Testosterone means. For penis erection testosterone should be there. How much normal it should be. Low & high & normal testosterone should be how much.

MS sexuality, M.Phil Clinical Psychology, PhD (behaviour modification), Certified in Treatment of Resistant Depression
Sexologist, Hyderabad
In healthy men, normal testosterone levels generally range between 300 ng/dL and 1050 ng/dL. Unfortunately, levels decline with aging and may fall below the normal range. Typically, a test for total testosterone is used for diagnosis. The total testosterone test measures testosterone that is bound to proteins in the blood (e.g. Albumin and sex-hormone binding globulin [SHBG]) as well as testosterone that is not bound (free testosterone) to know more you can consult me online via Lybrate for in depth information and to clarify or address any other sexual health issues that you might be facing. Thank you.

Hi, From last one and half years I never had strong erections. I am having Oly weak erections. After having ejaculation my penis starts paining continuously for hours. My penis is bent left side from past few months. I have PE in few seconds I ejaculate.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Jodhpur
Excessive of anything is bad same applies with masterbation. 2 things happen when one masterbate excessively 1. Premature ejaculation you can correlate when you started mastrrbation what was time and check current timing. You will find time to ejaculate might hv reduced significantly. Some people even ejaculate while rubbing in bed 2. Second problem is weak erection. Over a period you will feel lesser or weaker erections. One may feel shrinking penis due to this. consult to cure side effects of excessive masterbation. results within 10 days once you start treatment..

Herpes - Am I At Risk?

MBBS .DGO.DA.(Trained in Andrology)
Gynaecologist, Ernakulam
Herpes - Am I At Risk?

Herpes is one of the most common STD of present times. Sometimes, there are people who are infected, but do not have any symptoms and can spread the infection to their partners. Genital herpes infection can be caused by two strains of virus, HSV1 or HSV2 (HSV for herpes simplex virus). It is spread by direct contact, from the site of infection to the site of contact. The infection usually presents as a sore (vaginal, anal or oral areas) and the fluid in these lesions contains the virus. When another person comes in contact with these sores (any region), then the infection spreads. This spread could be from any one contact area to another contact area.

When herpes is transmitted from people who are infected with the virus, but have no obvious symptoms, these are usually called prodromal symptoms, which include itching or tingling in the area of contact. The virus can spread from this area to the other person, and this form of transmission is known as “virus shedding.”

The infection can spread even during these initial stages until the sores are formed, to the time when they are completely healed and the skin looks normal again. Any sexual contact (vaginal, oral, or anal) can be risky and lead to the partner getting affected (75% chances of infection).

Asymptomatic transmission is also possible wherein the infection spreads when there are no symptoms in the infected person. In some people, the virus remains dormant for years together, but these people continue to shed the virus and are capable of infecting. This is more common with HSV2 strains than HSV1.

Pregnancy is another tricky situation where the infant can get infected through the mother. If there are traces of the virus in the vaginal tract, then it is safer to not have a vaginal delivery, else there are higher chances of the infant getting infected.

Newborns and/or babies can also get infected when someone who is infected kisses the baby. Given that their immunity is low, the chances of developing an infection are quite high. It has also been suggested that having cold sores puts a person at higher risk of developing HIV, though this remains to be proven.

Listed below are some ways to prevent or lower the chances of getting infected with the herpes virus.

  1. The most effective way to avoid STDs is to not have vaginal, anal or oral sex with a person who is likely to be infected.
  2. Get involved in long-term, monogamous relationship with a person who has been tested negative.
  3. With every sexual interaction, use latex condoms in the right manner. However, please note that condoms may not offer full protection from getting infected. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

Hi. I did masturbation since 3 years. I masturbate one time in a day. Today I looked old. What I can do to looked like young.

PG Diploma in Emergency Medicine Services (PGDEMS), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), MD - Alternate Medicine
Ayurveda, Ghaziabad
1. Masturbation is a natural habit in both the genders during their life time. Continuous masturbation in men will certainly leads to unwanted curvature of penis and in women clitoris looses its sensitivity due to rough use of their fingers on clitoris. 2. Later they may not get normal pleasure or orgasm in intercourse (thrust of penis) after their marriage. 3. Masturbation once a week is fine but do not make it your habit.

I have a headache and now a days I am not getting a proper sleep how can I get rid of this issue what should I do to get rid from this issue.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Head ache can be of many reasons and the commonest is visual refractive error of eyes, Checking eyes and correcting errors can cure headaches, similarly the cause can be migraine and tension. Tension relieving methods and migraine medication can sure these. This includes the blood vessels, muscles and nerves of the head and neck. They may also result from changes in chemical activity in the brain. Primary headaches can occur when pain-sensitive structures in the head do not work properly. Common primary headaches include migraines, cluster headaches and tension headaches. Headache is a broad term that encompasses many different things. Headaches are pains that occur in any region of the head; they can occur on both sides the head or be isolated to a certain location. Headaches can radiate across the head from a central point or have a pincering vise-like quality. They can be sharp, throbbing or dull, appear gradually or suddenly and last for multiple days or less than an hour.4 There are multiple ways to define headaches. The International Headache Society (IHS) categorize headaches as primary headaches or secondary headaches, depending on what has caused them 1) Primary headaches Primary headaches are stand-alone illnesses caused directly by the overactivity of, or problems with, structures in the head that are pain-sensitive. This includes the blood vessels, muscles and nerves of the head and neck. They may also result from changes in chemical activity in the brain. Primary headaches can occur when pain-sensitive structures in the head do not work properly. Common primary headaches include migraines, cluster headaches and tension headaches. Some types of headache can be both primary and secondary as they may be an isolated issue or a result of another condition or illness. Such headaches can involve:  Direct physical stimuli, such as temperature and external pressure  Pain over the scalp (epicranial)  Physical exertion  Other miscellaneous headaches. 2) Secondary headaches Secondary headaches are headaches that are symptoms of another condition that stimulates the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. There are a vast number of different conditions that can cause secondary headaches, ranging in severity from an alcohol-induced hangover to a brain tumor. Check your eye first and inform me Secondary headaches can be the result of serious conditions such as stroke, but can equally be a consequence of eating cold food too quickly. In addition to those two examples, the following list should serve to illustrate the variety of different conditions that can cause secondary headaches:  Blood clots  Brain freeze (ice cream headaches)  Carbon monoxide poisoning  Concussion  Dehydration  Glaucoma  Influenza  Overuse of pain medication (rebound headaches)  Panic attacks  Stroke. As headaches can be a symptom of a serious condition, it is important to seek medical advice if headaches become more severe, regular or persistent. For example, if the headache is more painful and disruptive than previous headaches, worsens or fails to improve with medication or is accompanied by other symptoms such as confusion, fever, sensory changes and stiffness, a health care provider should be contacted.

Hi I am 24 years old. I usually do masturbate from last 10 years. Now I hav gf. 2 months before I try to sex with her but my pennis unable to hard. What is the reason? 2 month before I do masturbate 7-8 time weekly. Bt now days I unable to do masturbate also hardly 1 time in 20 days? What is the reason?

Since you were able to masturbate your problem appears to be due to stress / anxiety, so relax and do exercise. However to exclude other cause you need to do some blood tests like sugar and hormones. Stop smoking if you smoke. Check bp. If you are taking any medicine or nutritional supplement on regular basis then it may be due to side effect of that.
