Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Usually in winter people go through low mood, sometimes it can even be mild depression. I would suggest you consult a psychiatrist, to evaluate if it s usual low mood, dysthymia or a mild depression. If you don't feel these symptoms are not interfering with your daily routine, ignore. All the best.

Tk break between work and a soft pillow for back support. Do spine stretching exercise if it work then ok otherwise tk rest and physiotherapy treatment and avoid exercise.

Hi, Take tab. Shallaki 400 mg 1-2 tabs 3 times a day depending on the severity of the pain. Take Balarista 2tsf 3 times a day, mixed with equal quantity of water and Maharasnadi Khadha 2 tsf 3 times a day, mixed with equal quantity of water. Apply Rumalaya liniment to the affected joints and massage in circular motion for 10-15 mins and then take hot water fomentation. Avoid potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet pumpkin, peas, channa, recently harvested rice, jackfruit, etc. Which aggrevate the pain. You can even undergo physio- therapy for 10-15 days.

Lower Back Pain - Treatment And Care Procedures!

Back pain is a common source of pain, which can be acute, subacute or chronic in nature. Back pain is classified along the segments of the spine and can be divided into neck pain, middle back pain, lower-back pain or tailbone pain.

Lower back pain is a type of back pain, which affects the lower back portion of the body. It may occur from arthritis or due to sudden jerking during movement. Lower-back pain may cause serious discomfort and aching and may disable a person from moving about. It should be treated and cared for properly.

Here are several treatments and care procedures for lower-back pain:

  1. Take some rest: Most people who get lower-back pain get obsessed with it and end up getting MRI scans, x-rays done and take injections without recognizing the intensity of the pain. It is advised not to rush into the matter. A simple way to cure the pain is by resting. 90% of lower back pains resolve by themselves in 6 weeks and so you must give your back a break instead of taking medical action and give your back some to heal.
  2. Pills: Sometimes, a lower back pain can suddenly become severe. In this case, you should intake anti-inflammatory pills such as ibuprofen or naproxen. These pills will help you ease the pain. However, you should not take them for more than ten days at a stretch as continuous pill consumption can cause side effects.
  3. Hot & cold compress: Apply a bag of frozen peas or an ice pack to the affected area in your lower back for 48 hours after the pain appears. Every session should be about of 20 minutes and you should take several sessions each day. After two days, repeat the same procedure using a heat pad. The cooling procedure shuts down your blood capillaries, reducing the flow of blood to the affected area. The swelling is then eased. The heating, on the other hand, loosens tight muscles and helps to increase blood circulation.
  4. Replace your mattress: People who sleep on firm mattresses and cushions on their beds are at a higher risk of experiencing lower-back pain. If you sleep on a medium-firm mattress, your chances of getting lower-back pain are less. In case your mattress is sagging or is very old, you should replace it.
  5. Acupuncture: When your lower-back pain is very severe, you can take acupuncture injections, which provide efficient pain relief. The injections change the way your nerves react and inflammation gets reduced.

Lower-back pain is likely to cause great discomfort and trouble. You will be unable to carry out your daily chores because of the pain. Therefore, proper treatment and care are required for lower-back pain. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist and ask a free question.

I am 70 yrs young presently suffering from back pain whih radiates to rt hip. Earlier in 2010 I had severe attack of sciatica in lt leg which was treated with gepapentin 75 mg and mv plus physiotherapy ift and back exercises. Now the present problem started in 2010 and taking all type of treatment and physiotherapy no improvement. Mri show degeneration of disc. I use to feel pain in rt hip while waking but now it is there even while I sit. Consulted neouro surgeon as well as physio and took treatment as suggested but no improvement. Can you help me please.

Treatment at first includes regular ice, Do it for 20-30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours for 2 to 3 days, or until the pain is gone, together with reduced mileage or rest. Addressing the causes is likely to include ensuring that shoes have adequate cushioning and stability, and building up training mileage slowly. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers. Do range-of-motion exercises. To strengthen the muscles of the lower leg, place a weighted ring on your foot. Point your foot up, in and out 10 times; perform three sets. The pain usually subsides as fitness improves. Go to physiotherapist to identify and treat issues in your legs or running mechanics that may be causing pain. A therapist can also help ease the pain and guide your return to sport. Best wishes.

Kindly show me photograph& the x rays of the affected part.(left knee) rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. My mother is 77 years old she is having joint pains (arthrities) what should I do?

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days.

It will be better if you send me the xray of your spine alternatively avoid long sittings for not more than 20 min at a time. Take 1 min break after every 20 min. Do back lifting exercise.

I suffer from knee pain. Actually when I bend my knee I hear some noise and it is paining when I try to balance one side when ever I bend my knee I get pain n noise. I suffer from this pain for two years.

You are likely to have osteoarthritis of the knee joints. It is a condition where the cartilage layer is worn out exposing the underlying bone. When bone rubs on bone, there is crackling noise and you get pain. Eventually the knee stiffens up making it difficult to walk. To get rid of pain, do stretching and strengthening exercises for muscles around the knee joint. Eat green leafy vegetables and fruits. Walk daily. Take pain medicines if necessary.
