Dear lybrate-user Glaucoma medications needs to taken life long usually with regular follow up with your eye specialist. I can only give you virtual consultation on the basis of scenario you have described. Tooth problem has nothing to do with Anti glaucoma eye drops and bitter taste in throat is normal as it shows tear ducts are patent. Thyroid and diabetes needs to controlled by medications prescribed by Physician.

Calcium is one of your best friends when it comes to preventing tooth decay. This is especially true for growing children and those with dental issues. Dairy products ? be it milk, cheese, or yogurt ? are all good sources of calcium. The best part is, even skimmed milk or low-fat yogurt are as effective.

Other sources include almonds, broccoli, canned fish with bones, Brazil nuts, bok choy, and dried beans.

Fiber in Fruits and Veggies.

I have yellowish on my teeth so wht can I do to remove dat yellowish from my teeth.
The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

I have oral problem. When I brush my teeth every day I got bleeding. What can I do?
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Sharp pain in the tooth suggests a diagnosis of pulpitis which means the pulp tissue in the tooth is inflammed. Please get yourself checked by a dentist and you may probably need to get a root canal done in that tooth. However, if there is no cavity in the tooth, this could be due to sensitivity and a sensitivity toothpaste could be of great help to you.

Can a Root Canal Actually Be Painless? Shocking Facts Revealed

How scared are you of root canals? what if we tell you. You no longer need to be?
Root canals are easily one of the most dreaded treatments in the world. I have seen patients compare the anxiety they feel before a root canal to things like open heart surgery and labour. The last thing you want to hear on a dental chair is the diagnosis that you need a root canal. The horror stories surrounding this dental treatment range from gruesome to excruciating.

This article is an attempt to dispel the mystery and pain associated with root canals and show you how far we have come from the horrors to the sophistication of the latest technology.

From painful to pleasing

What are root canals really?
In its simplest sense a root canal is a deep filling done by cleaning the infection from the third and innermost layer of the tooth which is made up of nerves and blood vessels.

Our tooth is made up of 3 layers the first 2 are hard and confined layers called enamel and dentin when decay affects these it is very slow to spread and easy to remove and fill within one short session.

The third layer may take 1-3 sessions to clean as the infection may have spread or collected in the supporting tooth structures.

Why are root canals considered painful?

The 3rd layer of our tooth is a nerve chamber containing soft nerves and blood vessels in communication with the rest of our body.

This is the place that communicates pain to our brain and this is why when decay or bacteria hit this soft deeper layer we experience sharp shooting pain.

Top 3 reasons why root canals used to be painful

Improper or inadequate anesthesia to numb the inflamed nerve
Mechanical instrumentation to manually pull out the nerve which we now dissolve and clean with automated machines
Lack of the right medications to use within the tooth.

What happens to root canal infections if left untreated?
If this pain is suppressed with medication and not treated it can lead to an infection spreading within the bone which may later lead to a swelling with pus etc.

If this infection is left within it can eat into the supporting bone and eventually infect or affect the adjacent teeth as well.

I suffers from mouth ulcers at regular basis kindly suggest me what I have to do or suggest me a medicine for the same.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I suffers from mouth ulcers at regular basis kindly suggest me what I have to do or suggest me a medicine for the same.
If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.
