Hi, I am suffering from high bp and anxiety. Some times I feel like dizzy and body shaking. I can not sleep enough what can I do.

We have good homeopathic medicine for high BP and anxiety. But for that we need your detailed case taking. For good sleep, just try out these simple ways - 1. Stick to a sleep schedule- Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle. If you don't fall asleep within about 20 minutes, leave your bedroom and do something relaxing. Read or listen to soothing music. Go back to bed when you're tired. Repeat as needed. 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink - Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. In particular, avoid heavy or large meals within a couple of hours of bedtime. Your discomfort might keep you up. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. 3. Create a restful environment - Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs. Doing calming activities before bedtime, such as taking a bath or using relaxation techniques, might promote better sleep. 4. Limit daytime naps - Long daytime naps can interfere with nighttime sleep. If you choose to nap, limit yourself to up to 30 minutes and avoid doing so late in the day. 5. Include physical activity in your daily routine - Regular physical activity can promote better sleep 6. Manage worries - Try to resolve your worries or concerns before bedtime. Stress management might help. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Meditation also can ease anxiety. Identifying and treating any underlying causes can help you get the better sleep you deserve. If above things doesn't help you, then consult us for homeopathic medicines.

I'm suffering from severe AS and mod. AR, Hyperthyroidism. What should I do? Does valve replacement is necessary at once?

Hyperthyroidism will cause Tachycardia or fast heart rate. This condition combined with Severe AS /Mod AR will cause further deterioration of cardiac functions due to the inability of your heart to deal fast heart rate. Since you have only aortic valve abnormalities - it would be recommended for you to get a valve replacement as early as possible.

Hi lybrate-user, if you are taking anti hypertensive medicines and still have high bp, you should not do very rigorous exercises. First get your bp under control with medications and then you may take up exercise as a measure to maintain it at normal levels along with medications.

Sir Can I Give Telday Ch 40 instead Sartel 40 To Patient. Patient Is Suffer From Heart And Blood pressure.

MBBS, Dip.Cardiology, Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology(FICC), Fellowship in Echocardiology
Cardiologist, Ghaziabad
Sir Can I Give Telday Ch 40 instead Sartel 40 To Patient. Patient Is Suffer From Heart And Blood pressure.
No telday ch has some extra Medicines as compared to sartel. So either keep taking your old medication or talk to your doctor You need to understand about high blood pressure.  Normal range of blood pressure is between 90/60 to 140/90, anything above or below is is abnormal. Many factors can affect blood pressure, including: 1) The amount of water and salt you have in your body 2) The condition of your kidneys, nervous system, or blood vessels 3) Your hormone levels 4) your lifestyle - smoking, drinking, exercise  Stress, less sleep, smoking, alcohol, overweight, heart, kidney problems, lack of physical exercise. All of these can cause High blood pressure. You are more likely to be told your blood pressure is too high as you get older. This is because your blood vessels become stiffer as you age. When that happens, your blood pressure goes up.  Highblood pressure increases your chance of having a stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney disease, or early death. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. DASH lowers high blood pressure and improves levels of cholesterol. This reduces your risk of getting heart disease.  The DASH Diet Emphasizes vegetables, fruits, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products. Includes whole grains, fish, poultry, beans, seeds, nuts, and vegetable oils. Limits sodium, sweets, sugary beverages, and red meats. Along with this, other lifestyle changes can help lower your blood pressure. They include staying at a healthy weight, exercising, and not smoking. My advice to you would be 1) Keep a BP daily record for at least one week & Every time you need to measure BP twice with a gap of 15 mins 2) Basic tests should be one to rule out cardiac / kidney issues 3) unless any recent evaluation has been done I would advice these test ECG ECHO Lipid Profile TSH KFT  Renal doppler  Get back to me with a detailed history and  old / new records for a better individualized advice.

Take 1 spoon of fenugreek powder or triphala choorna everyday in the night with half glass of water. In the morning empty stomach, take half teaspoon of jeera and coriander seed powder with water. Instead of tea and coffee, you can take milk with half spoon of turmeric powder regularly. Check your cholesterol after one month of following these measures. There will be good improvement.

You are wrong. Your doctor has given you the best and safest medicines for bp. No side effects like you fear. Continue taking medicines. Reduce salt to bare minimum. Reduce weight by healthy dieting, lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits. No bad fats like street food. No sugar despite no diabetes. Your job is sitting for 10 to 15 hrs, means lots of cups of tea, coffee, snacks. Carry your own ors from home in the form of juice of a lemon in 1 liter water with a pinch of salt and sugar. Green tea minus sugar or additives. Walk around the office during break. Use stairs in place of lift. Reduce weight slowly @4 kg per month. Eat more proteins like milk and curds. All of supplements of your choice. Dry roasted chane plus assorted nuts is a filling snack that gives healthy fats and proteins also, so does a boiled egg. But one full meal of daal roti chawal once a day in evenings only. Get back with positive feedback. Reminder do not stop medicines for bp and do get other cardiac profile tests also.

1) The cause of your BP seems your anxiety and the most important bit is to address that by consulting a psychiatrist. Reducing this anxiety is going to reduce the BP automatically. This experimentation with medications is not going to solve the problem. And please understand each patient has a different response to different medication, which is best judged by the treating cardiologist, so kindly consult a cardiologist and follow their advice 2) Please do not measure your BP too frequently once in a fortnight by a doctor is enough. 3) Begin with daily 40 mins of exercise, diet modification for BP control detailed diet plan suggested by a dietitian, quit smoking and drinking, if you are overweight focus on weight loss with diet and exercise plan, check your BP levels after 6 weeks of following these precautions daily and working on your anxiety reduction, if it is still high consult a cardiologist for prescription of anti-hypertensive and then follow up with them.
