Hello knee pain is not a major problem to you unless it is affected by some causes. Try to find out the cause behind after investigation. If its normal then take knee cap be used 8 hrs daily. Have massage of rumatil oil or orthofit oil. Take pain killers as required. The pain will come to end.

Hi, since 5yrs. You r having knee pain means something is wrong with you r knee. First of all you have to visit orthopaedic doctor to rule out what causing you the knee pain. Is it ligament injury. Tear. Capsule. Involved or not or something else at the same time continue with you r knee stregthning excs. Take care.

I used to go for jogging daily in the morning and run about 1500 metres but when I used to run by wearing shoes then my bones beneath my knees starts paining and it used to continue for over a week. so, please tell me what should I do? also I feel too much pain in my back I also have headache problem whenever I travel.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. for back-Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I belong 2 defence service. An arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery has already been done in my left knee. It usually takes around 6 - 9 months to get back to routine. You have to undergo proper physiotherapy before you can go to your routine. Closed chain exercises helps. Once your knee feels stable after this then you can pretty much do what you want including running and jogging.

Hello. Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Management: Walk is the best exercise to avoid joints pain, keep yourself mobile and active, but don't over-exert yourself so that your joint pains will get worse.

Dear lybrate-user. The crackling of sound may be of various reasons. Some of the reasons may be related with biomechanical issues or with dereased synovial space. If the crackling sound does not cause any pain or discomfort, then you should not be worried. Its natural and absolutely normal.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hello lybrate-user knee is complex joint and it's a main weight bearing joint of body among ankle and hip. Whenever you have put on some weight more than actual bmi knee joint became more stressful. Firstly you have to start light activities of knee joint within comfort level. Then followed by walk. Be careful about your diet also. Take plenty of water.

For calcium deficiencies you need to give her calcium supplements. Also check her vitamin d level. For knee arthritis pain a heating pad or cold pack can feel really good on achy joints. Use whichever one feels better unless you have an injury, in which case cold is best for the first couple of days. You can apply cold or heat several times a day. Just remember to cover the cold pack with a towel and keep your heating pad at a low setting to avoid burning your skin. Whether you use heat or cold, remove it after 20 to 30 minutes. Physical activity is essential for people with osteoarthritis, whether it means walking around your apartment. Activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities you should avoid until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting see a physiotherapist for stretching and strengthening exercises of leg muscles. You can take homoeopathic medicine bryonia alba 30-5 pills 3 times daily for 2 weeks. Avoid sitting in squatting position. Avoid using Indian toilets, use western style toilets. Do knee exercises daily. Reduce weight. Revert back after 2 weeks with feedback.

My age is 65 years and I have been treated for rheumatoid and taking nicosia tab 120mg daily and medrol 16mg once a week. But if I sit on chair for 2hours or more I get pain in my back. Please advise me.

Well, for rheumatoid nucoxia and medrol are not the good options. Considering your age it can have an impact on the kidneys. If it is rheumatoid you will have to take proper treatment for it like folitrax (methotrexate). Kindly consult a rheumatologist around you. Backpain is not a symptom of rheumatoid arthritis. So it has to be looked into. Regards.
