It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250 mg od & sos x 5 days. Caldikind plus 1 tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform.

I felt back pain while playing football and I can, t play daily because of this pain give a solution.
Any athlete who places stress on the spine is vulnerable to a back strain. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: rest your back for 24-48 hours, but do not stay completely immobile; limited, mild movement is better than bed rest. Apply ice packs for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day for the first 48-72 hours. Apply moist heat after the first 48-72 hours if it makes you more comfortable. Aspirin, ibuprofen may relieve pain and reduce inflammation. If you sleep on your side, place a pillow between your knees. If you sleep on your back, place a pillow under your knees. Avoid sitting in one position for long periods of time. Get up and stretch every 20-25 minutes. Execute each movement required in your sport, gradually increasing the speed of movement, before returning to normal training and competition. Use a lower back support to keep the pressure distributed evenly on the muscles of the lower back. When lifting heavy objects, keep your back as straight as possible and use your legs. Do not bend at the waist. Avoid slouching when sitting. See a doctor immediately if the pain is intense, spreads down one or both legs, causes weakness or numbness, or follows a fall or a blow to your back.

It could be due to cervical spondilosys this is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days do neck & back (spine) exercises use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you will need other supportive medicines also. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am suffering from bit. D deficiency from last two years and have back pain and sexually weak. What can we do.

MBBS, Diploma In Orthopaedics (D. Ortho)

I am suffering from bit. D deficiency from last two years and have back pain and sexually weak. What can we do.
Vitamin D deficiency also has calcium deficiency accompanying. Get serum levels tested for both. An x-ray spine or Dexa scan for T score will give more clue whether backache is due to osteoporosis or not, also x-ray will provide whether osteoarthritis is also present. Consult a physician, you may require vitamin d3 and calcium supplements. If you write to me above tests reports, being orthopaedic specialist, I could advise specific medications if needed for osteoporosis or osteoarthritis as the case maybe. Sexual weakness is usually due to physical weakness, deficiency of hormones or undue mental stress. All this can be taken care of by a physician or by me after tests advised. Androgen meds help for both bone mineralization and sexual weakness if any.

Hi sir, am 42years old lady from Bangalore, due to this hot weather I had started to go with cold water for drinking,...
Hello Ms. Lybrate-user. I understand it is unbearably hot! unfortunately when we start drinking cold water, we catch these colds. Kindly avoid drinking very cold water. Use pot water instead. Cold water bath is ok but only after sunset. The problem is extremes of temperatures usually make us land up with colds. Taking watery fruits is ok but, only little cooler than room temp. Not very cold. Steam inhalation will help you recover from your cold. Hope this helps.

I am having pain at leg (calf and shin) from more than a week. Whenever I walk more than 200 meters, pain stats to grow.

I am having pain at leg (calf and shin) from more than a week. Whenever I walk more than 200 meters, pain stats to grow.
Wall calf stretch Stand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for the 10 sec with repetition of 3 times. Leg Pain If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. Pain in the back while walking and standing Pain in the right legIf you have leg pain please check your body weight and your hemoglobin levels, as Anemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chapels which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the If you have back pain while walking and standing first of all check your weight and your hemoglobin levels, as Anemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chapels which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the back. And also should check whether you have flat foot on the right leg that also might be the reason to have pain in one particular leg Pain in the left side of the leg/thighThe compression of the sciatic nerve should be around the right side that's the reason you have pain in the left side. That's the reason you cannot sit or stand and it is exactly around the L5 vertebrae where the sciatic nerve passes by.
