For improved stamina, 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs interval instead of 3-4 large meals only. Have balanced meals comprising of whole grains (atta/brown rice/dalia/suji/oats/quinoa/barley/millets), whole legumes (sprouts/rajma/soyabean), fruits, vegetables, salads, dairy (milk/curd/channa), egg/fish/chicken. In between main meals have healthy snacks like coconut water, whole fruits, dal chila, dhokla, khandvi, nuts & seeds, steamed momos, soup, stew, makhana, roasted chana. 2. Keep yourself well hydrated- 2-3 litres water intake /day 3. Avoid junk, processed, preserved, fried, sugary foods & drinks, alcohol, smoking. 4. Exercise regularly & be active-take stairs & walk/cycle as much as possible. 5. Try sleeping & waking up early. Have a regular sound sleep 6. Have a positive approach towards life.

1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. Life-style correction 1) correct your sitting posture. 2) take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) foot should rest to floor easily. 4) take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) do neck & upper back extension, give feedback after 4 days. Headache = 1) massage with stress relief oil or warm coconut oil to head, neck, and ears. 2) apply chandan powder +2-4 saffron threads+ pinch of cinnamon (dalchini) lep with rose water to forehead. 3) take 8 hrs sleep in the night. 4) avoid oily & spicy food. 5) pour 3-4 drops of warm pure cow ghee in both nostrils in head low position 6) do eye check up if headache persist attach x ray report.

Dear lybrate user. You have to convince him about why failing exams never is an end to the journey but it is just a beginning. There will be many exams in the future (including life related exams) and passing in every one of them is impossible. Take him for a psychological counseling. Take care.

Understanding Dissociative Amnesia

In many cases, the body responds to a stressful or traumatic situation by disassociating with it. This can result in the development of a dissociative disorder. A dissociative disorder or dissociative amnesia is a mental illness that involves the breaking down of memory, consciousness, identity and perception. It can interfere with a person's general functioning, social life and relationships. People suffering from dissociative amnesia can have long gaps in their memory of the accident and the time before and after it.

Women are at a higher risk of suffering from this condition as compared to men. It has also been found to have a genetic link as people suffering from this condition often have other members of their family who experience something similar. Manmade and natural disasters such as wars, floods, earthquakes etc that cause overwhelming stress is said to trigger this disease.

The inability to recall past events is a primary symptom of this disease. Other symptoms include
- depression or anxiety
- inability to remember personal information
- substance abuse
- mood swings
- sexual dysfunction
- panic attacks
- obsessive compulsive symptoms
- hallucinations and
- social withdrawal

Treatment for this disease is a two step process. The first step involves relieving symptoms and controlling any behavioral changes. The second step aims at helping the person to recall and process their memories. Developing coping skills and rebuilding relationships is also focused on. Depending on the individual and the severity of symptoms showcased a doctor may choose to treat the patient using any of the following forms of treatment.

Psychotherapy: this form of treatment is designed to encourage communication and give the person insight into their problems. It uses a number of psychological techniques.

Cognitive therapy: changing dysfunctional thinking patterns and their resulting emotions and behavior patterns is the focus of this form of treatment.

Medication: dissociative amnesia patients who also suffer from depression or anxiety can benefit from medication such as anti depressants and anti anxiety drugs. However, this medication does not treat the dissociative amnesia itself.

Family therapy: in some cases, along with the patient it is also necessary to counsel the family. Family therapy involves educating the family members about the disorder and symptoms of recurrence.

Clinical hypnosis: this type of treatment uses intense relaxation and focused attention techniques to access the unconscious part of the mind and allow people to explore their thoughts, emotions and repressed memories.

Hello lybrate user- oily skin and pimples spots in this age suggest of improper liver functioning which happens due improper food intake and schedule. Try these ayurvedic medicines- 1) tab arogyawardhini vati 1 tab twice daily. 2) maha manjisthadi kadha 2 tsp twice daily. 3) khadira rishta 2 tsp twice daily with water. 4) avoid spicy, sour, salty foods, fast foods, fried foods and non-vegetarian diet. 5) go to bed before 10 pm and wake up before 6: 30 am and go for running. Your problem will be solved in few weeks.

The first thing you have to do is to develop a positive attitude towards your goal. You need to understand that transforming your physique is going to take a lot of time. These things don't work that easily. It's going to take a lot of hard work and consistency 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: Monday/Thursday: Chest + Triceps Tuesday/Friday: Back + Biceps Wednesday/Saturday: Legs + Shoulders Don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc. 2. Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

1. Lose weight. 2. Cut the sugar. 3. Stock up on fiber. Instead of consuming sugar and other refined carbohydrates, focus on more fiber-rich foods, such as vegetables, fruits and whole grains. 5. Eat a moderately low-fat diet. 6. Watch the type of fat you eat. Cut back on saturated fats, which are found in red meat, poultry fat, butter, cheese, milk, and coconut and palm oils, and keep trans fats, found in shortening and stick margarine, to a minimum. Replace trans fats with healthier polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. 7. Add omega-3 fatty acids. 8. Exercise. 9. Limit alcohol. 10. Take triglyceride-lowering drugs.
