Leg pain can be due to various reasons. It can be due to tight muscles, referred pain from low back, vascular problems etc. Usually stretches for tight calf, hamstrings, quadriceps can help. Try hot or cold fermentation. Deep tissue massage can help relax tight muscles and reduce pain. Wish you speedy recovery.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Inform after 5 days.

You need to work on your rotator cuff musculature. Usually strengthening and stretching of the cuff and muscles around the shoulder helps. Once the endurance builds you wil not be experiencing any difficulty in throwing. Though thorough evaluation of shoulder and elbow is needed. I would recommend a visit to a sports physiotherapist nearby.

Treatment of Heel Spur Through Physiotherapy

BPTh/BPT, MPTh/MPT
Physiotherapist, Noida
Treatment of Heel Spur Through Physiotherapy

Heel spur occurs when there is a growth or a hook formation under the heel. This is formed by calcium deposits. This process is a long drawn process and it takes time for calcium deposits to cause a heel spur in a person. In fact, such a condition can also be triggered by a sprain or a tear in the ligament. Heel spurs are very common in athletes who regularly run, jog or kick using their heel strength a lot. Heel spurs can be treated with the help of physiotherapy. With sports injuries, the first form of treatment which is tried out is physiotherapy. Though it heals and is very much treatable, the healing period might be a long one and the process might be painful for some.

Symptoms of a Heel Spur:

Interestingly, the excessive calcium growth itself does not cause any pain in the individual suffering from this disease. It is in fact, the inflammation caused in the muscle due to the heel spur, which makes a person experience tremendous pain during this period. One also feels constant irritation along with pain. It has been noticed that the pain is not constant, but rather irregular. It might pain in the morning and subside throughout the day, if less stress is put on the heel. Then again, it might increase when you walk, run or jog for a long time.

Treatments For Heel Spur:

To treat a heel spur, the specific cause and origins need to be known to the medical practitioners of the physiotherapists. Also, if medicines need to be prescribed, then a medical history of the patient including any specific long-term medications or allergies are taken special note of. Most importantly, an X-Ray is taken to rule out all other forms of diseases and to confirm that it is indeed a heel spur.

After properly confirming the cause and the disease, specific treatment is started on the individual. Treatments would include reducing the inflammation to reduce pain, strapping of the heel to reduce movement and pressure, thereby giving time to heal and even prolonged periods of rest with exercises. Insoles are also tried out to provide relief to the heels and make the extra growth diminish its presence. Slow mobilisation of the patient is an absolute must, but care is taken that it does not cause too much stress on the feet.

I have a shoulder dislocation problem which is recurring for every 2 to 3 years. What the preventive action shall be taken in order to avoid?

DNB (Orthopedics), Diploma In Orthopaedics (D. Ortho), MBBS
Orthopedist, Chennai
You need the help of a good physiotherapist to strengthen and stretch the muscles around your shoulder joint. This should help prevent the repeat dislocations. Sometimes, the tissue around your shoulder joint becomes lax due to the repetitive nature of the injury. In such situations, arthroscopic (keyhole) repair or even open repair of the lax tissue can help stabilize the shoulder joint and prevent repeated dislocations.

I have a back pain at night every day in night I have use pain killer what can do for it.

BHMS
Homeopath, Bhopal
I have a back pain at night every day in night I have use pain killer what can do for it.
Back pain can result from bad posture, a sudden jerky movement, a lumpy mattress or poor lifting techniques. It can also be caused by injury in a work place, by a sports accident or by muscular spasms. It often occurs during pregnancy or, because of decreased flexibility, as people get older. There are also many diseases and pathological conditions that can lead to back pain. These include abdominal or pelvic disease, anxiety, arthritis, cervical or lumbar spondylosis, dermatological problems, kidney disease, rheumatic conditions, tumours and scoliosis. Our modern, sedentary lifestyles have a profound effect on the development of back pain; indeed one of the most effective ways of preventing it is simply to stay active. An average adult in the India spends at least two hours a day in front of a computer screen or television set, and back problems can be triggered if they don’t sit properly. In an age of mobile phones and computer games, such troubles are increasingly inflicting children of school age as well. Top tips for back care: For back pain, better to see your Doctor sooner than later. Take regular exercise – your Doctor can say what’s right for you. Hours in one position can cause problems – avoid computer ‘hump’. During repetitive tasks, vary your rhythm and take frequent breaks. Adjust car seats and on long journeys, take regular breaks to stretch. Pace yourself with heavy work such as gardening – don’t risk a disc! Watch children’s posture – they shouldn’t carry bags on one shoulder or spend too long at a computer without breaks. Avoid strain when lifting, particularly small children and shopping. Your bed could be part of the problem. Seek Doctor advice on choosing a new one. Take a hot bath or shower, soaking in a hot tub, or using a heating pad, hot water bottle, or heat wrap that provides continuous, low-level heat are all ways to bring healing warmth to your lower back.

My aunt is 45 years old dhe us suffering from knees pain from last two year's. Had many medical treatment but didn't felt any relief. What else she should do please suggest?

My aunt is 45 years old dhe us suffering from knees pain from last two year's. Had many medical treatment but didn't ...
From you Aunt's condition it feels like she has developed Knee Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis can occur at any time of life but the incidence increases with age. It usually affects people over 40 years of age. There is no cure for osteoarthritis but the progression of the disease can be slowed and pain and disability reduced. Treatment options include: Healthy body weight: Maintaining a healthy body weight will reduce stress on the arthritic joints. Nutritional supplements Supplements such as glucosamine have been reported to relieve the pain of osteoarthritis and halt, or even reverse. So please try to take this supplement once a day. Exercise Exercise can assist with the maintenance of muscle strength and the mobility of arthritic joints. Activity at a level that does not cause pain is not thought to worsen osteoarthritis. Non weight-bearing exercises such as swimming or aqua jogging in a heated pool may be beneficial. Range-of-motion and stretching exercises will help maintain the maximum possible movement in the joint. Stretching will help maintain or restore flexibility to the joint’s muscles and tendons. You can apply cold or heat several times a day to reduce your knee pain. Just remember to cover the cold pack with a towel and keep your heating pad at a low setting to avoid burning your skin. Whether you use heat or cold, remove it after 20 to 30 minutes. If the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities you should avoid until knee pain and swelling resolve: Squatting Kneeling Twisting and pivoting Consult a Physiotherapist privately to know the details of these exercises and other management for OA knee. Best wishes.
