Two glasses of milk contain around 14 gram of protein while the polyunsaturated fats in almond add those extra calories when included in the everyday diet. Crush a handful of almonds and add it to the boiling milk. Simmer it for five minutes. You can sweeten it with a tsp of sugar. Then, pour it in a glass and sip it slowly. Its very severe pain as per your description. Does she hear cracking sound when she moves her knees? She should get x rays of her knees. Both knee AP view ( single leg weight bearing x ray ) Both knees lateral view, Skylline view for patella. If there is some problem, we will come to know from these x rays and treatment can be advised accordingly.

This might be due to lack of blood circulation in the hands and we suggest to do contrast bath therapy ie. Immersing in cold/hot water in the interval of 3-5 minutes which will help you reduce the pain and it will also improve the range of movements in the hand

One of the main causes of foot pain is wearing shoes that do not fit properly. You can also develop foot pain if you are injured during high-impact exercise or sport activities, such as jogging or intense aerobics. There are a few general tips that can help relieve your discomfort. These include: 1.applying ice to the affected area 2.taking a pain reliever medicine 3.using foot pads to prevent rubbing on the affected area 3.keeping the foot that is causing you pain elevated 4.resting your foot as much as possible You can take many measures to help prevent ongoing foot pain. For example: 1.choose comfortable, roomy, and well-cushioned shoes 2.avoid shoes with large heels and narrow toe areas 3.maintain a healthy weight 4.stretch before engaging in vigorous exercise 5.practice good foot hygiene 6.always wear some type of footwear when outdoors to protect your feet. As of now for headache you can take tablet paracetamol. But we will have to make a diagnosis to get to the cause of it which can be either due to frontal sinusitis or due to migrane or due to refractive error of the eyes or due to other causes for which we have to investigate.
