I was in shok due to sudden death of my mother in law after successful double bypass within 15 days, Dr. said reason ...
Hi. Sad to hear about the incidence. Here I would like to say that bypass surgery is a very big and serious surgery. Yes, it is performed on many many patients everyday, and most of the patients recover from the surgery very well. But like any other major surgery, there is around 1% risk of serious outcomes of this surgery, like death or paralysis. To find out the exact cause of sudden demise when one is recovering well from the surgery is very difficult to comment. But the most common reasons are thromboembolism of lungs artery, serious cardiac rhythm abnormality (arrythmias), and unknown cause. Take care.

You sound like you could be in an unhealthy symbiosis with your parents and therefore the high level of fear in their absence. This may have contributed to the breakup with your last girlfriend. Your fear is now too much that your imagination is running wild and suggesting all kinds of possibilities to actually seem like you are suffering from a heart problem. You need to break the bonds with your parents and learn to be independent. You must meet with a counselor and work out your dependency needs. In the meantime, you could also attend a good personality development course, socializing course, attend a gym regularly and learn a lot of skills in relating to other people. You need to develop self-confidence and self-esteem too.

Hi, Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps out blood. Hypotension is generally considered if systolic blood pressure less than 90 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) or diastolic less than 60 mm Hg. However, in practice, blood pressure is considered too low only if noticeable symptoms are present. Causes: Low blood pressure can be caused by low blood volume, hormonal changes, widening of blood vessels, medicine side effects, anemia, heart problems or endocrine problems. Management: Meditation, yoga, or other mental-physiological disciplines may reduce hypotensive effects. Taking enough of sleep and rest. Treatment: The treatment for hypotension depends on its cause. Chronic hypotension rarely exists as more than a symptom. Asymptomatic hypotension in healthy people usually does not require treatment. Adding electrolytes to a diet can relieve symptoms of mild hypotension. A morning dose of caffeine can also be effective. In mild cases, where the patient is still responsive, laying the person in dorsal decubitus (lying on the back) position and lifting the legs increases venous return, thus making more blood available to critical organs in the chest and head. Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Angioton/ 3 times a day for 1 month.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Your problem is due to GERD - follow some dietary precautions: - chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, have 4-5 small meals rather than three large ones, do not lye down for at least 1-2 hrs after meals, at night raise your pillow end by 4-6 inches while sleeping, have dinner 3-4 hrs before bedtime - avoid spicy, sour, fried & junk food - take syrup Gelusil, 2 teaspoonful half an hour after meals three times a day - have 7-8 glasses of water per day - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, also do yoga & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily morning to improve your problem.

Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels. For increased serum cholesterol: High blood cholesterol is treated with lifestyle changes and medicines. There are few risk factors: Cigarette smoking High blood pressure (140/90 mmHg or higher), or you’re on medicine to treat high blood pressure Low high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (less than 40 mg/dL) Family history of early heart disease (heart disease in father or brother before age 55; heart disease in mother or sister before age 65) Age (men 45 years or older; women 55 years or older) Food to be avoided: -Saturated fat which is found in some meats, dairy products, chocolate, baked goods, and deep-fried and processed foods. -You also should try to limit the amount of sodium (salt) that you eat. -Try to limit drinks with alcohol. Too much alcohol will raise your blood pressure and triglyceride level. Food to be taken: -Whole-grain cereals such as oatmeal and oat bran -Fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, pears, and prunes -Legumes such as kidney beans, lentils, chick peas, black-eyed peas, and lima beans -A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can increase important cholesterol-lowering compounds in your diet. -A healthy diet also includes some types of fish, such as salmon, tuna (canned or fresh), and mackerel. These fish are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. These acids may help protect the heart from blood clots and inflammation and reduce the risk of heart attack. Try to have about two fish meals every week. If you’re overweight or obese, losing weight can help lower LDL cholesterol. Routine physical activity can lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and raise your HDL cholesterol level. Medication: Cholesterinum 30/ thrice daily for 4 weeks.
