What is the reason for one sided severe headache and what should be the precautions to be taken to control it?

What is the reason for one sided severe headache and what should be the precautions to be taken to control it?
It could be migraine. Using an ice pack is perhaps the most popular home remedy to get rid of tension as well as migraine headaches. It has a numbing effect that alleviates pain. Wrap a few ice cubes in a clean towel and place it on your temples, forehead and/or the back of your neck for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat as needed. You can also try alternating hot and cold compresses for about 15 minutes, as needed. For better results, add lavender and/or peppermint essential oils to the water for the compress. Also take belladonna 30 - one dose at the time of headache.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your chronic cold could be due to allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis or allergy to dust, pollen, smoke - do steam inhalation three times a day - avoid the allergens, cold fluids & dust - get your blood CBC & x- ray chest done, consult a doctor.

I have serious anxiety issues and my heart rate is 90-100 normally. And I can't tolerate heat due to which I sweat much more. For the past 3-4 months I am not able to sleep well. I wake up after every 2-3 hours and it's hard for me to sleep no matter how tired I am. I have done Vitamin B12 test and thyroid tests. Vitamin B12 is 121 pg/ml which is well below normal range. And my T3 and T4 are in normal range but my TSH is 6.3 mCu/ml. The symptoms are of hyperthyroidism but that's not the case I am assuming. My physique is very good and I don't have fatigue or muscle weakness. I do have 2 head injuries on my forehead since I was 12-13 years and I think these injuries have affected my brain chemistry making me more anxious and that's how all these other symptoms came. What could be the case? What can I do about it?

General Physician,
your heart is increased (tachycardia) may be due to stress ,strain, anxiety neurosis. which is a temporary in nature it seems you are basically a worried type of personality you have to change your personality and lifestyle. have regular balanced diet with lots of leafy vegetables, cereals, fruits have lean meat like chicken instead of red meat if you drink alcohol drink it in moderation. go for regular morning walk followed by free hand exercises. things will change have lots of water by mouth..

This burning problem of yours is acidity. Don't keep the stomach empty for longer duration. Hydrochloric secreted in the empty stomach causes irritation. Have cd milk intermittently acid gets neutralised by milk so you should have plenty of milk daily with regular interval ok? sometimes you can have some antacid tab like gelusil or omeprazole. If still persist consult a gastro-enterologist nearby.

Left lower quadrant abdomen paining since one week in some times very few times, before breakfast and lunch or dinner? Please suggest medicine

Medicines need proper prescription signed by a physician. It is not a medical shop where you can get advice for self medication like general chemist shop do in india. You please get a ultrasound abdomen and stool test done and meet a doctor for getting your prescription as it may needs antimicrobials also.

Yes, it;s an addiction. To get rid of addiction, the standard and most successful method is stop it abruptly. You will have difficulty to sleep. So take a brisk walk for 20 min or a hot water bath to induce sleep. Within a week, you will get de-addicted. Alternately, you can reduce the amount day by day. But it's not very effective method.

Please take an opinion of a doctor. Some tests may be suggested to rule out any problem related to heart or any other important organ. Some basic tests are: CBC, ESR, Blood sugar, ECG, urine routine etc. Further tests depends on the result of prilimnary tests. It is important also to regularly check the thyroid levels. Let proper balanced diet and daily exercise become part of you routine. Please revert after the visit to the doctor. Later you can also add Homeopathy which can help you balance your health naturally. You can contact me along with the reports for further clarification.

I am 70 years old. I am recently observing acidic smell after passing urine at first time in the morning, no burning sensation. No color. While walking some times I am getting burning sensation in lower part of the feet so I got blood tested and found sugar first time earlier it was normal at free and post lunch. I was learning car driving and under went some tension. I thought that may be the reason (stress diabetes)

Sir, it is better if you get a detailed blood test for diabetes, which includes fasting, after food sugar levels, hba1c% and lipid profile and also routine urine examination and inform the results. With those details I can guide appropriately. If diabetes is present whatever type it may be, treatment has to be started. I await your details.
