Anal fissure may be the problem you have. You should get your proctoscopy examinations under local anaesthesia to confirm the diagnosis.

If the creatinine rise is due to diabetic kidney disease it is not completely reversible. She will need to alter her diabetic medicines though.

Can drinking water with lemon prevent kidney stones? Also, I have been told not to drink city water. What is the best water to drink?

1) Drink plenty of clean water.- Drinking at least four liters of water every day will not only help prevent kidney stones from forming, but also quickly eliminate any small stones that may have already formed. 2) Add fresh lemon, lime and apple cider vinegar to daily beverages. -Taking this a step further, adding fresh lemon or lime juice, or apple cider vinegar, to your beverages throughout the day will help alkalize your body, effectively blocking the formation of kidney stones. These alkalizing juices will also help quickly dissolve any existing stones that might be present in your kidneys, keeping them clean and stone-free. 3) Eat foods that are naturally high in calcium - Dietary calcium actually binds with calcium oxalate, the substance that makes up most kidney stones, and crystallizes and flushes it from the body before it has a chance to form into stones. The best foods in this category include leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, nuts and seeds, and raw, grass-fed milk and butter 4) Supplement with magnesium citrate, B vitamins every day-, Be sure to eat plenty of magnesium-rich foods every day -- these include avocados, broccoli, raw cacao, beans, bananas, and lentils 5) Stick to a 'low oxalate' diet. - Eliminate high oxalate foods from your diet if you have a propensity for kidney stones. Such foods include black tea, grains, and certain nuts and vegetables.

Dear user you need a continued medicine for prolonged period of time along with strict dietary management for desired effect. Also note there will always be some fluctuations in parameters of blood biochemistry due to renal insufficency. At present you can at the most use Rhus tox 30 once daily. General precautions for stones: 1. Drink lot of fluids (keep urine clolorless & urine volume per 24 hr > 1.5 to 2 liters) 2. Reduce salt intake 3. Reduce intake of animal proteins These three things are universal for any kidney stone. If you are taking calcium supplements for bone health, try taking calcium citrate preparation since citrate prevent stone formation. Take calcium supplements along with meals and not in empty stomach. Milk and milk containing products must also be taken along with meals to prevent excessive calcium absorption which can promote stones. However, regular milk/calcium supplement is required. Other things you should follow are: - Increase fruit intake (except grapes) - Decrease coffee, tea, soft drinks, nuts and chocolate

Going by the reports, you need to treat both simultaneously and avoid coitus till future samples from both of you show no growth on culture. Treatment from your physician with a drug from the most sensitive to antibiotic group for sufficient duration is mandatory.

Hi Gokul. The pain is due to high hormone levels in her body now because of the emergency contraceptive pill. Do not worry. She should get her periods soon. The pain and increased urination could also be due to urinary tract infection. Ask her have plenty of water, 2-3 litres a day. Also get a urine culture and sensitivity done to start antibiotic treatment. All the best

I have a kidney stone but no pain but some time I have a pain. I have 8 mm stone in left kidney. Now what should I doo.

I have a kidney stone but no pain but some time I have a pain. I have 8 mm stone in left kidney. Now what should I doo.
About 80% of all kidney stones are composed of calcium and other minerals, usually a combination of calcium and oxalate. In some cases dietary adjustments help to prevent the recurrence of these types of stones. Increase fluid intake: this is the most important preventive measure for all patients who develop kidney stones. It hinders the formation of stones by diluting the urine. The biggest portion of calcium in the diet comes from milk and foods made from large amounts of milk, such as cheeses and yogurt, dark greeny vegetables. Too much may cause calcium stones. Sugar, sodium, and animal protein: it has been found that too much of these may also aggravate the development of calcium or calcium oxalate stones. A diet high in animal protein affects certain minerals in the urine that may promote the formation of kidney stones. Insoluble fiber also speeds up movement of substances through the intestine, so there will be less time for calcium to be absorbed. When vitamin c is used by the body, oxalate is produced. Take personalised expert dietary advice. Thanku.

Don't take them daily. Choose natural methods. Here are some home remedies to cure acidity.  - Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead.  - Have a glass of lukewarm water everyday.  - Include banana, watermelon and cucumber in your daily diet. Watermelon juice is great for curing acidity.  - Nariyal paani is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity.  - Drink a glass of milk - everyday.  - Have your last meal at least two to three hours before you hit the sack.  - Keeping long intervals between meals is another cause for acidity. Have small but regular meals.  - Try to avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, vinegar, etc.  - Boil some mint leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals.

There is no direct relation between the two. As you are thinking mentally the urge to pass urine will be there. If you divert your mind this urge you donot feel. As the passage of urine feeling is felt through the nervous system you are experiencing the same. So divert your mind. Be physically active so that mind gets diverted to the work. Stop brooding when ever you are sad etc. And go for diversion of the mind.
