Hi, your reports show that your blood sugar levels are gradually increasing and your hba1c is definitely high. Therefore, it confirms that you are diabetic. But right now you need not be on oral hypoglycaemics. Be on strict diabetic diet (avoid direct sugar) and start walking for 1 hour daily for one month and then check your fbs and ppbs along with urine sugar and revert back with the reports. If the values are within normal range, then you can control diabetes with strict diet and exercise for the time being.

I am 31 years old and I am suffering from uric acid what should I do?

MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
Endocrinologist
Ask Free Question
A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity, psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain, oats, green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed. Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos for pain in joints.

Lybrate-user, if hypothyroidism is not in control then various symptoms keep disturbing, plus weight gain also continues. So it is essential o bring tsh level down to 3 to 4 milli units/l. Then all symptoms will disappear plus efforts to control weight also will be successful. Thanks.

The solution is simple. Both you and your partner should consult the doctor and go for basic tests. Further treatment depends on the test results. For the time being, I'l suggest you to have regular intercourse between 12th and 16th days of the menstrual period. Don't worry. All the best.

One of the problems of t1dm is loss of weight if blood sugar control is not good. I would like to know the dosage of insulin per day, fasting and pp levels and hba1c %. Also give me details of your diet, then I can guide you better. You can have coconut water, there is no harm. But sugar conrol has to be good. I await your details.

Mr. Lybrate-user, what is the query? you seem to have asthmatic condition probably due to allergy. The remedy for such a condition is to take prescribed drugs regularly, avoid exposure to known allergen and avoid excess physical strain as that also is likely to precipitate an attack. I have noticed in a few of my patients practicing pranayam (breathing exercises) regularly does help in overcoming the severity of the condition. The seven pranayams: bhastrika, kapalbhati, bahya, agnisar, anulom vilom, bhramari and udgit (om). Thse are really helpful.

Hello, if u remove thyroid then u will have to take it for life time, if u have hypothyroidism and taking thyronorm, u have to check s. Tsh monthly initially then 3 monthly and then 6 monthly and then annually if s. Tsh is stabilized at fixed dose of thyronorm. Dose can be decreased depending on tsh level but can not be omitted unless maintained on minimim dose.

If you want to control your diabetes (blood sugar) then there is no alternative other than taking allopathic medication. Till date there is no other treatment for established diabetes other tahn either oral anti diabetic drugs or insulin. If you are not willing to take these drugs then I am not aware of any other treatment you are very young, so please rethink because diabetes if uncontrolled affects all the systems in the body like kidneys, heart, blood vessels (small and large), eyes, nerves and legs. If you are willing to change please inform me.
