Make sure you are brushing and flossing twice-a-day – every day! Flossing should be a part of your morning routine, and both brushing and flossing after dinner could even help you lose weight by discouraging bedtime snacking.

"My teeth don't hurt, so they must be all right"

Many people don't see a dentist until it's too late. We call this" emergency treatment" instead of" preventative treatment.

Remember: tooth decay doesn't hurt until it's too late. While patients may feel they are saving money, it usually ends up costing much more in both cost and time.
Ask us a private question to discuss your oral problems one on one or schedule your preventative dental visit today.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning or surgical removal procedures. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Hi lybrate-user if you've had the foul breath for some time, it could be related to the plaque and calculus deposits and the associated inflammation of the gums. It may also occasionally arise from an underlying systemic problem, e. G. Poorly controlled diabetes, gastro-oesophageal reflux etc. However, if it has only started after your meal last night, it might be due to the food particles getting lodged somewhere in between your teeth, possibly in a decayed tooth. I suggest you see a dentist so that the correct cause can be identified and appropriate treatment instituted. Hope this helps.

Is there any tooth treatment and repair process for cavities apart from the conventional drilling and filling? Is it available in India?

BDS, Certified Endodontics
Dentist, Delhi
Hello mam thanks for your query. Well it depends on the stage of cavity if it's in a very initial stage it can be reversed with the use of flouridated tooth paste but in advance stages there is no other option but to drill and remove the decayed portion and fill it with suitable filling material. Even in abroad as of now only this is the option to treat cavities.

Dental Implants

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Thane
Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth. Surgically placed in the upper or lower jaw, they function as a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth. Made of titanium and other materials, implants are designed to hold restorations like crowns or bridges blend in with your other teeth, and are a long-term option for restoring your smile.

Mouth ulcers are usually due to vitamin deficiency or bad digestion. Other causes are tonsils, trauma from teeth, dry mouth, tonsillitis, stress, change in lifestyle, allergies to certain foods and medication, smoking and tobacco chewing, consumption of spicy n hot foods. Start some vitamin supplements. Apply local anaesthetic ointment like dologel. Eat healthy and balanced diet. Increase your water intake. Avoid oilly & spicy food completely

Dentist,
Drugs like marijuana acts directly on brain. It depends upon how much intake of these drugs you r having. It sometimes slow down the effect of lignocaine, so pls inform your dentist about that so that he is able to help you properly.

My teeth had a little break in between two of chewing teeth. So I worry whether it will cause any future problem. Now it causes no more problem. Whether it be painful here after? *

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
If the tooth breaks, have the tooth contoured. Fill the crack in. Place a crown on your tooth. If the tooth has been badly damaged and the nerve or pulp is exposed, the dentist may have to perform a root canal to save the tooth. If the tooth has been severely damaged, it may have to be extracted.
