I am 59 years old I am having creatinine level less more than 4.0 now what should I do.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
You have to see if there are any effects on you. Creatinine level alone is not the factor to decide on treatment the normal range of creatinine in a healthy adult male is 0.6 to 1.2 mg/dl. Creatinine levels higher than 10.0 indicate very severe kidney disease. A measurement above 8.0 will prompt your healthcare provider to run additional tests.

Thank you for writing to us. Please note the following in respect to your query: it could be simply due to a uti (urinary tract infection) you are suffering from. It could also be due to enlarge prostate (this is rare in a person at your age). Third it could be due to extreme cold at your place and you are taking/drinking lots of water. Please check the above causes and in case you require any further consultation get back to me. Thanks.

You should follow these very important and simple things to prevent stone formation & to get sure treatment of kidney stones: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones.

Dr. my have phosphates positive in urine test and before urine test if she eat she always vomit and nort feel hungry after we go. Hospital they told us phosphates positive Dr. this is any dangerous or it normal and she pregnant 2 and half month.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
High urine phosphate levels may be caused by kidney diseases, an over-active parathyroid gland (hyperparathyroidism) and too much vitamin d in the body. During early pregnancy such report is possible even when there is no abnormality. As she is vomiting a lot, you should get urine ketone done which will help her. Also you can repeat the test for phosphate from anothe lab once vomiting subsides.

Dear user, use tea tree face wash and toner twice daily. Use aha glow face wash once in a day. Use sunscreen with spf 30 daily. Use natural face pack of multani mitti and lemon 2 times a week. You can also use apple cider vinegar for 5 minutes after washing your face and splash it clean with water. Most important is diet- do not eat junk, eat more vegetables and fruits especially with vitamin c.

I am 36 years old. I have kidney disease from 11 years. I am on dialysis. I don't want transplant. If any other suggestions for me then please tell me. Thanks.

MD - Pathology
General Physician, Amritsar
Once kidney is not functioning only options are dialysis and kidney transplant. If you do not want transplant then only option remains is dialysis. For dialysis again there are options of home dialysis and dialysis done in a hospital. You can discuss these with your treating doctor which one will suit you better.

Kidney stones are a very common health problem. They form from the chemicals in urine, such as uric acid, phosphorous, calcium and oxalic acid. Other common causes of kidney stones are excessive consumption of vitamin d, a mineral imbalance, dehydration, gout and an improper diet irrespective of the size of the kidney stones, they can cause severe pain. Other symptoms include a desire to urinate frequently, painful urination, nausea, vomiting and excessive sweating. Pomegranate both the seeds and juice of pomegranates have astringent properties that can help in the treatment of kidney stones? try to eat one whole pomegranate or drink one glass of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice daily. You can mix pomegranate in a fruit salad also. Another option is to grind one tablespoon of pomegranate seeds into a fine paste. Eat this paste along with a cup of horse gram soup once daily. This remedy will help dissolve the stones. Being high in fiber, kidney beans can be effective in the treatment of any kind of kidney or bladder problem, including kidney stones? remove the beans from inside the pods, then put the beans in hot water. Simmer the water on low flame for hours until the beans become soft and tender. Strain the liquid and allow it to cool. Strain the liquid again. Drink it several times throughout the day to relieve kidney stone pain. This liquid should not be kept for more than 24 hours, as it will lose its therapeutic properties? you can also eat kidney beans in soup or salad. To conclude, you can try any of these natural remedies for treating kidney stones ayurvedic medicenes are neeri syrup and calcury syrup and vrikkdoshhar vati for more queries inform me.
