I am having arthritis for the past 4 years. There is a slight joint space diminish on the medial side. I do exercise very regularly. But I am noticing that I get swelling on the back of the right knee which is causing problem. This happens on prolong sitting and diminish on walking. Please advice how to cure this symptom.

Advice... Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Any condition due to strain full activity apply ice pack for 20 minutes and apply pain relief ointment and avoid jogging and training, long standing, and apply bandage for few days.

It might be of degenerative changes in the joints for pain she can have ift and laser therapy for 14 days followed by joint mobilization exercises from the therapist as long as bp concerned check it regularly and have medicines prescribed by your physician

No doubt you have to protact your hand from old. You can do so with the help of wollens. Physiotherapy helps a great deal. Local applicants don't give any permanent relief.

I am 35 year old male. I have severe leg pain on my both on my both legs. Taking some drug for this. Like calcium tablets and some more drug. Still, my leg pain is severe. My leg pain from last 2 years. Also try with some pain relieving lotion. What is better treatment for this? Also try one accupanjar treatment. Still my leg pain severe. Only calcium tablets enough and doing some exercise. Also walk some more distance. It's due to only aging problem. Any physiotherapy treatment available for this. Or only this tablets enough for me. For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

May be you are having pain in the heels, its generaaly due to hard footwear and vit d deficiency. Please use sport shoes to walk and take vit d supplements.

I am a professor in the dept of soil and water engineering, to years back on 17 sept 2013 i suffered from a disc prolapse l5s1, i took 45 days of bed rest, some doctors advised to go for surgery, while others cautioned me to continue with changed life style, once in while i do take pain relievers, there is numbness in the left heel and outer shoe line and two of the toes, i used to go by bicycle all these years form 1987, now i am using auto-drive car, do suggest me any exercise/ methods so that i can gain strength of the back and do physical work.

Hello, this type of sensation and numbness is due to compression of your spinal cord. If you can, send me all the investigation reports, it will help me to explain you the type exercises. Till then follow these advise - 1. You have to maintain correct posture with protracted shoulder, sit properly with back rest on the pillow, walk straight with your shoulder protracted. 2. While lying down on your bed, keep pillow under your knees. 3. While side lying, keep pillow between the knees. 4. Have balanced diet which is rich in calcium. 5. Drink lots of water, it will keep supple your joints. 6. Morning walk and sunbath is must for at least 15-20 mins. 7. I recommend back flexion exercises like knee to chest, straight leg raising, static abdominal exercises etc. 8. Active and passive hamstrings and quadriceps muscles stretching may helpful for you. Thanks.

Hello, It's advisable to take suggestion from the same physician who is treating him as he knows your father's whole history and would be able to guide you (for any investigations) properly. Medication: For pain, can give him Mag. Phos. 6x/ thrice daily.

Every neck pain is not spondylosis.you are young and working on computer or bad sleeping posture can give you neck pain. The best treatment is gradual neck exercise twice a day with moderate heat on the back of your neck

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.
