Dear user. Educational counseling is understanding the students ability, skills and problems and providing suitable and long standing solutions to those problems. This target is achieved through counseling and educational therapy sessions. These can be done through online means like video chatting, audio chatting etc. I can provide such services through Lybrate itself. Please consider your son's problem as genuine and go ahead for online educational counseling. Take care.

Insecurity in kids is very common. Spend quality time with him even if it's less in the busy schedule. Try to spend lesser time with gadgets. Kids do immitate what they see. Give some rewards for doing good work. And encourage the child.

Common type of hole in the heart is vsd. Small vsds will not require surgery. Most of them close spontaneously after a few years. If it's a big vsd & causing symptoms then only it needs surgery.

Maintain temp chart without any medicine 4 times in a day at least for 4 days to ascertain nature of fever. If temp remains under 99.5 degree F and child is active, there is no need of worry otherwise consult pediatrician.

I have 7yrs old son and he is suffering with adenoid transcle since 3yrs and he is taking prescribed medicines, now doctor advice is to go for surgery. Is it compulsary for the children. Once our doctor said that these transcles will cure automatically when the boy grows. Doubts ------------- 1) if the surgery is necessary how much it cost 2) after the surgery throat is effected or not 3) does it effect the other child.

MS - ENT(Gold Medalist), MBBS
ENT Specialist, Delhi
Although adenoid regress with age but once adenoids are infected and enlarged enough to cause airway narrowing surgery is only curative treatement. Now a days done with new techniques like microdebrider/coblator with minimal bleeding and pain.

1 year 3 month baby had a cardiac problem which is called (coa, had he spend his life normally after andrioscopy?
Hello thanks for the query the management and outcome of coarctation of aorta depends on its severity and it's effect on lung. If coarctation is mild and cardiac contractility is good you can wait. If possible the surgery should be deferred till 5 years of age as if operated earlier baby may need to be operated again. Please attach the report so that I better able to help you out. Regards.

Barotollli or borges extra virgin olive oil is the best for her. Olive oil has more effective value in skin rather than those creams. Bt it has to be Italian extra virgin olive oil. It's used in cooking also. It's the best.

Vomiting in Children Post Meals - 4 Common Reasons Why!

MBBS, MD - Paediatrics, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Fellowship

Vomiting in Children Post Meals - 4 Common Reasons Why!

Children might vomit after meals due to various causes. While they may not be life threatening or potentially harmful to the child, getting to the bottom of the problem to deal with it is better, so as to prevent it from becoming a chronic problem is definitely vital.

Listed below are some of the most common reasons children might throw up:

  1. Gastroenteritis: This may be virus, bacteria and parasite induced. The best way to deal with it is to eat clean food and wash hands with an antiseptic soap prior to each meal. It is usually seen in combination with diarrhoea.
  2. Allergies: Some children who throw up might do so as it is allergy induced. To diagnose the cause of food induced vomiting, the allergens must be noticed as soon as possible as there might be more than one food ingredient causing the reaction in the child. Each time the child throws up, the parents must note down all the food ingredients consumed by the child. This helps the paediatrician in better diagnosing the underlying cause of vomiting. In children up to the age of 4, foods such as rice, poultry, milk and soy often act as triggers and it is called ‘food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome’ (FPIES).
  3. Backing up of food: Anti peristalsis or the backward movement of food along the digestive tract might happen in children for a host of reasons. The digestive tract has muscles which prevent the backward flow of food and instead, force the food downwards i.e. from mouth to anus. Due to children having weaker musculature in their digestive tract, regurgitation might be a frequent occurrence.
  4. Reflux: Swallowing large amounts of air while eating can make the child bloated leading to reflux. Reflux can also take place if the baby is being overfed.

If the child is frequently throwing up after meals, keeping them hydrated is of utmost importance. Unless a doctor prescribes them anti-vomiting medicines, they shouldn’t be administered to children. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a pediatrician.

Normally maximum brain growth occurs till the age of 2 years. Hence blood supply will be more to the head. This is the reason for the head to be warm in this age.

My daughter aged 6 years suffering from epilepsy for four years since then after medical check up and test she is on valparine syrup without fail and she never had seizures after that as well. We were advised that the medicine will run for years. Should we continue with the same.

MBBS, Diploma in Child Health (DCH)

I don't know your past history of seizures but if you have given it regularly for 4 years and no seizure, I think you can slowly reduce the dose and stop it with constant watch for some time.

Cavity is very common in milk teeth in case of the children due to poor oral hygiene and habits of takings sugary items, I think you should visit your dentist for this purpose.
