Fibroid in uterus should be removed surgically. However till then lot of iron rich diet like green vegetables and some herbal, safe medicines with properties to act on fibroid and maintain iron levels should be used.

I am a virgin. Age 22. My vaginal opening is very small. Periods are regular. Is my hymen intact? Does a small opening means tight vagina? Please help. Thank you!

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, FMAS, DMAS
Gynaecologist, Noida
Hello, A small opening in a virgin indicates hymen intactness and tightness of vagina can only be tested after per vaginal examination and hence not tested in virgins.

I am an 18 year old girl and since I was 16 years old I have had a small lump on my right breast. It will come and go. I went to a doctor when I was 16 and they first told me I needed to see a specialist, the next time I went back they said it was a clogged something. I don’t remember what they called it, but two years later it’s still here and I want to know why. Do I need to see a doctor? Could it be serious?

Hello. Most probably what you are referring to is fibroadenoma which occurs in many female. Its a kind of developmental abnormality seen in the breasts. Most of the time it can be treated by conservative methods. But if more symptomatic then, its better get it removed surgically. The surgery will be a minor procedure under local injection, with small, hidden incision and without any future problems. Just to rule out other things a proper history and examination is always better. U can consult me, or text me for any more details.

pregnant lady which food can she eat to get vitamin and protein and which foods can causes.
Hello, A pregnant woman should take utmost caution of what she eats. A nutritious diet rich in proteins, iron, calcium and omega 3 fatty acids is recommended. Overall besides normal food make sure she takes a big glass of milk daily, 2-3 eggs in a week, chicken/ fish twice a week, take 2 helping of fruits and salads daily. Taking 5-6 almonds alone a piece or two of walnuts daily should overall take care of your nutritional requirements. Hope this helps you.
