If you still have calf muscle pain kindly check your blood for cbc and electrolytes as low potassium levels cause typical calf muscle pain.

Dear lybrate user. Will recommend getcyourself examined by an orthopaedic doctor in your area. In meantime you can do following blood test vitamin d 3. Cbc. Esr. Ra test. On empty stomach. It will help to know the cause. X ray ls spine ap and lateral view. X ray right hip. Also start with following homeo medication rhus tox 200 3 pills 3 times a day for 15 days.

I have discomfort in the left trapezius muscle since last 2 months. Have taken homeopathy medicine earlier but no relief. My physician has prescribed calpol 650 but it cured just 20-30 percent. The discomfort is more in the morning This seems to be muscular stress and stiffness. Please suggest a solution. Sometime the discomfort stretched to the left biceps as well.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hi. Cervical spondylosis is also called cervical osteoarthritis. It is a condition involving changes to the bones, discs, and joints of the neck. These changes are caused by the normal wear-and-tear of aging. With age, the discs of the cervical spine gradually break down, lose fluid, and become stiffer. Cervical spondylosis usually occurs in middle-aged and elderly people. Sleeping on your back without a pillow to encourage the natural curves along the spine to align properly. Also sleeping on your side with a pillow that is the size of the gap between your shoulder and head to release the strain on the neck. Using too many pillows is not recommended. Regular exercise lubricates the disks of the spine and helps to combat degeneration of the disks. Exercise can help keep your body strong and supple as you age. High-impact exercises such as running should be avoided if you are experiencing any neck pain because the shock of impact can worsen your condition. Light, low-impact exercises such as walking, swimming or aqua aerobics help to support the body. Using a routine of neck stretches and yoga exercises will maintain flexibility and range of motion in the neck and cervical spine. Sit up tall with good posture. Roll the shoulders up and back. Inhale and lift the head up toward the sky. Exhale and drop the head toward the chest. Repeat this movement with your breath 10 to 15 times. Bring the head back to center and drop the right ear toward the right shoulder. Repeat on the left side and continue for 10 to 15 repetitions. Roll the head in circles to the right and then to the left. Drop the right ear toward the right shoulder and press the right hand gently into the left side of the forehead to increase the stretch. Repeat on the other side. Yoga (better do it under supervision and guidance by a qualified yoga-instructor first and do it alone later): certain yoga postures such as cobra and bridge pose help to strengthen and stretch the muscles of the neck. Perform bridge pose lying on your back with the knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Press the feet into the floor and lift the hips up toward the sky. Clasp the hands underneath the body and straighten the arms. For cobra pose, start on your stomach. Bring your hands to either side of your chest. Press the hands into the floor and roll the shoulders back. Lift the upper body off of the floor and press the tops of the feet into the floor. Elongate the neck and move the tips of the ears back toward the shoulders.

Sir, I am a 28 year old male. I would like to vaccinate myself for Hepatitis B, but I was diagnosed for sub clinical Hypothyroidism (hashimoto hypothyroidism) from an year with Anti TPO of 282.9 IU/ml. TSH (5.2). T3 (1.11) and T4 (7.0).The tests were of 6 months back. I am not on any medication. I have read in wikipedia that Hep-B vaccine can be a doubted-causative factor to another auto immune disease called Multiple sclerosis. I am little worried to take vaccine for this reason. Please clarify if I can take the vaccine ? Thanks for your help.

A number of studies have ben conducted to see if there is any linkage between hepatitis b vaccine and auto immune disorder. The results are reassuring, there is no such development. So you can go ahead with the vaccination.

Leg pain can be due to various reasons. It can be due to tight muscles, referred pain from low back, vascular problems etc. Usually stretches for tight calf, hamstrings, quadriceps can help. Try hot or cold fermentation. Deep tissue massage can help relax tight muscles and reduce pain.

Dear user, check your bed mattress first, it should not be soft. Use hard mattress. Take hot fomentation, spinal extension exercises regularly for 10 days. Avoid prolonged position either sit or standing. Do not lean forward in sitting position. Do it and revert me. Thanks.

Continuuously work is your problem tk break between work and do walk for 5 to 10 minute and slight stretch your muscle. Then again do your work. And heat formation with rest time and apply the pain relief ointment.

Knees pain can b due to arthritis or muscle weakness. Also lack of vitamin d, calcium won't help if vit d is low. So get vitamin d check. If you need any further assistance please let me know. Thank you.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: rest. Ceasing activity for a few days allows injured tissue and even nerve roots to begin to heal, which in turn will help relieve lower back pain. However, more than a few days of rest can lead to a weakening of the muscles, and weak muscles have to struggle to adequately support the spine. Patients who do not regularly exercise to build strength and flexibility are more likely to experience recurrent or prolonged lower back pain. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.
