Hello User. Went through your post, generally angiography in government hospital costs Rs. 5000 and in private setup it can cost Rs 25000. However some times a Stent may need to be placed simultaneously if there is a block which may cost few lakhs depending upon number of stents.

Don't worry. Angiography is just a test to check the location and extent of blockage in the heart blood vessels, a stent is put only if there is more than 75% blockage in a major vessel. Or else less than 70% blockage can be managed on medication only. Just trust on your doctor and good luck.

Vsd is by birth, a congenital anomaly, not genetic or aquired. When there is a hole between 2 chambers of lower heart which pump the blood to entire body & to lungs for purification with fresh oxygen, the pumping action of heart will be affected for sure. Luckily the defect can be corrected but not during pregnancy. Depends upon symptoms. Avoid extra load on heart by rest, avoid swelling on body by reducing salt, eat more proteins to help baby grow faster & do operation to deliver the baby according to symptoms shown by mother about her heart being affected or not, she can carry the baby to full term at 36 weeks or an early delivery needs to be planned. But vsd is not inherited. Be sure to have a normal baby.

Fluctuation in reading of bp reveals that certain mental stress triggers it. You should go for its monitoring for 3 days, regularily to decide d fact. Hence, no medicine is required at d moment. You should go for morning walk for an hr, dly. Go for meditation to curb down yr mental agony.

Do meditate to stablise bp. Reduce stress, come on things normally, do not get too much hyper on others. Do chandroudaya pranayam which helps to reduce bp & tachycardia. Tc.

I have slight chest pain, it happens suddenly, but not too frequently, what must be causing it?

MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
There are numerous causes of chest pain like muscular pain, cardiac pain, dyspeptic burning like pain. A proper history is needed to rule out any on of this. If pain is like burning sensation then take tablet rantac empty stomach for 7 days. Otherwise get yourself screened up for ecg and muscular pain.

Low blood pressure can not be it self underlying cause is matter of concern, and some time it is the medical emergency, so look for cause of this first.
