Hello Lybrate user,  Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced Stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid Cruntches or Sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to Slip Disc. Always maintain a healthy Lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: Try to avoid pain killers (Analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with Side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay Healthy. Stay Happy God bless you.

Many times she has suvical pain in her neck and shoulder. Even she doesn't take pillow while sleeping. What are the more prescriptions for her?

Dear Lybrate user it might be due to long duration poor posture as watching TV in a posture constantly for hours, working on Laptop/ Desktop in a posture for hours which may cause sustained contractions of muscle. Break the cycle in every half an hour change the posture. Do neck exercises warm foamentation.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. Hello lybrate user do regular stretching exercises of legs and back with best advice of well experienced physiotherapist. Hot formentation before exs yo relax the muscle. Add high fiber diet in schedule and fresh fruit juice too.

When I am lifting wait some time I feel pain in my wrist joint. What may be the reason? & what should I do.

Hii lybrate-user. The cause of your wrist pain may be an underlying ganglion in the wrist extensor tendons. Or weakness due to previous injury due to lifting weights. Use a wrist brace. Throughout the day. Can be removed at night. Hot fomentation. Nd avoid lifting weights for atleast three weeks.

Hi, since your taking us for 6 session and there is no relief I would like to tell u dat d origin of the pain can b something else. In any orthopedic conditions der can be problem in one part of your body and referred pain to some other part of your body which is very common in heel and wrist. I wud like to tell u to visit any McKenzie therapist in your area to find d root cause of the pain. Once d root cause is found out your prob can get solved completely.

Please tell me are you on regular treatment with thyroxine tablets for hypothyroidism or have discontinued the treatment on your own? high tsh levels signify that thyroid gland is not functioning adequately, not producing thyroxine hormone and hence anterior pituitary produces more tsh to stimulate thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism affects all the metabolic activities adversely. Can only be corrected by proper replacement of thyroxine.

Dear lybrate-user. Kindly check your mattress it might be culprit. In day time kindly improve your sitting posture. Avoid slouching or sitting without back support for long duration. Avoid long hours of continuous sitting. Take break after every 1 hour & move around. Take proper diet/milk & do 10 minutes of back strengthening ex's.
